Wow I went totally in the wrong direction with FJ. I said Buckminster Fuller thinking it was someone who created experiment housing. Never ever would have realized that stood for EPCOT though when it was revealed I went “Oh of course! That makes sense!”

This show is so terrible, I really don’t know why I keep watching. The first episode or two were good but all the rest have been garbage designed to anger the audience about political issues. I feel like this show became some kind of bait and switch. Originally from the trailers it seemed like “So-and-so is accused of a crime and did they really do for or not!?” But every episode has really been “Well-meaning innocent person gets accused of something they didn’t do. Please feel bad for them.” The writing of this one was especially awful. So the girlfriend confronts the mother in the hallway during the trial and suddenly for no reason (from her perspective) the mother does a 180 against the step-father and believes Jack is innocent, even though the daughter was still claiming otherwise? Whyyyyy? And Clara destroyed Jack’s life and would have put him in prison. She should feel bad about what she did. False accusations like hers cause actual rapists to go free and stop people from believing other victims.

Me watching: “Oh interesting, a cult story with a murder where the big bad is a woman! We don’t normally get many stories like that. Usually there’s always a man in charge cause women can only be brainwashed victims in these stories. … oh. 🙄 never mind.”

I also thought the spice guys opening was pretty stupid: ”Have you noticed that when you buy spices at the supermarket, they don’t have much flavor?” Uh, no.

Why do people keep saying this?? Him having that clue ruled against him did not cause him to lose! That is not how FJ betting and math works! Again, that is the same exact logic as saying that if someone lost by $1 in FJ, they only needed to get one more $200 clue and they would have won.

Sure you are. You get one carry-on roller bag and one personal bag. It is definitely a product I have wanted to use while at the airport, but for $45?! Lol no. All I could think during the cremation stones was “That looks like a bath bomb. Don’t accidentally put it in a tub or you’ll be swimming in Grandpa!” Barbara asking to get that woman’s fiancé in the deal was all kinds of cringe. All I could think was that if there was a couple with a hot young woman and Kevin said “I get to marry your wife,” there would be so much outcry about sexual harassment.

What do you mean? That question had no relevance to him winning or not. He lost because of how much he bet in FJ. Getting that one question wrong had no effect on FJ. That’s like if someone loses by $1 and you say “Well if they got one more $200 clue earlier they would have won!” Nope. He’d simply bet a slightly different amount and still lose because he did not know the answer.

I 100% do not think he “made a choice to look like Hitler.” 🙄 That is a really messed up and horrible thing to say. And he has already changed his look in response to the Twitter trolls.

I saw Driving Miss Daisy on Broadway and I still missed that one! I said “Kramer Vs Kramer” because I knew that it won Best Picture and that Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep and the 8-year-old boy who played their son were all nominated. (Still the youngest nominee ever!) I’ve never actually seen it so didn’t know it had more people.

Knowing FJ was some kind of WWII fortification named for a person my first thought was the Siegfried Line, even though I knew that was wrong because the Germans wouldn’t have been written as having “stout hearts,” finally the Maginot Line came to me just in time! Dan had some amusing answers there. Marcus Garvey from New Zealand?! 😆

Hated that episode. Why am I being forced to watch so much of Roby’s family drama? I don’t care about her ex or her son who weirdly hangs around the lab. Why was the mom so angry that they were trying to find out who her daughter was with the flyer? Why did she think the CSIs were supposed to already know her name and exactly what she looked like from just a skull?? I thought the ended with the son painting the face was so hackneyed and dumb.

Wow Danny and Brandon are dicks. It really was disgusting how blatantly they were ignoring Carolyn because she’s a just a woman and why does she matter? “People like us never make it to the end. Strong athletic types… Oh, right Carolyn you’re also here. Well not you. You’re weak and pathetic.” (paraphrased) And sorry but I really don’t have any sympathy for Matthew. He didn’t injure himself playing the game (Jeff!), he was being a dumbass showing off for the cameras. He wasn’t in a challenge, or climbing a tree looking for coconuts, or building something. There was absolutely nothing on top of the rocks, I don’t even know how he planned to get down had he made it up there. It was just a rocky point.

Jeopardy contestants use Who/What/Where/When for every answer. I’ve never noticed any of them pronouncing them Hw. None of the three today did. Neither does Ken.

It sounds like you have one of the accents with the Mary/merry/marry vowel merger so you use the same vowel for all. I am from New York where they all have three distinct vowels that would never be said the same. It also sounds like you have an accent where you say “hw” for “wh-“ words, like Stewie Griffin in Family Guy.

Of course. What do you mean “now”? They’ve always been homophones because they are said the same. 🤨 I chuckled when Ken commented on Melissa not wagering enough on that final DD. So dumb!! She had a runaway game in the bag but couldn’t do simple math.

Ha wow. I thought I had no idea for FJ but said “For some reason I am thinking Wyoming so I’ll go with that.” About fell off my chair when it was right! I guess that fact did manage to burrow into depths of my brain somewhere.

Production making fake idols that are indistinguishable from the real ones just adds an element of meanness to the game that I don't think I like. There needs to be some element of doubt about it in the player's mind. Why would a player ever even think that a production-created idol is not a real one?

I can’t believe they both missed FJ! I thought it was so easy! I had it before Ken even read the full clue. A famous 1980s adventure set in the 1930s? Raiders of the Lost Ark. I also totally thought it was K! I’ve definitely seen huge banners with K written on them hanging from the bleachers during games. The clue referenced something about 3 which made sense for strikes. It’s really nothing like a western or James Bond movie though. I hate westerns and have only seen 2 or 3 of the Craig Bond films but the Indiana Jones movies are awesome!
