  1. Welp, just read in the Mind Your Surroundings thread in the Arrow Forum that Laurel will be back for the finale. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. I don't watch Arrow anymore, so I was hoping i was through with her.
  2. Basically, yes. This is the second time he's done something like this. The first was in the old west episode when he was supposed to be saving Jonah Hex, but got so carried away with his superpowers that he literally left him swinging. Jonah would be dead if Sara wasn't such a good shot. I suppose the producers think he's charming, but to me he comes off as a self-centered dudebro slacker.
  3. I'm pretty sure they're going to get an earlier version of Snart, and just tell him he dies in the future, and the only way to save himself is to throw in with the Legion. He'll probably turn on them eventually over Mick, or because he figures Thawne isn't going to keep his promises, or something like that.
  4. Look at that sweet little kitty! Oh, and the orange cat he's holding. :)
  5. I've been worried about Arthur because Rip gets a lot of hate from certain quarters. They could easily have him sacrifice himself for the crew, or decide that he's so traumatized that he doesn't want to to on the Waverider anymore. On the flip side, they did give him time off for Broadchurch; and as he's proven in the last few episodes, he's a really good actor who can handle a wide range of material. Sigh, I just wish they'd ditch Nate.
  6. Or they haven't told him anything because they haven't decided who's staying for season 3. I know I'm just clutching straws, but I really don't like Nate. I wish they ditch him and bring in another female character.
  7. Evil!Rip was both sexy and efficient; making him a significant upgrade from from your typical flarrowverse villain.
  8. I've lived my entire life in the south, I went to school in the south in the 70s and 80s, and the only time I've ever heard that expression was from an actor sporting a cheesy accent on tv. I have heard "states rights" quite a bit, and have a pretty good understanding of what it's code for. As for the latest episode, it's no surprise that it lacked historical complexity. These are the flarrowverse writers we're talking about. If an episode makes sense, we should count it as a victory.
  9. The LoT episode was about slavery and confederate zombies. I don't think nuance would have fit in with the theme. Also, the southerners who talk about the "war of northern aggression" and states rights tend not to be the descendants of those who were enslaved.
  10. Damn, maybe they should have cast AD as Vandal Savage last season. He's a helluva lot more menacing than Caspar Crump. This Evil Rip story is awesome! Eobard doesn't even need the other two jokers with him around. I hope they save him at the end, and he doesn't have to die tragically to save the team or something cliched like that ( unless AD has another role lined up, because Peter Capaldi IS leaving Doctor Who, and I've long had this fantasy that the Doctor regenerates into a familiar face). Let me join the chorus of what an amazing gift Mick has turned out to be. Everything he touches turns to gold, and every character interaction he has just shines. I'm also with Lantern7 about Ray getting chased by a giant rat ala Talons. That was such a fun touch, and Mick gets a pet! The only sour note was Nate and Amaya getting it on while they were supposed to be rescuing Washington and Mick. That was unnecessary. Other than that, this was a fantastic episode. This show has been firing on all cylinders lately.
  11. I hope it's not true about having to wait til fall 2018 for series 11. We've already had to wait a year for s10. I don't know what the problem is, American tv can pop out a show with more episodes every year.
  12. There's a rumor going around that they've already cast a woman as the Doctor, and they're going to have a tv special to announce it, like they did with Peter Capaldi, in March. Take it with a grain of salt, it's just what I've heard. Also, Series 11 apparently won't air till autumn 2018.
  13. Hahahahahaha! I watched the pilot, and it was so, so terrible that this feels like justice.
  14. I think there was some truth to that Mirror article about the BBC wanting to clean house for the Chibnall era; and to make things more like the Tennant era (only without Tennant, as I imagine he's too expensive these days). So expect someone in their early to mid 30s for the Doctor, and the usual pretty, twenty something for the companion.
  15. Well, Eddie was kind of pressed for time. Eobard was in process of murdering Team Flash, and then there was the Singularity which was going to destroy the world. He was too stressed to realize that making an appointment to get snipped would have the same effect.
  16. That's not what buddy f'ing each other means. Although, with this group, both definitions could apply.
  17. From the moment Jerome transformed from innocent boy into full on Joker, CM has owned the character. Jared Leto should stop sending live rats to Margot Robbie and study his performance. He might learn something. Although, I've heard a rumor that MR being so creeped out by JL is why she pushed so hard for Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy's relationship, so good with the bad I guess.
  18. I knew they couldn't get NPH, but I was hoping they'd get someone with some range. DC has a very pleasant pop voice, but that's about it. And no, he absolutely can't do menacing.
  19. Since the article says they probably can't get NPH, my choice is Jonathan Groff. He's a fantastic singer, and I will always have a soft spot for Jesse St. James.
  20. I'm interested in what happens to Ray, but as for Nate? They need to stop trying to make fetch happen.
  21. I honestly thought this would be pretty stupid, but it turned out great. The Doctor accidentally giving Grant super powers was fun, as was his double life with the inevitable feisty reporter, Lucy. The aliens were appropriately evil, while at the same time being disposable. I'm surprised they didn't do more with Nardole. Why bring Matt Lucas back and give him such a minor role? The ending dealt with the passing of River Song, and the Doctor's sadness, but gave hope that he was healing and moving on. Also, that squeaky toy (Mr. Awful?) made me laugh and laugh. I've had a lot of trouble with Peter Capaldi's Doctor. The first time I really liked him was last year in the Husbands of River Song, but he was fantastic here, and that gives me hope for the upcoming season. Maybe the problem really was The Albatross, and now that he's free, I'll be able to enjoy Twelve.
  22. I think tonight's episode might be a special, or maybe they're showing all 6 episodes that have aired so far as an hour long marathon.
