  1. Thought the penalty was a great strategy. Neither team could predict that weather would shut the cabin ride down and that was the monkey wrench in their plans. The Italian mothers have zero sense of direction and it will be incredibly interesting to see how they're going to manage to survive long during the race at that rate. I would have been pulling my hair out if I was Jillian's partner but I won't lie, I started laughing when she started crying because she felt that Emmett wasn't listening to her. If you're constantly screeching and panicking, you should automatically assume that those who are used to being around you have mastered the art of tuning you out. I know they're exes and from what I hear they were together for a while but I found their dynamic interesting. I found Jillian to be more motherly at times with him. Sad to see the guys go home on the first leg as I thought they could have gone far based purely from a challenge perspective.
  2. I'm going to vomit if I hear Johnny and Sarah speak so incredulously about how well they work and how awesome they are. I love Johnny and Sarah's reactions. I thoroughly enjoy Wes and his commentary. I thought it was hilarious when he and Nany were talking about sports they play. And when he summed up the game as being the most entertaining thing that he wasn't able to enjoy because his team's challenge lives were on the line, lol. Why is Johnny talking about losing with grace. Didn't he pout like a baby when Sarah put him up and he ended up losing that challenge? Is it losing with grace when your sole purpose of making an alliance with Cory isn't because you're acknowledging him as a threat but a way to get retribution for a vote he made to put up for battle? I was actually surprised that Wes waiting until his fate was already sealed having lost the challenge before talking politics and making sense with other people that Johnny and Vince are not safe to keep around in the house. Now it makes sense that Wes was keeping his mouth shut to appease Nany. I'd love nothing more to see Wes' scheming pay off big time with a Johnny/Sarah exit from this game.
  3. Just catching up on the episode. Jules' eating behaviours are uncomfortable to watch but so is listening to Carole and Bethenny pretend to be that concerned about her. It seems like they're concerned more for the sake of having something to talk to other people about. I thought there was great irony in Carole's sunken, skeletal looking face talking about weight loss and eating issues with Jules. I doubt Carole's intentions and example of that is when she was retelling the story to Heather, she made it seem like she easily and quickly accepted Jules explanation of being naturally skinny. That's not how it was at all. She outwardly doubted that by mentioning Jules' body and talking about on numerous occasions in her THs. However, I find the dynamic between Carole and Heather to be more laid back and comfortable. Carole's demeanor is entirely different around Bethenny. If she had this exact same conversation with Bethenny, there would be an element of cattiness or gossip to it. I didn't feel that in Carole's delivery when talking to Heather. Jules didn't seem to have any issues with her vocabulary or expressing herself to Dorinda. She only has that issue with Bethenny and I think that's because she feels the judgment and subconsciously overthinks when she tries to communicate with Bethenny. It doesn't help when Bethenny constantly takes digs at her intelligence and ability to speak when Jules is in the midst of trying to express her opinion. How did Bethenny go an entire year with abnormal bleeding and didn't bother to go to the doctor before that point? If you're so worried about leaving your daughter behind to be raised by Jason's loving family, then perhaps you should stop sacrificing your health and time for the sake of building an empire and making money. It's not like you're going to end up homeless for real if you worked a slightly lesser pace and make the time to see the doctor when your body isn't working the way it's supposed to. Wouldn't you know if you had a living will or not? Ramona's horrible sports analogy...oh man, haha. Dorinda's party look was yikes. I'm tired of hearing about Carole and Luann. Leave it alone Ramona. If neither of them want to approach a conversation then let it be. I don't blame Luann for being so dismissive at the party. Ramona wants to constantly lecture her about what she should do but after she's already done, she's giving instructions in alternate apologies and persistence until Carole finally accepts one of them and grants Luann the honour of her presence over coffee just to talk about things, not to patch things up. Carole is not ready to move on and until she is, nothing Luann will do will appease her and make her feel it's worth it to meet her and discuss anything. She can shift the goal posts and create new expectations for how Luann can prove her sincerity and if Luann met all of them, she would shift the goal posts. Queen of the 'I don't care, I'm passed it' is the complete opposite of that. And that's fine if she needs more time but at least shut down the conversation when Ramona brings it up. Jules' husband is so waste.
  4. I didn't mean my comment as a judgment against Thomas. Both are extremely flawed but I brought it up because it paints Thomas negatively that he was projecting a certain respect for the mother of children when the cameras were rolling and then behind the scenes he publicly outs Kathryn for the very thing he claimed he wanted no part in. But neither of them would be who they are if they didn't speak too soon and put their foot in their mouths constantly.
  5. More than you think. Kendell and Gigi's runway walks are horrendous.
  6. In Landon's case, it was very much a double standard. Kathryn did something stupid and fortunately it hasn't impacted the health and well-being of her children. Shep did something stupid the moment he and his equally high friend decided to jump in a car and drive while under the influence. Just because he isn't the immediate caretaker of someone doesn't negate the fact that he put lives in danger of every other driver, passenger and pedestrian on the roads within the vicinity of that vehicle. Again, he did something stupid and fortunately it didn't have a tragic impact on himself, his friend or anyone else on the road with them that night. The point was Landon saw one story as so hilarious while the other she went out of her way to share news about Kathryn that didn't involve her as a way to shame Kathryn. So I do think it was a double standard but I can see that the way I phrased it, it may have come off as a general observation. I meant it was yet another double standard for Landon. Kathryn seems equally insufferable to me but Kathryn doesn't hide herself so picking her apart is so easy because she exposes herself, flaws and all. With Landon, she's so shady about all of it but wants to maintain an air about her when she's more like Kathryn than she thinks.
  7. Cameron was the only guy that seemed that I found attractive and liked his personality. He wasn't so into himself that he forgot to actually get to know the other person. I also liked that everyone put them in the Truth Booth because they didn't they they were a match and they just wanted the confirmation just so that they could be separated. Giovanni and his girl I'm doubtful about. They seem very genuine but their behaviour seems very repetitive as if they're doomed to constantly repeat the same mistakes no matter how many times they have an opportunity to learn from it. They both seem to either be all in or all out from the get go because of their personalities but from the start they both said they're Scorpios that are attracted to that 'fire' personality which makes them often gravitate to people from their own star sign but it often doesn't work because they end up being too much alike. They're doing the exact same thing right now. They seem to fall in love in the moment and that's all they know is each other but time will expos the aspects of their personality that are often the deal breakers in their past relationships. Then again, they may be a perfect match (which really depends on how they filled out their questionnaires) but right now I look at them and keeping recalling their first conversation with one another and keep thinking that they're falling into the same trap.
  8. It's possible. Even after all of this she hasn't even come out and spoken about his behaviour but rather only tries to claim her innocence. Her apologies might seem even a tad bit more believable if she at least showed the progress of acknowledging what he did for the disgusting thing that it was since prior to this all she did was defend and get upset with other people when they had the better judgment to question him when she didn't. I also wouldn't put it past Vicki to have done some shady stuff that Brooks is aware of that she would want to keep under wraps. Again, even before the cancer, the man admitted to telling her son-in-law to abuse her daughter and he said vile and vulgar things to her daughter regarding his body. If that wasn't enough for Vicki to draw the line then what kind of woman she is? Not one that seems to have much integrity in my books.
  9. Kathryn is easily provoked and becomes manic in those situations. I found it interesting that she mentioned that she was on anti-depressants as I didn't know this about her before. I always get nervous when I hear someone is on anti-depressants. I've looked at several studies back in my university days where depression patients who didn't exhibit a certain threshold of depression would have dangerous side effects to anti-depressants where they become even more depressed rather than the intended opposite. Kathryn and Landon behaved poorly all night long. Landon calling out the failed drug test was low because when she was called out for her comment, she threw it to Thomas to back her up. Landon doesn't need to take any and every opportunity to take a dig at Kathryn. Landon is intentionally trying to get under Kathryn's skin because if she wasn't, she wouldn't go out of her way to bring up things that have absolutely nothing to do with her. Apparently Kathryn has said nasty things about her even off screen - if you're so offended by them then take her up on that stuff. Don't make your entire defense about Kathryn's behaviour with everyone else on the stage. Why did Landon find Shep's weed story so amusing but took such delight in outing Kathryn's drug use? Double standards are so rampant. Thomas saying he didn't want to degrade the mother of his child but apparently he's mentioned it to the media. Craig is gonna Craig. I won't be surprised when we see him again next season and he's found another excuse for why he didn't take the bar. For all his fuck ups, I will say that I really like his girlfriend and he lucked out with her. She seems like a level-headed and normal girl. Maybe I'm bias because I feel like a lot of her reactions to the drama are what mine would be too. The most classic is when Thomas went 0-100 and started with his rant and she responded with an incredulous 'what?', haha.
  10. David has some seriously ugly taste in jewelry. He says that he likes to buy things that Shannon wouldn't buy for herself...well maybe there's a reason for that, lol. Shannon is judgmental and indecisive but she's trying with her marriage. Her reaction to the necklace was hilarious...kudos to her for actually putting that on in public. Kelly's description of her marriage seems odd. So basically the only reason that she's still married to this guy is because he wouldn't let her divorce him? So she's just going to make it work because she doesn't seemingly have any other option? She filed for divorce because he's too controlling but ended up staying married to him because...he's too controlling. I don't know understand why Kelly is saying that she doesn't like seeing someone get ganged up on. The first time she met Vicki and the other women was at Heather's party and no one ganged up on Vicki. Not going out of your way to engage with someone who has wronged you and has not truly owned up to their actions and apologize for it is not ganging up on someone. I suspect that will come later on but there was nothing to this point that should have Kelly saying the things she is. Vicki is honestly a piece of work. The cancer charity thing makes sense now - her business took a huge hit after the scandal was revealed last season. She's trying to save face now by saying that she was completely duped and she didn't lie about that but that in itself is a lie. She's trying to play the victim by using semantics. She constantly talks about how smart and successful she is but no way would someone would be that stupid to realize that if they feel the need to lie on behalf of someone, it's probably for a reason. She didn't even bother to address it with Brooks. She just continued to lie for him to make his story seem more plausible to the other women. She promoted his lies - just because he didn't outwardly tell her he didn't have cancer doesn't mean that she was a duped victim. She played stupid because that way it didn't damage the state of her relationship. It was more important for her to be in a relationship with a lying, abusive jerk so that her love tank can keep filled than it was to be morally responsible and particularly supportive of her daughter who had personal encounters with Brooks that would make most mothers send him packing the moment that the accusations were confirmed from the man himself. Speaking so disgustingly to and about your own daughter and you kept him around.
  11. They're pissed because they have different expectations for Rob than they do for themselves. Kim hasn't been bothered by dating someone that her family didn't approve of but her family still tolerated his presence. All of them talk about Rob and stupidly ignore the fact that they're not going to be a part of his happy life if they aren't willing to accept the person that is responsible for his happiness. Kim also hasn't been bothered by marrying someone without telling her family. Khloe had a quick engagement and marriage to Lamar and I believe that Bruce was the last person to find out about it. But those things were all okay because it was Kim and Khloe. They are the judge, jury and executioners...don't you dare ask them to uphold the same expectations for themselves as they do for others!
  12. Treygaye's onscreen presence is annoying to me when she's dealing directly with the camera. It seems too put on. Funnily enough, I enjoy her as a reality cast member seeing her in her element of reacting to what's going on around her. I find her reactions and commentaries are enjoyable but her personality doesn't translate as authentic to me in her selling segments. Not sure I'd watch a show featuring her. Though I do think she does well in a format such as in this challenge where she was bouncing off the energy of the others on screen. She's quick witted and vibes naturally. Liked it much better than her 'fleek' segments. I felt that Anna and Jernard lucked out most with their ingredient combinations. Anna's cooking saves her each week but at some point you're going to near the end of this show and end up a contestant that can't cut a promo to save her life. What then? Others have gone home for far less than Anna's consistent screw ups in front of the camera. A great chef having a bad week is likely to rebound than someone who each week shows the same flaws in her presentations. Not sure how Anna improved as Bobby suggested. She still lost her train of thought, had a lot of dead air and was cold as usual. For the second challenge, I thought it seemed awkward because it seemed obvious that she was just relying on her womanly experience of talking to men.
  13. Kim and Khloe only seem to care when it's Rob that's 'letting down' their mom. When they do it, I guess it's okay. They also said they were raised better than to do what Rob did when he excluded them from such an important decision in his life yet they turned around and said that they wouldn't go to the wedding. Well aren't you admitting to thinking and behaving in the exact same manner in which you criticize Rob for? And Khloe can shut it about Rob being the weak link in the family. We don't even know for sure if he's a real Kardashian and she wants to call him a weak link that needs to be removed. Khloe is such an immature piece of work. It's one thing that she doesn't want to congratulate her brother or reach out to him but she's going out of her way to say that it's wrong for anyone else to do otherwise and even throwing digs in advance at those that reach out to him. If you don't care, why in the hell are you concerning yourselves with what others do with their well wishes? I get it, siblings fight but if you're going to take it to TV then at least try not to be so hypocritical when you expect your brother to be behaved as if he was raised better when clearly you behave as if you weren't raised all that better. Why did Kim waste all that energy insulting Rob and pretending not to care when she's been in his same situation and could have understood his feelings long before her convenient display of maturity? I'd like to know if there's anything on this show that isn't just well timed production to suggest they aren't as vapid, self-absorbed, petty people? Kourtney is the only regular that I find more genuine and relatable.
  14. The problem with Kathryn is that refusing to allow Thomas to see their kids served her best interests and that's where her thought process starts and stops. He's no saint but withholding visitation because he doesn't pay enough child support is petty on her part. She can't expect take advantage of a law that gives her full custody and a stronghold on the decisions as it relates to their children but then not expect that he take advantage of a low that says he is not responsible for providing a sum of money to her as it suits her fancy. It's give and take and regardless if Thomas doesn't want to be the dad that's around for the hard stuff (late night crying, feeding, bath time, etc.) if he wants to his children and forge a bond with them, let him.
  15. What kind of drugs did she test positive for? I didn't see that story. If Katheryn returns, I don't think it will be another season of 'making it work' with Thomas. She's posted and her family has given interviews confirming that she's been in a relationship for a while. While the show must certainly have its production effect to help with the drama, I don't think they'd be stupid enough to recycle a storyline when off-season shenanigans have made it clear that Katheryn has moved on. I think there are many factors that have influenced Katheryn's desperation when it comes to Thomas. I do think that she is genuinely attracted to him. I do think that she would like the status that comes with being with him. I think she would enjoy the money (and she's already used her children as a means to get him to co-sign a loan so that she could get her home). I do also think that two kids in, why wouldn't she try to make a relationship work with their father? But another big factor that I think many women fall trap to (and I think Landon is also looking like an example of this) is that there's a certain badge of honour and accomplishment to be the woman to tame a man who is known to run away from commitment. Forgot to mention originally, but despite how mean Cameron sometimes came across with shutting down talks or being around Katheryn, the ball was vindication of all that Cameron was saying. Katheryn is always the instigator of these loud, angry confrontations. It doesn't mean that Katheryn never has reason to be upset or offended by something but her method of conflict-resolution is understandably not something that everyone will agree with or enjoy being around as it's unfolding.
  16. http://perezhilton.com/2016-06-23-sunny-hostin-bethenny-frankel-the-view-fight Bethenny owns being a bitch but that's not exactly and admirable quality worthy of applause. Bethenny has zero etiquette and doesn't know boundaries unless it's the ones that she has created and holds everyone else accountable to. Please purchase a muzzle and get off your soap box.
  17. Katheryn is crazy but I don't think she's completely wrong of her assessment of Landon. Landon is ditzy and has relied on men all of her life. She may 'love' Shep but clearly she would be just as willing to settle for Thomas. She wants status and wealth that requires marriage...but of course she wants him to also be her best friend. While Katheryn has her mainly faults, I'm going to focus on Landon and my irritation with her because unlike Katheryn, Landon is a complete facade. Katheryn may change her stories, yell, look batshit crazy but she's being completely honest with her feelings and opinions in any given moment. If she didn't, she'd work a little harder to avoid the inconsistencies. Landon on the other hand is just as shady but tries to act so demure and classy while judging Katheryn every step of the way. She's never said anything about Katheryn? The tape alone proves that's a lie, forget about what she may have said outside of filming the show. She intentionally excluded Katheryn from Shep's party and lied every step of the way about it. She's been lying about hooking up with Thomas but will look Katheryn straight in the eyes and manipulate Katheryn's reputation to make it look like her accusations are crazy when they aren't. Let me take a moment to address Thomas - what an absolute moron. He's telling Landon and Katheryn two different things. Hasn't he known Katheryn long enough to know that she's not afraid to confront someone? Why would he think that he can openly engage with Landon and Katheryn not call either one of them out? Back to Landon, she's pathetic. She's lusting after Shep while she keeps Thomas in her back pocket. While I don't think Shep was absolutely clear with her about not returning her feelings, I think he was clear enough that she looked desperate and petty by becoming obviously upset at him bringing a date. While it seems like a real douche move for Shep to bring a friend of hers as a date, honestly, I think that Shep is just running out of candidates for these types of events. God forbid if he starts recycling dates then the girl might think that they're in a relationship and Shep may just have a heart attack at the mere thought. I loved the ending though - Shep's incredulous 'what?' in response to Landon's friend's admission - perfect way to end and set up the reunion, haha.
  18. Caught up with the episode last night. It was disappointing - not because there wasn't drama but because so much of it was given to the stupid dog wedding. Why do people do stuff like this? I love dogs and I thought it was ridiculous. This is how people need to be entertained in order to donate money that they think is for a good cause? I can get behind exposure for a good cause when they didn't really address the charity or anything. They just fawned over designer doggie dresses and pretty just wasted my time as a viewer. If I knew how much of time would be dedicated to Carole and her bridesmaid then I would have skipped this week. Ramona is crazy and even she thought it was ridiculous. I was more incredulous that they had a real wedding cake than I was that Ramona actually went up and cut the cake herself. Wouldn't it have been funny if it were a cake that was made of dog treats and she ate it? haha. I felt for Bethenny. The process of addressing any health concern is not a fun experience and it often makes your mind wander to the worse case scenarios. Being the parent to a young child would contribute even more to the stress and concern, I would imagine. I know Jules paid the woman to help her around the house but I was bit annoyed when she directed the woman to move the trays to the table and then turned her head as if she was preoccupied with someone else when she was doing nothing...while the barely English-speaking woman walked away looking incredibly confused. Would it have been so difficult to give her instructions while picking up a tray and walking over to the table to show her what you're asking her to do? It's not like you were so busy that you couldn't have done it yourself anyway. I don't come from that life so if I ever fell into wealth, I can't being the person that had people to answer my doors, or move dishes from my kitchen to the dining room table, lol.
  19. The main points that stuck out to me: -Luann was stunning (she's still beautiful now) but looking at the old footage, I don't think she had to try too much to get the attention of the people she wanted. -I thought her mother was so sweet that running back into a burning home, her most precious items were the photographs of her children. -Luann definitely had ideas of grandeur and she set her sights on making that a reality. While I would definitely say she's a social climber, I get the impression that the relationships that she made along the way have been genuine. She may have a criteria of man that she was looking for, but I don't think she saddled down with any one of her long term relationships for the sake of the riches and fanciness. I think she kept searching until she found men that she genuinely was attracted to and loved. Social climbing isn't necessarily used a flattering attribute but I'll at least give her credit for having real relationships in the process (only my opinion of course). -She has certainly lived an exciting and adventurous life. For all of the work that she put into having the lifestyle that she had (and still has), her curiosity and willingness to take risks take some credit for that as well. -Any woman that can be so candid about her life, even sharing details that she can be interpreted (or flat out obvious) that others can judge her negatively, that kind of woman has to have a lot of confidence in herself. Whether you like her for it or not. -I think most of the HW show good and bad attributes and given the nature of the show, you often get to see the bad attributes take centre stage - each season there has to be at least one that will be the target. I really like that they put together this show that shows a softer side of a HW (though the editing was odd).
  20. I'm so glad that TJ kicked them out. Tony and Camilla are awful drunks. What was more insulting in witnessing another stupid drunken fight between the two of them is being given yet another example of Camilla's lack of self-awareness. She put all of that on Tony when she behaved just as disgustingly as he did. I'm a woman, I'm not going to co-sign any person that's going to step to someone's face and mock someone to hit them. Being intentionally provoking isn't mitigated by someone actually calling you to task on all of your taunting. Every season she has at least one of these huge, crazy fights with someone and yet she leaves this season thinking it's only Tony that needs help. I thought the challenge was hilarious. Kudos to all of them for lasting so long. To go that long and not a single one fell asleep or fell off. Surprised no one complained about needing to use the bathroom, lol. I'll always have a soft spot for Jenna. Nany and Wes during the challenge was hilarious. Nate and Christina playing rock, paper, scissors and 'enjoying the show'...oh such rookies, lol. I guess with all of the contestants dropping like flies they needed to stretch out some episodes to meet their quota.
  21. I haven't watched the special but it seems that the varying opinions about Luann after the show are rooted in the opinions of Luann before the show. Seems like whatever it was that was showcased was a testament to both the good and bad qualities that people either love about her or dislike about her. I have yet to catch up on the actual RH episode but perhaps I'll check this special out as well if I can find it on rerun/link/etc.
  22. Surprisingly I like it. The length works really well for her. Last time I saw her with long hair it was like mid-back length. I was picturing extensions like Ramona's. She should consider changing it up time to time with this length and feathered look. It looks great on her.
  23. The Carole vs Aviva debate regarding the order of how things transpired seems to be influenced by how one takes the word of both women in their blogs/articles and anything else where they've addressed the behind the scenes precursor to BookGate. Carole said that Aviva asked her to vet a ghostwriter for her while Aviva says that the initial draft was completed and she was looking for other people to go from there with helping her. I've seen a number of occasions where Aviva lumped in ghostwriter with editor, advisor, etc. but the only suspect thing is that if it was Carole's use of the term 'ghostwriter' that offended Aviva, then I don't think that really works with my theory that Aviva is not sure of what the term truly means and simply uses it interchangeably with all the other publishing terms. Or maybe she was toying with the idea (or really did want a ghostwriter) but felt that Carole brought it up on camera as a way to diminish Aviva's role in the project than being actually interested in the process. I'd have to go back and watch the episodes to break down my interpretation of how the events unfolded but I'm all wrapped up in the current season to have any time to go back and do that, lol.
  24. This show loves pushing the boundaries of the implausible, lol. With the amount of money to support the technology and resources required to pull of this scheme of harassing the girls to find out Charlotte's killer, one would think that you might as well investigate the killer directly rather than spend it on people who you hope to tell you who the killer is. We obviously know that Mary Drake and the doctor are in on this but the show is back to foreshadowing Alison (AD, the mumbling in the hospital). Why would Emily think that the mumbling of a incoherent, drug induced woman is an admission of guilt is beyond me.
