I'm pretty sure it is; isn't this the guy that Reacher recognized, which started this whole shebang?

I'm pretty sure it is a (badly executed) Boston accent. Hence her line about calling Tom Brady a traitor.

Tournament of Champions - Season 6 Discussion Thread
dleighg replied to Harry24's topic in Tournament Of Champions
I just watched the Casey Thompson battle. Man, does that woman bathe in the tears of virgins, or what? When they said she was on Top Chef season 3 (which was nearly 20 years ago) I was shocked. The woman has not aged. I kind of hoped she'd win, but I think her mushrooms-like-a-sponge did her in. -

The ONLY reason I know her is that she's a judge on the Halloween Baking Championship (and lets herself be heavily made up and costumed, along with the other judges, which is part of. the fun of that show) -

(I've been out of the country so late to the party) I had exactly the same thought when I saw Hunter in that role. Stop trying to make Hunter happen!!! -
Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

and here I always thought it was Salisbury Hill! Love that song. I got free tickets to see P. Gabriel in Central Park 'cause I was working at Korvettes back in 1980. Good times! -
There was no chemistry in that kitchen scene, and like others, I was just begging for it to be over. I think the only explanation for Will's behavior is that he was horny.

What was the whole thing with the postcards (apparently) leading them to the house with the dead woman and the (not guilty) guy?

she seems very manipulative. She knows exactly what she's doing and pretending to be naive.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

I guess my point was that it is hard to prove the money came from future stockholder payouts. What were they *planning* to pay, and that it actually did decrease. -
Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

I imagine so, but how do we really know that? Have they been giving a 50cent dividend per share for the last decade, and this quarter it is 25 cents? Otherwise, it's hard to prove. -
agree on that. How did Evie have time to write a message (in blood?) on the mis-ordered white shirt in the closet? And what did the message say? Somehow I missed that.

I have to say I'm happy that Maneet will be a judge and not a contestant. She was rather full-of-herself as a contestant (I know, they encourage the pro wrestling vibe), and I always felt that the judges knew it was her because she so often cooked Indian-inspired food.

Question for you TV Junkies

I have 88, but that's because I'm lazy and don't cull them off my home page. I mean, if they're dead shows, so I don't get notifications, they're not bothering me. -
I was very confused by that. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, or am misremembering, but how did the bad guy end up at the police station? Or was Amanda just watching from some office in the hotel/conference center?
-
Yeah, she sure doesn't fit the mold of an ADA. I guess maybe they are trying to show that not all ADAs are bad asses.
-
All of them at the chess tournament were so fricking obvious talking into their microphones. Wouldn't the bad guys see that immediately? (And there were a bunch of them wandering around between the real bad guys and the fake spies)

Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads
dleighg replied to Lola16's topic in Commercials
There are two ads I see a lot where the "spokesperson" does such an awkward job, that I wonder why they didn't take another minute to re-tape it. The KeepSake app, where the guy is so awkward saying "from ... my wedding": https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=605659720014488 And then Lee Trevino who pronounces "arthritis" as "arthuritis": -
^The long-running Bravo show is taking its “cheftestants” to Canada in the latest season, which airs March 13.

in the "spooky" aisle, I went to Amazon Prime Video to look up Republic of Doyle, and the big promo on the front page was Russell Crowe in Gladiator......

a relative of mine checked her gas station receipts. Even for me, who is fairly obsessive, that's beyond....

I know that my husband doesn't have a clue, but that's partly because he knows I watch them like a hawk. But if I wasn't around? He might still not read them.....

That was such a great scene. You are feeling for Tosh, clearly being left out by the "mean girls," thinking that she's just going to be sitting there by herself, and then Ruth joins her and she's clearly in her element with a real, adult, friend and colleague.

That's basically it. I think working on it was such a domestic thing to do (unlike just having sex) that it was a meaningful step forward in their relationship.
