  1. I know someone on another thread suggested that Chuck might be the "mole", sorry I don't remember which thread which person to credit. But last night Hannah listed everyone close to her who's been shot/killed and I thought that either Chuck is next to die or Chuck is employed by the organization working against the government/Kirkman. Who told Hannah that Dr Frost was a common link to the shrink tapes? Who has been the one who provides key clues for Hannah to pursue. Is he a wonderful IT guy, hacker, guru of some sort or is it something else? Are those looks of longing as he gazes at Hannah meant to mislead us? I'm not at all sure and I also suspect the brother, something off about him too. If this show gets a third season I think Dr Frost will be a love interest then so I think she's innocent, at least in this respect.
  2. I felt I was watching Keifer Sutherland looking at Michael J. Fox....not an actor playing the president waiting to deal with an adversary. It was a nice scene even though it may have not meant anything in particular to the show but to me it conveyed respect from one actor to another. Parkinsons's ---- a cruel disease. I wish your mother well SHAPESHIFTER.
  3. Considering the plot lines he's been given....which ones hasn't he peeved?
  4. Doubtful it would happen, I've heard that Roseanne and Chuck Lorre hate each other. I was hoping that David's new girlfriend would be named Penny....and that a surname would be given as well. Penny Smith. Penny Jones. Penny Robinson. Doesn't matter what the name was but would have been hilarious (to me anyway) that on the BBT no one knew Penny's maiden name but Roseanne revealed it.
  5. Unfair! If Trevor makes the live voting rounds -- NOT A SPOILER, I don't know -- voting for him would be a problem. I have no idea if he can sing, Katy's actions have completely overridden his performances. This is hard enough for the idol contestants without the judges making it about themselves.
  6. Made me sit up and take notice. Liked him very much.
  7. I'm hoping they get Bette Midler to play a relative of Amy's.
  8. I'm delighted it's already been renewed and hopefully they'll be able to bring Martin Mull back for the second new season.
  9. at least it was resolved...I hate it when an international crisis lasts goes on for more than a day trying again -- at least it was resolved...I hate it when an international crisis goes on for more than a day
  10. I always felt that John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf carried this series and were far superior to any of the others in the regular cast. Perhaps I let my fondness for the characters influence my perception of their acting abilities, I'm not sure about that at this point. I also think Martin Mull and Shelley Winters elevated the show whenever they appeared. Regarding the previews I've seen so far....it's very clear that they are all quite rusty and not entirely back into their characters, at least not yet.
  11. Random thoughts: Wouldn't a person being considered for VP need to be extensively vetted for the position? I think Kimble Hookstraten personified some of the criteria Kirkman listed for VP, she's a smarter choice (from what we know). Kiefer doesn't look as though he's invested anymore although perhaps I'm projecting. Some of the dialogue was just awful. Seth and Emily -- no, not seeing it at all. At least they gave Mike some lines this week. Lyor -- totally unnecessary, just an annoying character and not good enough for comic relief. I see this episode was entitled 'In The Dark'. They must have worked weeks to come up with that one.
  12. I think it's logical that they wanted Johnny to look very different from Leonard Hofstadter, perhaps that's the only reason behind his appearance in the clip we're seeing. As to him being the one with the addiction: yes -- possibly as a sad social commentary that his sitcom brother had addiction issues in real life, and yes for the reasons mentioned above no -- afaik Johnny is only making one appearance, unless it's just lip service to addiction problems I don't think they can show the effects in one episode although they could of course reference it when he isn't on screen It would be far more powerful for Roseanne to be the character with an addiction and although II can't quite convince myself that they will go there with her she's the obvious choice in my opinion. They could make it a cliff hanger thing for possible renewal. Addiction isn't the best sticom material but Roseanne has always been different and this is another example.
  13. at least two problems with the fart jokes -- first that they made these jokes at all and second that they were shown as they undoubtedly had plenty of audition tape to choose from
  14. Oh my, we are complete opposites on JLo as I hated everything about her and am delighted she is not on board this season. Although I have to admit I am curious how she would have reacted to the girl who sang in Spanish and "danced" on stage.
  15. @Annber03 -- thank you so much, I do remember that episode.
  16. Ok, a question from out of the blue, hoping someone can answer 'cause it's driving me nuts.....I'm recalling an episode where the three Connor children go out the front door off to school, each looks neat and is carrying a home-made lunch, they are all practically skipping out the door beaming and smiling like a happy sitcom family. That's all I have, it's at the end of an episode, I think. Does anyone remember what episode this was? THANKS!
  17. I knew when they showed both girls using a tool to level their cakes and Alex just eyeballing it that he was not going to be the winner, he lost it right then and there although he should have gotten extra credit for "leaning tower of cake". I wanted to try all of the cakes and make my own judgment. Frankly I see taste and texture as being far more important than appearance. I think they all succeeded but Linsey was the correct choice for winner. Do the runners up get anything at all? I think they deserved it.
  18. If ever there was an opportunity for a tv show's course correction this was it. And from where I sit they failed. Again. There was so much potential with the original premise of the show and I cannot understand why they couldn't capitalize on it, instead it's been all over the map. This week they had Keifer Sutherland and Timothy Busfield one on one, their conversation should have been riveting, but instead it was barely interesting. If they felt they needed to introduce a new character (the woman Lyor sent on a wild goose chase) why on earth did they take the time to do it on this episode? And, since people are wondering why they don't seem to have a VP let me suggest Timothy Busfield so they can officially merge 24 and the West Wing into one show. I can't see Designated Survival being renewed for season 3. Turns out Natasha McElnhone wasn't the problem after all.
  19. Ugh. So sad to see anyone miss out on the finale for this particular challenge. I've thought that Linsey would win for a long time now but Alex has come on strong in the last two weeks and they seem to like him. I really hope the final challenge is a baking challenge without a single surprise ingredient or twist. Probably too much to hope for. Actually I like a level playing field where the requirements are explained up front, no surprise changes, and each competitor does what he or she thinks best, similar to Chopped but without the twist of having only one ice cream machine or limited deep fryer access. I also prefer that everyone has the exact same ingredients to deal with, much easier to judge who did a better job.
  20. agree...TSA guy was fine, the rest were awful, I was rooting against them I thought I heard the pregnant contestant say she didn't read multiple pregnancy tests correctly. Did she really say that? I'm finding it hard to believe. I don't like that the questions are not equally difficult. Also don't like that sometimes the judges will accept any answer even remotely close and sometimes they won't. To me Chinese Food matches Chinese Food (only given as an answer once), and perhaps it would match pork fried rice, but not "rice", too generic an answer. And finally....did she really say she repeatedly misread the pregnancy tests?
  21. several random thoughts to add: The theme that Kirkland is the survivor left to pick up the pieces plays out again. I wouldn't want to be a member of his family, cabinet or friend, too risky. If they had to bring in an actress from 24 I would have vastly preferred Annie Wersching. Hannah deserves to be fired for stupidity and most likely violating a dozen FBI rules and protocol. If the mother had refused treatment for her daughter not only would the child die but presumably also the people holed up in the cabin in the woods. Having children roaming the halls of the White House was bizarre, I guess it was an attempt at humor but it failed from my perspective. Has Kirkland heard the message Alex left him on his phone? Wonder if they'll show that and milk it some more.
  22. As the accident played out I had a horrible thought that Mike was with Alex....THAT would have been a tragedy. I imagine the planning went this way "let's get Kiefer Sutherland". End of planning
  23. Count me one as extremely disappointed. I didn't enjoy the way Sandra Bernhard portrayed Nancy. Perhaps that's how she always acts but she didn't add a thing to the Roseanne show, in my opinion she wasn't needed then and she isn't needed now. And that brings me to Bev. Having a character as Roseanne and Jackie's mother made sense and it isn't the character so much that I object to -- it's the voice, that nails-on-a-chalkboard voice Estelle Parsons uses. I've learned to hit mute the moment I see her. I'm most likely in the minority on both these characters. On the other hand I would love to see Leon. Has there been an announcement regarding Martin Mull?
  24. I think it's time for a new show runner.
  25. I hope everyone noticed "What to expect when you're expecting Psych the movie"
