I was a computer operator, and every month we had to run a monthly personnel program which required inputting thousands of punch cards. Invariably, one or more of the cards would reject and we had to stop the input until the person responsible for maintaining the cards could come and punch a new card. Then the program put out punch card paychecks which had to be set EXACTLY into the punch card output device, or every single one of the hundreds of checks would be invalid. And there was a very strict maintenance of the paycheck cards, so if we screwed up, the person who maintained the program had to deal with reporting bad cards and we would have to re-punch them.

The main characters are all members of a tv network owning family operating out of Hilton Head. They're rich assholes, except they're Christian assholes. The Latina weather girl who's looking to move up in the world makes a play for Antonio Sabato, who is the son of Donna Mills, but he rebuffs her and takes her hand off his leg. In the first episode, the father/husband, who not only owns the network and runs it but is also the news anchor, has a stroke on the air, and the family gathers to try to decide what to do. Donna Mills forces the hospital to take him out of the hospital and bring him back home. Crystal Hunt is the daughter, a first year medical resident in Johns Hopkins. Everything is green screened. It looks bizarre.

Shara Yahidi was the guest co-host on The View one day this week, and even at 17, she came across as very socially aware and involved. She's going to Harvard next year, too. I shouldn't have been, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well-spoken a teenager was in this day and age.

Those green shirts the Eaters are wearing are atrocious. Why do they all have to be stunt castings? Why not just ordinary people? Goat yoga? Oh, ffs. And nasty to each other already? This isn't going to go well. Evan sure sounds nervous for somebody who claims to be so sure of herself. Those violinists are sure buff. I hate it when ferns lie to the competitors. Which ones were Kristi and Jen again? The NBA guy cheated. But the thing he cheated about wasn't what they got penalized for. Why were they carrying things in plastic shopping bags?

I hope Eve is too smart to not know that Brady is playing her. Somebody needs to take out Mister Shin. He keeps causing trouble. Good mention of Vivian stealing Philip. If they're chemistry testing Nadia and Tyler, I buy it. But it's a shame she went out on maternity leave in the middle of all of this. Sorry, Sonny, bringing in muffins and Arianna is desperation. Sami needs to take slapping lessons from Kate. THAT was a good one. Will, YOU kissed Paul, don't say "we kissed." Damn, Brady gets very into his work. So Sam's a corporate raider, huh? Begging isn't attractive, Sonny. "Are you sure you can handle her?" Er, Andre is a serial killer, Kate, try to remember that.

They're going to have to change the line in the song "I Believe" from The Book of Mormon that says, "I believe that the current President of the Church Thomas Monson, speaks directly to God".
