I also wondered about this. I would think perhaps the offspring of those who took the youth serum may naturally stop aging when they hit their intended physical maturity; this would make sense since TPTB don't want to risk them having offspring of their own that would turn recessive when they have children. Of course this also leads to issues like when do people "die" of natural causes? -

He was the product of a rape - his mother was human kidnapped by a mutant. She was raped and impregnated before escaping. If the show had gone to series, I'm curious if we could have learned if she kept and raised him or abandoned him. -

Plus, it was never explained why the landscape was so barren or what was causing those storms they kept avoiding! -

So, what's the verdict? -
A little late on this but I always enjoyed, "The Flame & The Arrow" (1950) with Burt Lancaster. It's been referred to by some as "Robin Hood in Italy", but I love it just the same! Plus, Burt does many of his own stunts, as he had once been an acrobat. Same with "The Crimson Pirate" (1952). For a good mix of comedy and swashbuckling, I recommend Danny Kaye's, "The Court Jester", one of the funniest movies ever!

A Case Of The Mondays: Vent Your Work Spleen Here

I don't know why that's such a bad thing. The "blessing" could be interpreted by any deity you prefer. Heck, I'd take positive blessings from anyone regardless of religion. -
Big news! Nichole Brown, who plays Aisha has been let go from the cast!! I'm not exactly sure why, but it seems they couldn't find a place for her in the cast now that Tory is there. She lost a lot of weight based on her recent FB photos. It also seems she has financial troubles - she set up a gofundme page because her boyfriend totaled her car and she claims to have been sick recently. She's also on Cameo; for $20.00 she can send you personalized well wishes.

I see we have the same dream! Although mine also included the ability to pay everyone a year's salary to anyone who will quit and leave Bitcheroo in a lurch and never work at the station until she's gone. -
A Case Of The Mondays: Vent Your Work Spleen Here

Something happened to me at work last night and i'd like your opinions as to whether or not I'm making an emotional mountain out of a molehill: I came into work at the usual time and ran into a co-worker (a reporter) who was on his way out of the office as his shift just ended. We had discussed previously a story idea I had suggested a few weeks ago but hadn't heard back about it. I casually asked if he was still interested in it. He said (paraphrasing), "Look, it's been a lousy day, I've been on the job for 12 hours and I just want to go home." Honestly, I felt hurt and thought it was rather rude of him. I wasn't asking for a meeting or anything - if he was in such a hurry to go home all he had to say was, "Shoot me an e-mail and I'll try pitching it at the next meeting." and I would have been fine with that. I don't blame people for wanting to go home after work - even if you've had a good day at work. What is it with the rudeness of people today? Worse still this happened in front of another co-worker (another reporter on the same shift - she was waiting to walk out with him and just stood there). The whole thing left me with a cloud over my head the whole night. Yes, I've been treated poorly before, but this really got to me. Heaven knows how many times I've been stopped on my way out of the office and asked about something but I never behaved that way. I took the time to listen and answer. -

I feel like I've gone about as far as I could go in that job and I'm looking for a new challenge in my career. Speak positively about the job. Tell them how as much as you learned from your previous employers it was a fulfilling experience. **NEVER** badmouth past employers or coworkers - no matter how much they suck! Be the one who takes the high road. To learn something new, push myself to my limit, see how far I can climb. My preferred answer to when they ask, "What do you think are your biggest weaknesses?" I usually respond thus: "I push myself a bit too hard sometimes" "I'm a perfectionist - I like to get things right the first time" "I tend to see everything a a challenge" -
Title for Episode 2 seems to have been decoded! It's, "Little Ms. Perfect" I suspect this one will focus on Sam. I wouldn't be surprised if this were a derogatory name Tory uses to refer to her.

As someone who went to HS in the 80s and to prom, none of the women wore pants. To be fair, prom was seen as that one night of glamour - to wear that special dress - even if you might not have dressed that way the rest of the year. I guess it depends on where one's experience lies.

In Memoriam: Entertainment Industry Celebrity Deaths

Sounds like the fox was hired to investigate the hen house murder. -
Some new potential spoilers for the upcoming season: Ralph Macchio posted the cover of his script for the first episode table reading (shooting to begin on September 3rd). This youtuber deciphered some of the text on the pages. The first episode will be titled, "Aftermath". There is a character called "Maria Nichols". This could be Tory's mother - which means that could be her surname. There's also an "Officer Jackson"; probably the one called to investigate the fight.

I'm curious if that is due to interference from the suits at Netflix. None of this season was up to Wiseman's and Vietti's previous standards. Or perhaps they're distracted by other projects?

Mine as well! When you have a vicious psycho who would kill you, your loved ones and countless innocent people, better to put down the rabid dog. Ditto, but I give the writers props for not making this turn out exactly like any previous adaptation of The Judas Contract storyline. I was hoping Bats, et al were aware of Tara's manipulation although I figured they would have known about her texts via Cyborg's ability. Not unpopular - certainly not with me! Secrets are necessary in many facets of life - superheros need protected identities (especially if you're living in a world in which information travels faster than at any other time in history!), people need private space with secret thoughts and desires and potentially dangerous intel needs to be protected. I am NOT happy with Jefferson, his being shoved as new leader of The League and I definitely don't like this stance of openness. I also can't buy Batman (a man all about secrets) going along with this; it's totally out of character. Ditto!! I knew at some point Tara would be discovered (and how it would be handled), but everything else was jammed in like a messed up recipe with too many ingredients. I was really pissed at the Wally closure bit! I wasn't sure what to be more annoyed with - that Wally was being confirmed as dead (until Zatanna confirmed he wasn't), or that we STILL didn't get any clue as to where he really is. NOW, we get the addition of a Legionnaire in the mix!! We still don't even know what positive changes (if any) happened in Bart Allen's alternate future. All we saw was that the devastation still remained despite the changes for the radioactive meta he was with in Season 2. Maybe someone thinks the Legionnaire (me thinks it's Saturn Girl) is supposed to help answer that, but that was Bart's original storyline. I'm sorry but Season 3 was just sloppy. I hadn't even heard if there will be a season 4 to answer these questions brought up by the events of this season.

I just found that movie and rewatched it. Cheesy as hell, but I nearly died when I realized the lead role was played by none other than Kevin Conroy!!!! One of the other characters was played by Eric McCormack (before landing his role in "Will & Grace"). -
Agreed! They could have aged the characters later on when new storylines were needed and to show the original team members graduating to bigger and better things (or as was the case with Wally & Artemis, retiring from the biz).

Yeah - my dad met her - when she was at Rikers Island shortly after her arrest. He nearly blew a gasket when I told him that she eventually became professor emerita at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Let's just say he wasn't a fan of hers. Back in the 70s and 80s, NYDOC, like NYPD were often called in to help with security for TV and film productions. Dad was one of the team to secure an area used for an episode of Kojak. He told me it was interesting to see Hollywood magic first hand - like taking 10-12 hours to prepare a set to shoot what would eventually be five seconds of screen time! It was a scene in which a bunch of guys burst out of a white truck. I happened to catch that episode a few years back on Me-TV. I felt like my dad's story came full circle! He also had nothing but nice things to say about Telly Savalas! In fact, he said, the man you saw on Kojak was essentially Telly being himself! Very down to earth guy! His buddies in the department also told us about a prank they played on David Caruso when he was on NYPD Blue. Caruso has been known to be a bit of a jerk sometimes (he has a bit of a rep others have confirmed to me later on) and on one occasion, he was on set at Rikers filming a scene in a jail cell. He acted a bit jerky to some of the guys in between takes. When the scene was done, they shut the cell door, the lights were turned off and everybody left in him there for a little bit. One favorite story was towards the end of my dad's career when he was running the procurement unit at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The area is often used for filming and on one occasion, The Equalizer was filming a shootout. Someone in the department forgot to tell my dad and his crew that there would be filming shots of gun play ( even guns with blanks sound like the real thing) so when they heard gunshots from down below, they went running out in riot gear prepared for the worst. Then as they entered, they hear, "CUT!!!". Everybody had a good laugh about it - and Dad and his crew got to meet Edward Woodward. Dad said he was quite personable and appreciated this modern day comedy of errors!

I, for one LOVED it! It felt like season one all over again in every way! I miss that season and incarnation of the team. I still think TPTB could have done 2-3 seasons with them before moving into the current format. Sadly, I find season 3 overall to be rather convoluted and not as engaging as the first 2. I think they're adding too many characters before we better develop what we have. I also like the idea of an alternate universe - maybe we'll get a grand finale featuring several versions of the team and JL members fighting to save the, well, universe! If they wanted, they could focus on the Outsiders exclusively but I personally would prefer to see more of the original team.

Got a clue into what's coming up in Season 3: According to this video which discusses a collection of Comic Con interviews from CK cast members, there WILL be fallout from the HS fight. The school will be bringing in law enforcement, parents and community leaders to discuss what occurred. La Russo Auto and Cobra Kai will face consequences from parents. Since Johnny is no longer involved with CK due to Kreese taking it from him, I'm curious how this will affect him. Daniel could also end up losing his reputation and the dealership may suffer. Tory could face assault with a deadly weapon charges. Robby might not suffer serious consequences if he and Miguel claim self defense and if Miguel's family chooses not to press charges against him. Expulsion for some students is a distinct possibility. Robby is still on the run, so he apparently is not in police custody as of yet.

Movie remakes and sequels you'd like to see

Ooh! I remember seeing that! I thought it seemed like a pilot that never got greenlit. I also remember the sister of one of the survivors who was somehow living in the desert on her own and lusted after one of the handsome guys but her jewel was the wrong color, and he of course was relieved! I wouldn't mind seeing this one get a remake. For some reason, I keep thinking of that joke Drew Carey used to tell about this scenario: Britain's PM called the US President: PM: "Help Help!! This is England! Why are we being invaded??" US President: "Oh! You KNOW why!!" In a similar vein, I also think a remake of America 3000 might be entertaining. The film was a post apocalyptic story in which women ended up ruling the world and men were enslaved by them. A literal battle of the sexes ensues until man and woman learn to love one another again. I used to wonder about a remake of "One Million Years BC", (since the 1966 film we know is actually a remake of the 1940 film) but I fear the CGI dinosaurs might get too grating - unless it's on the level of the dinos used in the first "Jurassic Park". It could be an old fashioned popcorn film in the right hands. Who would fit a doe skin bikini like Raquel Welch? Or be a great Rock Tribe hero like John Richardson?
