He may have a better looking physique, but his face leaves a lot to be desired whereas I think Nicole is cute/fairly attractive face (especially, I would guess, if she put more effort in her appearance, and I don't mean just slapping on 90lbs of makeup). I don't get how she finds him "hot" at all, but to each their own.

With stripper mom, it was kind of the pot calling the kettle, was it not, what with her multiple chins, yet calling her sister fat and jealous. She was not attractive in the face to start with and her personality just made her sluglier. That whole family was a train wreck, though. "Dad" and goose-necking fiance need to take several damn seats.

The extended trailer on ABC.com is hilarious! When one "perfect" housewife asks how she (Katie Mixon) got a pizza stain on the back of her sweater, she says she was either wearing it backward when she ate the pizza or she's wearing it backward now (glances to see if her tag is in the front)..."I'm wearing it backward now." LMAO sounds exactly like me and something I would do. I'd probably be more in the fit camp, but distracted/lazy fit camp, love it. :-)

Large parts of NC were also settled by Scottish. There's a town where the Scottish accent still prevails to this day, it's really fascinating.

Did not initially like this season, hence waiting until it just dropped on Netflix to watch (and still not thrilled about Hotel, overall), but this episode took the cake with Gaga's awful acting. I think it was episode 9 that saw me cringing over Peter's accent as he played March. Prior to that, I actually liked and respected the work it must entail to maintain that accent, but wtf episode 9? How many times did they film Gaga with the detectives before deciding it was passable as "good enough"?

wHAT!??? WHUT?? I have to go back and watch this episode, did she travel outside the country to meet him? The exploitable exploiting the exploited? OMG I missed about 13 minutes, or, apparently, everything... He is really in Alabama???!!!

I was LOVING her lip color. As has already been mentioned, WHY are they calling it a "catfish"? Total misappropriation.

Russia, though a country with beautiful people and gorgeous historic architecture, is a highly impoverished, garbage can of a country that reeks..literally singe the hair in your nose stinks. Public toilets are huge holes in the ground (women, yep, you straddle a two wooden footholds and do your business, yes, even in winter, it's closed off, yes, so not like standing out in the street, but it's not fully enclosed/heated, if it is, you're lucky! Even at decent hotels, you aren't able to use (excuse me, flush) toilet paper. It's been a good while since I've been, but I'm suspect that their major infrastructure has changed so drastically as to upgrade it to US first-world standards in too many places. In other words, Anfisa is most likely, most definitely lying, unless she was some Russian heiress, in which case, I don't think we'd be where we are with her endlessly entertaining us. Sounds like my ex, who allowed NO makeup and would literally yell if I brushed my hair after getting out of the shower before getting off my sorry, lazy ass to go run errands to get him whatever he wanted. She should run..FAST!

Maybe they could go prop up a tent..or even share the homestead...with the Alaskan Bush People folks.

Did you catch the in the preview clip for next week that Anfisa tries on a $45,000 wedding gown?! TLC also played the part about Anfisa musing how Jorge promised her whatever she wanted if she came.....good grief, ridic, ridic, ridic. Not sure, of course, if it's the one she ends up asking for (or getting), but WHAT?!

I thought it was positive he was addressing what would be on many people's minds, him being attracted to someone as large as Danielle (though I think her looks also work against her, I am an awful person for saying that, but she's no Mo'Nique or Missy Elliot or that Ashley model girl, I think that's her first name?) However, I also immediately wondered if he was being genuine. :/

I think he only looks like a busted Wayans brother. You are very generous. I do see similar facial features, sorta similar, a small resemblance, but he is just not attractive (I do think the Wayans brothers are handsome). Also, to the poster that asked if we're sure Asan is scamming, I have to admit, I've been asking myself that a lot lately, he doesn't come across like your "typical" "love rat", to coin the phrase, but, statistically, he probably is. :/

I don't see what's so hot to trot about Azan or Pedro. Azan is fit, but, well, he is not attractive in the face...neither is Pedro, I just can't even..nope, not hotties by any stretch, whatsoever.

And now, I see they are going to be airing a drama, as in, a real, honest-to-goodness scripted show, vs this "reality" scripted crapfestshow that's been passing for "learning and reality" for so long now.

I actually wondered if that was exactly the reason..and if perhaps, he felt it was more appealing to the pool of women he was fishing in to seem as "American" as possible? Pure speculation, I of course, don't know his reasons for it, it's just so jarring for my brain/ears. Thank you for the insight. :-)

While I found his cultural attire endearing, I thought it was far more telling that he wished her 1,000 blessings just for being there. That really touched my heart..and hurt it, that she didn't acknowledge it, even if, in her ignorance, didn't understand the significance. Were we all so lucky to receive such hospitality, especially given how she was dressed and came across.

Oh god, please don't look online for accounts of it, least you come across tales of her peeing/smelling like pee..and understand even more, why he wanted to ..NOT..with her.

Back in other posts...I think for one of the other two episodes, but I switch between threads so much, I can't be sure which one it was, some posters were saying they would applaud her basically knowingly, outright thumbing her nose at cultural customs when it comes to her dress and behavior and as much as I am for equal rights, I just can't get behind a mindset like that. At best, if you have that much issue with a localities customs, don't visit. At worst, understand the danger you could place others in...let alone yourself..and ask yourself if you'd like like to end up on an episode of "Locked Up Abroad" before being so ridiculous, not to mention disrespectful. Yes, I believe we all deserve equal rights. I also believe that "equal rights", as we understand them, are different than other places do and that covering one's self isn't the definition of "limited freedoms" (please don't feel I am defending or confusing other actions/behaviors to dominate women, I feel there can be a line, whether we agree with it or not, and simply expecting certain modes of dress and conduct, though of course tied to oppressive actions, isn't necessarily one and the same). I hope I managed to make some sense above. Basically, if you feel the need to thwart the culture you're visiting, go elsewhere or stay home. (And no, I don't feel freedom rights activists should have kept quiet, but yes, there is a time and a place and celebrating crude behavior never has a place).

My brain refuses to read his name as "George" and I always, mentally aloud, says, "Jorge". I really don't get this..has his family always said it this way and not how we are accustomed to thinking the Spanish pronunciation is? I fear to speculate because it seems like such a sensitive area to tread in.

How ridiculous, wouldn't want "helmet hair", though. /s Todd's disclosure about "manscaping" and discussion of wood in the 08/30/16 episode of his staged funeral was...well, Todd to the max. I used to gut-laugh through this series, not so much any more. It's about 85-90% less funny.
