  1. I don't watch that one; something about it rubs me the wrong way. Part of it is the (admittedly just staging) at the end. I absolutely hate the idea of putting random shiny/colored things on bookshelves to "fill the space." There is no individuality or creativity there. Just "stuff."/
  2. I recall that The Great Gatsby (Leonardo DiCapprio version 2013) also used modern music. It didn't really bother me (in either case) I think it makes a connection between "then" and "now".
  3. I also am enjoying this. I found myself thinking about it at random times later during the day-- which means it has struck a chord! I found the sex scenes "refreshing" in their frank honesty (and what a lot of unattractive man-butts!) A very intriguing show.
  4. I agree-- where on earth do you put the extra rolls of TP otherwise?
  5. I was reminded of my (87 year old) father's story telling. I always get 10x as much detail as strictly necessary :) Smile and nod, smile and nod.
  6. I kept forgetting that it looked like Ezra's drunken performance was convincing to the feds; so what do they think of Ezra? That he's NOT involved in Maddie's scheme? So they are going to try to get him to play on their side to get Maddie? Which is probably exactly what Ezra et al want to happen? And what all "materials" did they collect under Max's direction? I remember the handcuffs, which we've already seen. Anyone remember what all they got? I imagine they want to get into Patrick's safe (I guess that was a camera to capture the code?)---
  7. Can you explain? Is the second-from-the-bottom not actually "true"? Also, how do pros get matched up with the "stars"? Is it random? I imagine some of the pros are pretty darned disappointed when they find out who they got paired up with.
  8. I wasn't even sure they were still in the same venue (I half wondered whether they were conning us and they'd filmed the routine in Japan) since it looked so different with people surrounding them and waving their hands.
  9. Everyone said Simone looked so great. I thought she looked "stiff" and not graceful. JMHO of course, but I've watched a fair number of ballroom competitions as my daughter did it in college. I thought Nancy and Nick looked pretty comfortable. The football player is cute; not sure he danced all that well. The baseball player-- no. I think Charo or the SNL guy should go first. Why does Mr. T's forehead between his eyes remind me of a Klingon? Those folds!
  10. So true. I find this especially true with a lot of network sitcoms that just struggle to fit in witty phrases to get a (canned) laugh.
  11. It's free on line at the Bravo site.
  12. What I gathered was that she was the roommate of the sister of one of the guys at the country club, and she stole from her.
  13. When Ezra and Ezra and what's her name were out walking, her ride arrives, and the car is in the pouring rain. There is no rain on the walkers. Weird! And Patrick and Saffron walking in the woods, where did they fly to in the private jet? Did they ever say?
  14. I must be slow, but I read the description of the challenge twice and I still don't understand how it works!
  15. I'm pretty sure FN *never* mentions any fame that comes from Bravo shows
  16. Even I, who have never seen an episode of GoT, knew about that from "the air."
  17. My issue with the whole breakfast bar thing is that it often means giving up closed cabinet space. I think that's a terrible trade-off.
  18. we just redid our two upstairs baths and we left the "kids'" bath as a single sink. Isn't the counter space more important? Why do the two kids need to brush their teeth simultaneously? And yes, my DH and I never inhabit our MB at the same time.
  19. their break even was 1.230 million
  20. But the "role" Patrick is playing for Saffron is that he's a temporarily retired dot-com wealthy guy, so he's definitely lying to Saffron about his profession. So it seems to me that he's playing her rather than the other way around.
  21. 5 Top Chef alums named as nominees in James Beard awards (Beverly Kim, Sarah Grueneberg, Edward Lee, Karen Akunowicz (I've eaten there!) and Nina Compton http://www.bravotv.com/blogs/top-chef-2017-james-beard-award-nomination?cid=soc_dg_fb_Feast
  22. I agree- I think a lot of us on the sidelines are quite over this.
  23. I agree. And let's face it, Ezra is inherently much more likable that the other two. I like your ideas of directions this could go!
  24. So I have a question. Somewhere here I heard that it's "standard" that the #2 gives a little I love you speech before being cut. Vanessa did not give the little speech. So does she know she's not getting cut? What if she's supposed to give the speech and doesn't? Did Raven know she was getting cut (because she gave the speech)? Needless to say, the final question is, why did Nick let Raven give the speech instead of just cutting her off? His face told the whole story (IMHO).
  25. I'm pretty sure Richard shoved it in a bag to her hands when he asked for his "one on one" time.
