OK...to counter the "Debra is hot" talk, there was the time that poor Debra couldn't attract any men in the grocery store when she went there ringless. Even Jimmy told her to leave him alone! I would consider this one of my favorite ELR moments...Patricia Heaton did the best facial expressions, especially when she smacked the one guy in the face as she was seductively trying to tear a plastic produce bag from the roll.

I have a very unpopular opinion about Summer-Kyle...and it's not that I like them together :) I honestly don't see the incest thing between them. They didn't grow up thinking they were related, and they did stay apart when it was "confirmed" that Jack was Summer's father. I don't think the time that it took to find out Jack wasn't her father would be enough for them to have a sibling vibe. IRL if I were in her place, no doubt about it I wouldn't go back to him, especially if I lived in GC where paternity has been known to change back, but as a soap goes I don't think it's so bad. Or maybe I've gotten used to The Bold and the Beautiful :)

I assumed it wasn't "normal" sleep, that she was more or less passed out or that her state of consciousness was "deeper" than sleep. For the record, I agree with what you said about Jane & I didn't feel bad either. Because she's 8 months pregnant? I didn't have a problem with Skyler not working (some men are into that traditional "I can provide for my own family" thing), and I understand she went back to work because of Walt's medical expenses, but it seems weird that she went back pretty much just as she was about to deliver.

Yes they did; I remember in the flashback where Ray proposes to Debra they all talk about how "hot" she is. In another flashback episode (when Ray delivered Debra a futon) Debra talked about the investment bankers and professional athletes she used to date, implying that's whose league she's in. There was the time in Italy where the men sitting on the Spanish Steps were telling her how beautiful she was. In that one where Ray took over the checkbook, Marie commented "I told you she was too pretty for him." The one with the old men in the lodge make me ill, but probably the worst was "PT&A," when Debra wore the mini skirt and low cut top when Ray lied that the PTA mothers said she dresses "trampy." At the end she threatens to take her top off, and Robert & Frank keep peeking in the front door like a couple of creepers. Maybe Robert talking about how hot Debra is in front of Amy is supposed to be a joke for the audience, but the Robert character certainly isn't joking. ETA: Thinking about Debra's looks reminded me of the Thanksgiving episode where Marie got glasses. Marie told Debra she has skimpy eyelashes, so Debra wears a lot of black eyeliner & mascara, prompting Ray to call her "the Thanksgiving Day hooker." Truth be told, I thought she looked really good with her eyes made up like that.

I'll have a seat at this table.

If she wants to be taken seriously, perhaps she could consider removing words like "skank," "ho," "scum" and "strumpet" (whatever the hell THAT is) from her vocabulary. Thanks a lot...you just made me exclaim "HA!" at work, risking my getting caught not working :)

I remember in a very early season Debra went to Ray's workplace to bring him lemon chicken (Ray was in a habit of having dinner at the office & Marie had read an article that said men who are unhappy in their marriages tend to do that), and when she gets there he's eating pizza watching Wheel of Fortune with the guys and of course not working. This is what prompted Debra to ask Ray to start working from home.

Whether Debra was right or wrong (I side with "wrong", but I'm the type who considers myself to be running late if I'm 15 minutes early), it was beyond ridiculous that she sat there all night with that stupid curling brush in her hair.
