I remember from another fundy dating manual that a woman should never pursue a man. Men are supposed to pursue the woman and women are supposed to wait for the man. A "shy guy" would not be a real man in their world. The man must be in control at all times.

I just came back from a late dinner near all the bars of WIC and I saw what Derrick will be in a year or two. There was a street preacher setting up on the corner getting ready to try to preach to the drunk college kids. I hope someone will remember to tell him that Jesus turned water into wine to keep a party going.

I think there is some truth to this. If Derrck is correct about leaving the show last May, I can see him walking away from TLC over the issue of his ministry. He would be upset that he couldn't further his agenda when the network is allowing Jazz and any other LGBT personality to further theirs. Derrick's delusions do not allow him to see that Jazz's agenda truly is I'm a human being just like everyone else who deserves to be able to live her life without being killed.

One thing that I don't get with Derricks latest Twitter outburst couples with the info posted above about Cross Church is how is Derrick going to get a job once he finishes the ministry program. I can't really see anyone from Cross Church helping him get a job. I'm sure they approve the underlying homophobia but not his bellgerent tone. Who would want to hire a minister who is prone to seemingly unprovoked tirades. He is a loose cannon in the worst of ways. That's 12 grand down the toilet.

Some of the Twitter comments mentioned his personality change. His response is that he hasn't changed but the liberal media is to blame. As if.

And then she could be on Worst Cooks in America. That could help gain her followers. She is probably not too far off on Instagram to be getting paid for her work. Jessa really could make something of herself if she only had any drive.

I was reading over his tweets (sorry I don't know how to copy and paste from Twitter) and he is still going on about not getting money from TLC. I really want to ask him how he could afford the tuition for his ministry program if they were never compensated for the show. Who has $12,000 laying around to pay for a program like this plus the normal expenses a family of 4. Even if he does have an actual income-producing job, there is no way that Cross Church would let him pay in installments.

I feel that you might be correct with your assessment. I really hope that nothing happens to Izzy or Sam when it all comes to a head. Derrick does not seem to be of sound mind, and I hope that he seeks appropriate help before anything happens that he cannot take back.

I can't really muster up any sympathy for Ben. He chose this life. He can leave at any time. He is young enough to get a real job and go to college.

That eyeliner also makes her dark circles look worse. She really needs to start using brown, gray or navy instead.

Personally, I go with grandma lied because one side of my family has a really murky background. My great-grandfather and his brother both took the village name in Poland where they were from as their last name. Their mother was a woman of loose morals who had a different last name. This great-great-grandmother married in America but later divorced. I have had the opportunity to read the divorce decree and it was very interesting. She apparently preferred reading books or hanging out with other men over her wifely duties. As far as I know, my great-grandfather and his brother never spoke truthfully about their father. The stories changed depending on the day (and probably how much they had to drink). My mom insists that they were both illegitimate and possibly Jewish. I have thought about doing Ancestry DNA to confirm this, but I am leery about the company having the rights to the data.

I do love the Ancestry DNA commercials that show how someone's grandma lied back in the day. I thought I was German but it turns out I'm Scottish. Yeah, someone lied. I have learned through research, the DNA tests were designed with African Americans in mind so they could learn where their ancestors came from. So super diverse results are actually the norm for these programs.

I love how in the webpage, it's just $12,000. I have never uttered those words together. Maybe if I was talking about a car.

Or my favorite Jo design element, open shelving in the kitchen. I need my upper cabinets to hide all the free plastic cups, gladware or margarine tubs, etc. I don't know where Jo expects the homeowners to hide their kitchen clutter. Unless you never cook, her designs are completely impractical.

In my Polish -American family, the nursery was not set until the baby was born. Most of my cousins have stopped this tradition and have decorated the baby's room while pregnant.

You also have to take into account the family's isolation. If JD does leave the family then he loses everyone he has ever cared about or knows. The level of courage to leave your whole life behind and everyone you have ever known is enormous.

I kinda wonder if Jill ended Nurie's courtship when she found out that she was pregnant. I'm sure Nurie will be needed to help care for her siblings.

I have to cut Jill a little slack. I used to work as a pharmacy technician and compounded prescriptions, I can cook and bake many things but I cannot cook rice.
