  1. I'm on the West Coast, but get the East Coast feed of Bravo, so my husband and I don't watch until several hours after the episode has aired. I ALWAYS come here to get the spoilers on who went home, but just couldn't do it last night, because I really didn't want any of the five to go home. It's the first time I can remember that I will be fine with any of them winning, and sad with whoever goes home. Nick's exit did make me tear up, he came across as genuinely classy and joyful, and I would love to eat his food. Except that fish cake, which did not look visually appealing at all. Loved Tom the dad this episode. From his dad jokes, to dad taking his kids fishing, to the proud looks I caught on the second watch for the ones who did good, and his what looked like genuine sadness for those that didn't do so well, he just seemed so much more relatable than sniff and sneer Tom. Ok, I know this is weird, but I missed it the first time around, but it just totally stood out and squicked me out on the re-watch: Evelyn has a bracelet that is basically a red cord or string that is tied around her wrist that has the two ends below the knot that hang down quite a ways. I noticed those getting dragged through the food during prep at one point, and as much as she is the person whose food I imagine I would enjoy eating the most out of the five (Tacos!! who wouldn't want a taco? Although both of those tacos looked really dry and minimal tonight), it made me really want a wrist net for her bracelet ends.
  2. I know it has been several years and a global pandemic away from when this came out, but there is a really good book that came out last month called Rajneeshpuram: Inside the Cult of the Bhagwan and its Failed American Utopia that I think fans of Wild Wild Country would really enjoy.
  3. I am absolutely flummoxed at why the remaining people in the competition would even think Jo would be the last one standing. I feel the obvious choice was Jackson, it was FOH that did him in, not food. Really, none of that matters, because everyone was wrong. I really enjoyed LCK this year. I thought Sarah was totally underqualified and served boring food in the regular competition, and was pleasantly surprised that she seemed to have found a totally different food plane once eliminated. Where was that food in the regular competition? My husband and I ended up totally rooting for her, and are happy she made it back to the main competition. I really hope she can bring what she brought in LCK to the regular competition, and that she doesn't just do well in LCK format for whatever reason. (West Coast here, so will still have to wait a few hours to find out.)

    The NBA

What makes you think Portland wouldn't want Kyrie? As a life-long Portland-area resident, there is nothing in our history to say that we would have enough good sense not to want him. We can't give them CJ, though. He belongs to the Pelicans, now.
  5. I had to look at this for a long time, because I knew there was something about Posh's face that REALLY reminded me of someone else. I couldn't place it. And then it came to me. Her facial expressions look exactly like Charlene of Monaco's do whenever she is around her husband. At least to me.
  6. Thank you all for helping me decide to just delete tonight's episode off my DVR. It felt really good to do it, and I'm sure I will be making the same decision for the rest of the season. Also, thank you for sharing the link so not only do you all know, but now FN knows. What an embarrassment of a season.
  7. That's why we can't have nice things. Actually, I hope we have the first pick, because we would probably trade up to get him. On a side note, has anyone else set fire to their bracket? I almost have, but my husband has Baylor, Arizona, and Iowa in the final 4, and I have Baylor and AZ out in the 2nd round, so there's still some hope, although AZ is looking like that is going to get me, now. Oh, well, you can't say it hasn't been an entertaining ride for the most part so far . . .
  8. He looks like an even skinnier, easier to push around Zach Collins. As a Trail Blazers fan, I'm legit scared that at the rate we are going, we will end up with the first pick and use it on him. Because that is TOTALLY SOMETHING WE WOULD DO.
  9. Well, had a talk with the bosses after I posted this. It did NOT go well. They don't think it is a Hippa violation at all, and even if it was, the therapist gave them "good feedback" as to help them help us more, so what's the problem. I told them how I felt like I was in a trap (definitely could have phrased it better, but I was so mad at the lack of concern, and did feel that way) and they got angry and they have nothing more to say to me, and I have nothing more to say to them. Someone else wants me to go to the City HR person with them and file a formal complaint, but at this point, I just don't have it in me. I do not want to go back to work tomorrow. My husband wants me to go in tomorrow and just quit.
  10. Thank you so much. I have other info I was going to use, but it wasn't about EAPs specifically. I can't thank you enough for how helpful this is.
  11. Ok, here's one. A few weeks ago our employer brought in a therapist from our EAP for us to talk to about anything, because of all the stress we have had in work dealing with mask enforcement, or a lot of people have had other major problems in life lately. We all were given an hour off (paid) to go talk to them should we choose. A bunch of us did. Yesterday, in a staff meeting our bosses went over what the therapist told them about what we said "in generalizations, and with total anonymity" and wanted suggestions on what they could do to help resolve the issues. Now, from what I can tell, not only is that unethical, it should be illegal, (right?), because none of us had committed abuse or harm to ourselves or others in these conversations. I never said anything about work, because I had a more pressing issue to talk about, but feel duped, like this was a fact finding expedition, instead of a we care about you gesture, and the people that did say something are feeling incredibly betrayed, and wondering how general and anonymous the feedback actually was.
  12. I guess there's a reason I never watch ice dancing, even when it is Olympics time. Everything has put me to sleep, except alien.
  13. I was worried that wasn't going to live up to what I expected. I was wrong. Also, I had to Google how tall Kendrick Lamar was.
  14. According to my husband's friend (who spent years working at Red Bull travelling the country to handle the "talent" at various events where they had major sponsorship, and has had many interactions with him) when he started the transition from Shaun White GOAT snowboarder to Shaun White business mogul.
  15. I really don't watch skating, I used to LOVE it, and watch anything and everything that came on growing up (which wasn't much), and BEG to go to Stars on Ice. I don't now. IDK if it has changed or I have. I read what you all have to say. But Eteri's girls leave me cold, I've never been a pairs or dance wonk, and I don't even watch always with the Olympics. That being said I'm so happy I watched last night. Things I loved: The artistry of the first 2 Japanese men. OMG, my younger self had a partially choreographed program to Never Tear Us Apart in my head, and someone actually skated to it. I'm so happy someone realized what a great song it would be to skate to!! Nathan Chen. Wow. When someone is that good at what they do, no matter what it is that they do, when you that much are on just another level, it is always utterly captivating to watch. I've seen Jason Brown once, and I really didn't get him. I had tears in my eyes after that program. That was just pure art on ice. I get why he isn't even going to medal, but I would watch the shit out of that. I got up and watched it again this morning, and I still feel that way.
  16. No, at the time I created my account, I had an inordinate amount of British ex-pat friends. The weirder thing is none of my children are named Estella. It's a bizarre inside joke. I guess I'm a perfect warning that people on the internet are often not who they seem to be. 🙃
  17. Yes, yes I did. Thank you. I have a HUGE mental block with Chasity's name, I always want to make it Chastity.
  18. My thoughts on the collections from favorite to least favorite: Coral-- Her collection was pretty great. I love, love, loved her zippered outfits. They were beautifully tailored and I would totally wear something like that. I rewound and watched her runway again. But I know I'm not the demographic they were looking for. Shantall-- Some of the pieces were great (the dress everyone swooned for, and the pant suit), and DD WORKED the runway. Didn't hate anything, except for the boxy, heavy looking dress she took out and wore herself. Christina-- I think my favorite outfit was her first one, and I hated it until she finally listened to Christian, and made a bra. The pink print with black spots made me think pink 101 Dalmations, and her model looked so baggy in it. I couldn't with the period prints, or celery print, either. Chasity-- Those outfits would be perfect in a Copacabana musical starring a knock off Cher. That is the only place I can see that working. Oh, I forgot to say, I think that 3 of them all got someone saying that they should win, while Chantall got Coco Rocha saying she saw her POV as a designer. Maybe they couldn't even find anyone in there that thought she should win?
  19. I've been on nights the last few days, and am just catching up on this week's episode. I didn't realize she was back. I made it halfway through Monday, and deleted, and deleted Tuesday's episode, too. I'll be watching here to see if and when he is back. It's not that I don't like her, Ken is just more Jeopardy to me. I know it shouldn't be such a big deal about who is hosting, but the whole prolonged search and Mike Richards debacle has made not watching Jeopardy for extended periods a thing in this house.
  20. Yes!! I only watched (and loved) the first 3, and then we watched Episode 1 together, as it came out right after we got married, and refused to watch the next 2, and then watched Episode 7 and declared myself out. He watched all of them (and was 16 to my 10 when Return of the Jedi came out) in the theaters, and re-watched them on D+. I've only halfway been watching TBOBF, whereas he turns it into an event where he makes everyone be quiet, turns the lights out, and grabs a cup of tea and a snack and then, and only then will he watch.
  21. Came here to agree with all those saying this is hands down the best episode of the season, question the logistics of such a small ship, but I also need to have a . . . lament(?) about my husband watching this episode, that I don't feel I can share with people IRL, because it will make them look at him differently. As Mando was limping down the non-OSHA approved catwalk to meet the Armorer, my husband turned to me and asked why doesn't Boba Fett just use his pack and fly down there? He's the one that we got D+ for to watch The Mandalorian, and I subscribed again so he could watch this, and after the title, music cues, different armor, different voice, and the Darksaber, he thought he was watching Boba Fett until I paused it and said "PLEASE do not tell me you think that is Boba Fett." I just really don't know how to deal with that, still.
  22. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/32875645/deion-sanders-flips-no-2-overall-college-football-recruit-travis-hunter-florida-state-jackson-state-national-signing-day Not a huge Deion Sanders fan, but that is a SERIOUSLY huge flip for the FCS.
  23. I could not agree more with this sentiment, but I really don't think anyone will change anything about how they approach child care in that family despite anything that happened with Jana or Josh. They're all too entrenched in their beliefs, and arrogant to realize that any of them could be in the wrong, IMHO.
  24. I totally agree with this. I liked Hayley Mills' book, but it ended so early in her life (somewhere in her 20's, and I was disappointed with that. I really liked the story and the back and forth narrative between Ron and Clint, which I normally don't like.
  25. I don't think you could put together a group of more unsympathetic, publicity-hungry, all around dumb and/or absolutely ugly (personality wise) people possible if you tried. I hope all of them fade into total irrelevance (most of them in a jail cell) because I think that is the worst thing possible for them.
