Wow, I must have zoned out while watching, I don't remember that at all!

Let's Go Mets! What an Amazin' Win! Now, sweep and eliminate the Braves from the postseason!

I'm glad to hear you are safe, @Mountainair Fortunately, we didn't have too much happen here in Charlotte, but from all I've seen, it's been devastating out your way.

Say hello to Winxx! Winxx is a 2-year-old blue merle Australian Shepherd. We brought her home last night. GF has a friend from the Australian Shepherd community who needed to 'thin the herd'. She has bred Aussies for years, has a large pack at home (they live on a farm near Raleigh, NC), well trained, multiple-champion winning dogs. She has been dealing with serious medical issues for several years and has finally realized she can't keep all the dogs while still caring for herself. We took a ride up yesterday afternoon, met several of her dogs (based on temperament), and Jake got to check them out. Winxx seemed to be the best fit. We're all working on getting to know one another - GF had to go in to work today, but I'm off today (and WFH anyway) so I'm playing Aussie Dad on my own. Breakfast was a bit of a challenge, but hopefully she gets adjusted to her new digs. Waiting on breakfast...

I didn't even have a bad guess for FJ; absolutely no clue.

Watching last night, during 'Teachers Week' and the puzzle was 'Can I sharpen my pencil' and we both said, 'I don't know, can you?'

I'll never believe Toby was the leak. My theory? His late brother's wife was the leak. He had said enough to his wife during his time in the shuttle program that she figured there was some secret shuttle out there and called a reporter. With her info, reporter was able to confirm other info he had gotten and published the story. Toby fell on his sword to protect his sister-in-law and his nieces/nephews.

Favorite Episode
Moose135 replied to CM-BlueButterfly's topic in The West Wing 25th Anniversary Forum
"In Excelsis Deo" is my favorite, for many reasons. Toby was always my favorite character, and as a veteran, the topic of homelessness among veterans gets to me. I'm usually an emotional mess watching this episode - my father was a WWII vet who passed 8 years ago, buried in a National Cemetary with the military honor guard and flag. I watched the episode shortly after that, and I was a mess by the end of it. Toby, if we start pulling strings like this, you don't think every homeless veteran will come out of the woodwork? I can only hope, sir. Kills me, every time. -

Toby was always my favorite - and no, he wasn't the leak! Leo is number two. -
How Did You Discover The West Wing?
Moose135 replied to CM-BlueButterfly's topic in The West Wing 25th Anniversary Forum
I was a fan of Sorkin's work back to A Few Good Men. Loved The American President and followed him to Sports Night. When I heard about The West Wing, I knew it would be a regular show to watch, and couldn't wait for the premiere. -
Wow, if that guy had smaller feet, Baltimore might have won that one!

Same here... I can only hope so, sir...

Media for Yellowstone: Y Times and Misdemeanors
Moose135 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Yellowstone
I'm done after the rest of S5 airs; I just don't care anymore. Beth and Rip are my least favorite characters, I wouldn't watch a show centered around them. -
GF (Baltimore native) and I went to see the Orioles play the Royals when we were in KC earlier this year. We ended up in a section of O's fans, and everyone around us (GF included) did it.

Media for Yellowstone: Y Times and Misdemeanors

I think it may be too late for that, even if his ego would allow it. They've been filming for a month or more, I think the wrap up to the season (and series) is written and being filmed. Probably too late to rewrite and maybe refilm large parts of it. -
Hannah Waddingham sang the UK national anthem during pre-race ceremonies at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix on Sunday, followed by a fly over by the RAF Red Arrows.

'The Wait Is Over' - No, we still have to wait another 5 months... -
A Case Of The Mondays: Vent Your Work Spleen Here
Moose135 replied to potatoradio's topic in Everything Else
I think it's just polite and professional (and it only takes 2 minutes) to send an e-mail thanking someone for their time after an interview. -
All this talk about baby names requires me to post this... Yes, this was a real commercial. I remember seeing it on TV a couple of times.

I absolutely love that! I still remember watching Straw's first game for the Mets as a young rookie called up all those years ago.

Thank you, Florida Panthers! Eliminated the Rags and head to the Stanley Cup Finals!

How many MLB games was he permitted to play?

Elsewhere, I read that they do have an interpreter, who was nearby when this happened. It is up to the player whether to use the interpreter or to speak directly with the reporter, the interpreter can't force the player to use him.
