  1. They should give her the books and let her get caught (somewhat) up. On second thought.... maybe not. "I'm full-frontal in here, dude." Probably not something Mom needs to be reading about!
  2. I'd like to see Claire go off with Mary to be a hunter-in-training, having their own adventures, and call on Sam & Dean occasionally to help out.
  3. Exactly, me too! Although I could see her going out blaze of glory style protecting Alex and/or Jody.
  4. Anyone else secretly hoping that the hunter's wake is for Claire? Of course then I feel bad about it, as she's had a pretty crap life since Castiel intervened. Took her father away (who then got killed), which led to her mother abandoning Claire and eventually getting killed, which led to Claire into a sucktastic life of a runaway. I was a bit ambivalent about Claire, but I did like her in the episode last season and always hoped that those events would lead to her feeling more a part of Jody and Alex's life.
  5. I'm glad they got the cover now, and not back in Season 4. I think they've gotten more attractive with age! And it's OK Jared, some of us have had gray hair since we were 18!
  6. Thank you, thank you! Long time watcher, first time player :)
  7. /slow golf clap for CW. But I've noticed they screw a lot of things up, so why am I not surprised.

  9. Rewatching Season 11, in "Thin Lizzie" the kid (Jordy) whose dad got axed in the driveway is Mike (Finn Wolfhard) from Stranger Things.
  10. The only two episodes I remember that talk about a store with "hunter signs" was this one, and "Meta Fiction" from Season 9. Maybe it ended up being a deleted scene or something? I always thought the angel feathers were what we see after an angel is killed, with the black "fallout" being leftover feathers, since that's the only time we actually see wings that aren't shadow wings. But does beg the question, where is everyone getting them from? Before a few years ago, I can't imagine that many angels were killed on earth, or were even ON earth. Trade with faeries perhaps?
  11. I just watched this last night! Always think "oh no not that episode" but then end up enjoying it a lot more than I expect. Loved the music when Dean was creeping around the house, and the perfect in sync Impala door closing at the end. Baby fits right in with all the other cars! Did you catch the Clue board game stuffed in the attic as Dean walked in? I also was making a note as to who was picking up each weapon. Dean: lead pipe, rope, wrench, candlestick. Sam: knife. Dash/Olivia: revolver. I also played it a lot with my brother growing up, I was always Ms Scarlet and he was Prof Plum. I think because the ladies were being so aggressive in their affection? He's probably not used to women throwing themselves at him. But Dean, yeah. Agree with you there, his reaction said it all. Sam playing cards with them was great (anyone know what card game that was?), as was his forced interaction with them later on the couch to see if they were shapeshifters. Preach it! I really want to know how they explained who shot Olivia and why she was shot 8 times when the cops showed up.
  12. I work in networking, and part of my job is applying access lists on various devices, which we abbreviate as ACLs. I pronounce out each letter, but some of my co-workers call them Ackles instead. I just nod to myself.
  13. Thanks for this, forwarded on to Mom and she's on board for watching the new season :)
  14. This made me laugh so damn hard! He was one of the smart ones! This also made me laugh so much, his expression is priceless. He was not as fortunate as the guy in the poncho.
  15. I don't know what this is, or where it's from, but I immediately thought of Dick's final moments when I saw it.
  16. I was chatting with my mom, and we got around to talking about The Strain (my parents are trying to get caught up before the new season starts this weekend). She said "gotta watch out for aging rock stars getting taken over" and I replied, "On that topic... guess who is coming to Supernatural to play Lucifer? Rick Springfield!" She said, "I really like him, maybe I'll start taping it". Mom will watch Supernatural with me when I'm visiting, but hasn't really gone through the series at all (she said she did try to start it last weekend, but got distracted by Longmire). Count +1 for a fan, at least temporarily (I did warn her he'll only show up in a few episodes). I will admit, I think most of my disgust over this comes from the fact that I'd rather have Lucifer just gone, and not about who's playing him. I did love "Hard To Hold" and listened to the soundtrack endlessly during our road trips when I was younger. So who knows, maybe it'll be awesome and I'll eat my words in a few months!
  17. For those of you more into "it's just people" horror, I've really enjoyed watching "Wolf Creek". Based on the 2005 movie of the same name, it's a 6-episode series from Australia that's coming to the US in October. It has some gore, but if you made it through "My Bloody Valentine" (the movie), you can handle this. Most of it shows up in the first episode. Takes place in the Australian Outback, Western and Northern Territories. I never saw the original movie, so I have no idea if it's a remake, a sequel, or what. But I love the cinematography and the story was entertaining. Bonus points for the intro credits/song being super creepy, it reminds me of a Hinterland/Nightmare On Elm Street mash-up. Some images: Link to an article about the series, it'll be showing on Pop TV: http://www.indiewire.com/2016/07/wolf-creek-miniseries-pop-tv-john-jarratt-greg-mclean-1201710532/
  18. I really like how they did the ONE YEAR AGO... NOW part of this episode, making it seem that Dean was dreaming (complete with washed out color and Sam's voice echoing) and he wakes up to the alarm. Agree with everything you said here! I always got the impression he wanted to stay more for Ben than for Lisa though. Perhaps as a substitute for Sam, someone he can take care of, look out for, and show the ropes to. Also didn't realize until I read somewhere else that the waitress in the bar giving Dean her number was actually the djinn, and her touch on his arm after dropping off the receipt is what poisoned him. Before today I never thought about HOW Dean ended up poisoned, just figured it happened "along the way" somewhere. Guess I picked the right week to quit sniffing glue!
  19. Related to this, article on io9: http://io9.gizmodo.com/cw-president-admits-that-supernatural-will-outlast-him-1785173149 Go for the article, stay for the comments!
  20. Me, watching this episode for the first time: I've skipped it since. This episode not only treated us like idiots, but the Supernatural hunter community as well. NO hunters knew about Chicago's "monster problem" before Sam & Dean show up? The MoL files should take up an entire room, but they were clueless as well? Even if the monsters completely outnumber hunters, you can bet there'd be at least a few crazies with grenade launchers/rockets/vamptonite going after them. And flipping through it again, I got so angry. Dean pronounces Peart (drummer for Rush) as Pert (should be Peert), and him being a Rush fan WOULD KNOW THIS. Second time this has happened in the show, but I can forgive the first since it wasn't actually Dean bringing up the name. You would think that classic rock fans + show filmed in CANADA would at least get this right. You sure they were really in this episode? Maybe it was shapeshifters!
  21. Looks to me Pontiac is way to far south and west of the snippet of map shown. Could still be there, just not on the part we see. Amen to that.
  22. I think it's the red pin. The map looks like it's actually two separate maps, the left half showing Nebraska and part of Kansas (without the state borders being easy to see): The map I pulled off of Google, with Lebanon marked: The right half of the map looks like Chicago and part of Indiana around Lake Michigan: And I really hope that doesn't mean we're going back to Chicago to see all the fancy werewolves and their fancy parties. Because just NO.
  23. Invisibly underground then? Levitating in mid-air? In an alternate plane of existence? I got nothing.
