Oliver to William in the present day? I don't know if they can cram him returning from school into the episode, but a phone call? I was assuming Oliver to Felicity since it's very close to what he said to her at the wedding and with her recent "dark" turn she might need reassurance but William makes sense too. -

Yeah, Dig's pretty much yearly realization that ARGUS is shady as fuck kind of makes me worry that he's taken too many blows to the head. -

I don't get how Olicity is soapy and therefore terrible but Oliver bouncing between sisters, Laurel having an evil twin and tons of not actual deaths somehow aren't. -

What I really don't get about disappearing Dig is that he really served no purpose in that scene. He had what may have been a guilty look on his face while watching them (and I'm guessing may have flown Felicity there) but he didn't actually interact with either of them so if they really wanted the artsy pan out shot they could have just cut Dig out entirely without it making any real difference. -
Me too. I think they were going for the poetic justice of Diaz being the new inmate 4587 and they also needed to be in Oliver's cell so Diaz could rip the picture but leaving the guy who has repeatedly expressed his desire/attempted to kill you, your wife and your child in the one cell in the entire prison that you absolutely know doesn't lock is just so stupid that it really hurt what should have been a badass Oliver victory scene.

The Count of Monte Cristo which Oliver had been reading since the premiere (where he also used it to throat-punch Brick)
-
Olicity are finally reunited and their love is so powerful it apparently makes people disappear. All things considered I'm okay with this episode.
-
I agree, the closest I came to thinking she was crossing was when she was willing to let Anatoly die and even then, while I love Anatoly, he's a mob boss who willingly joined Diaz in trying to destroy Oliver, his family and his city so I was mostly okay with it.

Possibly because she wasn't? They dated but Oliver has only had one fiancee and that was Felicity. -
I feel like FutureRoy should have gotten suspicious something was up the second he was told Felicity had started calling herself The Calculator. He knows how ridiculous she thought that codename was and shouldn't believe she'd ever call herself that even if he does for some reason accept that she turned dark.

I feel like the moral of this story is that if you trust Rene, you can pretty much count on him selling you out at the first opportunity. He has sold out Oliver twice and now Felicity, I wonder how long until he finds a way to sell out the new Green Arrow?
-
I liked this episode for the most part. I wish PodDiggle would go away and real, non-sucky Diggle would return (at this point, I'm mostly pretending the drug he got from Diaz last season somehow started f-ing up his brain months later) and Curtis and his f-ing birthday need to take several seats but Felicity and Laurel and Felicity and Anatoly were interesting and as much I liked Stanley and didn't want him to be shady, the reveal that he's at least not what he seems was well done.
-
So are Dig and Curtis friends now because they both excel at rewriting history to absolve themselves of all responsibility?
-
Shut up about your birthday, dickhead! Seriously, do they want us to hate Curtis?

I'm actually pretty sure they won't. Even if they have her still be hurt and angry about it, which they should but I doubt they will, protecting/fixing Oliver and Dig's friendship has always been so important to her that I can see burying her feelings rather than rocking the boat by telling Oliver that Dig was a useless, condescending jackass to her when she needed him most. I'm guessing it may eventually come out but it will probably be several episodes after I've destroyed my TV by throwing things at it during the nearly inevitable Oliver thanks Dig scene. -

Honestly, if Diaz is in the flashforwards, him possibly killing Felicity will be the least of my problems because my eyes will have rolled so far out of my head that I might need a vehicle to track them down. -
This episode was strange to me. I liked Oliver and Talia (minus Oliver apologizing for killing Ra's because...no) and, to my surprise and vague disturbance, I loved Felicity and Laurel but somehow the episode was very meh. Part of it was obviously Curtis and his impossible PhDs and selective/inventive memory with Diggle being reduced to being his cheerleader while someone tries to erase Oliver but it was more than that.

I can't make the 8 year thing make sense either. In addition to the "there's no way William wouldn't have heard" issue, had Roy been hanging out on Lian Yu for 8+ years? Because otherwise he should have heard about the death of one of his best friends/(ex?)girlfriend's sister-in-law. -
I think whoever writes the episode descriptions is on crack because Felicity demanding Watson help her translated to "Felicity gets an intriguing offer" and Curtis sitting in a van to "Diggle asks Curtis to go undercover for A.R.G.U.S."
-
Is one of Curtis' PhDs in revisionist history? Because literally nothing happened the way he seems to think it did.

Please don't be evil, Stanley, I'm really liking you and it'd be nice to see someone besides Felicity fully on Team Oliver. But is him recognizing Felicity from Oliver's picture suspicious? Oliver does/did stare at it a lot but it always seemed to be in cell where Stanley probably couldn't see it. -
At this point, I'm kind of hoping they are but so far they've been presented as being on Earth 1 (or at least not outawrdly presented as being on another Earth)

I understand the panic but if William didn't know she was dead, even supposing she really is, it doesn't seem like it happens in the near future so it would only really write EBR out of the flashforward. Plus, whatever happens she has to build Smoak Tech first which wouldn't happen instantly. -
I refuse to believe Felicity is dead in the future but why did Dinah say "Felicity Smoak is dead?" They were talking about Felicity so it's not like William and Roy were going to be confused and think she meant a different Felicity. I'm going to need the future to get a lot less dark soon. Why should I invest in these people if I know they're all going to be miserable or dead with their city fallen in 20 years? I was somewhat open-minded about the flashforward but this "nothing matters because it all goes to shit anyway" thing doesn't work for me.
