  1. You see, these games networks play? This is why I watch everything online....
  2. This is the theory I'm operating under. And I think its going to make Andre act out and go all nuclear on everyone. I think Dynasty is much much better, maybe there is some trademark, copyright issue. I hope not, myself, and about 90% of America would look awful in that.
  3. Ludacris did a great job. Andre Royo was wonderful as black Saul! Happy to see Kelly Rowland, especially in an episode where they are discussing bringing together a new Destiny's Child. So very sad for Andre -- he isn't my favorite but I could really feel his pain. I also don't think he is going to react well to the idea of having a grandchild of Andre's and Rhonda (who he hates) I want to see how Andre is going to act out, because its coming. Didn't like Cookie's pant suit at all :( The thing with the judge was obvious, but you knew Lucius was going to get out at some point.
  4. 1. I know that its wrong in the real world to destroy someone else's stuff -- but the very arrogance of Jela and the twins in thinking that they could do that and somehow there wasn't a very real possibility of their stuff getting messed up makes me not all that upset that it happened to them. If you're gonna pull a stunt like that in the BGC, you should not have assumed that the other girls on the show were so in awe of you that they wouldn't mess up your stuff. Messing with personal belongings is a staple on the BGC. Things are always thrown in a pool, or out on the street or into the toilet or condiments are thrown on it. If you did that, and didn't lock up your stuff before you left thats partially your fault for thinking that you inspired such fear that people wouldn't touch your stuff. 2. I don't care how many scenes they shot of the girls cleaning the house, there is no way the show is getting their security deposit back. 3. Jasmine is so weak -- how can a girl that you've known for 20 minutes question your friendship so deeply 4. I can't help it -- I like Lauren. I always want to hate her but she is so corny and funny. That first dude she got with was ugly a/f. Sad for her that the second dude didn't work out 5. Two good looking guys in the house and these fools are fighting over some fight from weeks ago. 6. Why didn't Kat go out? Did she really want to stay in the house to listen to two other couples having sex? Weird 7. I thought it was cool that they aired the shout out to Chubs 8. Older new girl....the one with the black hair and all the tatts.....she must have been born under a lucky star because that guy was way out of her league. I guess he really wanted to be on TV.
  5. Or having the hero incorruptible cop would mean the city wouldn't rely solely upon Theo as their savior. He wants to be in control and in charge. And having two hero saviors, especially when you cant control the second one doesn't seem to be part of Theo's plan. But he may be looking for a situation where he saves the city from Jim. I don't know about breaking him, how much of a martyr would Jim really be at this point? He just got reinstated as detective after being assigned traffic duty and then fired. No one in the city stuck their neck out for him when he was demoted to traffic cop, nor did anyone stick their neck out when he was fired. And I'm not sure how much of a martyr a dead Jim would be given that it could easily come to light that he killed someone for Oswald so he could get back on the force. So it seems like, at this point Jim wouldn't have been any more of a martyr than any of the other police officers, or Essen who they had no problem killing. Since I don't think Jim would be much of a martyr I think it would have been much easier to kill him. But I don't know. He clearly has a plan for Jim that didn't involve him dying a quick death in a police station massacre, which is why Barbara had to lure him out.
  6. Man, Paula has that crackhead logic -- deny, deny, deny and make up stories that don't make any sort of sense. "Do I smoke crack? Never. Was that me you caught on tape buying crack? No way. You have my identification on tape after the UC officer asked for it? Someone must have stolen my ID. Is that my crack pipe in my vehicle? Not at all, clearly someone threw it in my car window when I wasn't looking.' "Did you steal the idea Countess brought to you, on camera and you turned around and presented a few weeks later?" "No, look, I have a piece of paper that says I wrote it before you told me about it, and I wrote it in 2012. But I've had the idea since 2008! But I thought it was a terrible idea when you said it." "Did we all contribute to the White Sisters project?" " No, I have this piece of paper that says I thought it up in 1998! I would never falsify a document, clearly if it a document I'm shaking around on a reality TV reunion says I own the concept I clearly do!"
  7. She is a total yogurt bitch and I bet she has a refrigerator full of disgusting Yoplait yogurts that her husband isn't allowed to look, touch, or think about while she gabs on the phone with her equally bitchy friend about watery disgusting Yoplait yogurts that don't taste like pie, or turnovers or anything other than watery crap. And just as an aside -- why would you automatically assume that girls want to play princess fairy with dad? It's 2015, can we show little girls playing something else every once in a while? And yes -- why is she so butthurt that he is playing with his daughters. I guess he should just ignore them and secretly hope for boys so he can be a man again. Oh wait -- now you can have frozen pizza delivered to your house that will do it for you. Because apparently playing with your little girls doesn't make you a man, but pizza will.
  8. 1. I'm not sure how time moves in Gotham, but people have a tendency to try to get "back to normal" even when they shouldn't. I could see a period of super stringent security measures for a little while and then they relax a little, and relax a little more, and people start to forget why there were ever in place. And cops cycle in and out, and the ones that were there for the bad incident last year are replaced by new guys that don't know so they don't see why everything is strict. 2. I also don't know how many entrances police stations have. If GCPD only has one entrance/exit its entirely possible they had security measures (metal detector, ID check) but only one that regular folks have to go through (you wouldn't want police officers to go through metal detectors because they would always set it off). Whoever was working the desk could have simply gotten a little relaxed with the ID checking procedure. It certainly happens. The TSA was formed out of one of a horrific terrorist act that was fairly recent. As I was leaving an airport the other day I LITERALLY saw a TSA agent sleeping at her post. On a chair....sleeping....full lights out. People just get lax with time, even when they do remember. 3. I'm not sure about other police departments -- but there are some things I can't imagine you plan for. You may have a plan to take down a single shooter, but to foresee or even plan for a gang of people to shoot up a department seems like a lot of emergency planning in a town that doesn't seem to have much of an emergency plan. Emergency plans tend to grow out of things that have actually happened at some point in time, they seem to be more reactionary than anything else. A number of places in California didn't really have an Earthquake plan until after the huge Northridge quake. In fact, I think it was after the Northridge quake that building earthquake safe buildings became a requirement. And California has about a billion fault lines! 4. I think Theo has a plan for Gordon. He specifically asked Barbara to "tell him about Gordon" and there doesn't seem to be a reason for that if he just planned to shoot him up in the middle of a police station. Theo also told Barbara that her "time" to be useful and integral to the plan was coming soon -- so to me it seems like he told Barbara to lure Jim out, but not to kill him. But to lure him out so he was sure to be safe because Theo has some plan for him. 5. The Maniax are all about maximum headlines and theatrics. They could have just killed 7 random street people that no one would miss and spray painted on them and then set them out in the middle of the night. They could have even lured 7 random street people up to the roof and killed them. But they chose the victims, the time of day, method and location for maximum theatrics and maximum headlines. 7 normal guys who just went to work that day, did nothing wrong in life and ended up killed in the scariest way possible. The same with the bus. Shooting up a bus full of cheerleaders is awful. But for maximum theatrics and maximum headlines and terror you can't beat setting a bus of cheerleaders on fire after you've handcuffed them to the seats. 6. I will always forgive that the federal government doesn't arrive and that no one leaves town. No one did in any of the movies, and I loved the first two. Thats where I allow my willing suspension of disbelief. In the first Batman you had some lunatic that was killing people with deodorant and killing people openly in the streets. He took over TV communications with a message that featured dead models. He gassed a museum full of people. And then he announced he was throwing a party and giving away some money and the entire town turned out. Not a solitary person called the national guard, the FBI, or even Proctor&Gamble to get a few cases of untainted deodorant sent over. 7. Theo is in the process of introducing the Maniax to the city and to the world. It seems likely Oswald was caught as much by surprise as everyone else. Theo doesn't seem to be part of the underworld that Oswald travels in, so he may not have even been on Oswald's radar.
  9. I've seen drinks with Chia seeds in them at Whole Foods, but they always looks so thick and gelatinous because the chia seeds are suspended in it. I was super tempted to spend like $4.00 on it, so I'm to know it could be gross. Between yours and Cobalt Stargazers post I actually have a good idea of what chia seeds are. But question, if flax seeds and chia seeds offer the benefit of fiber, why would anyone choose flax if it has more fat? Do flax seeds have something else?
  10. Don't play there is probably some Yoplait executive lurking who just got a bright idea for a new watery yogurt to bring to market. I haven't eaten a regular chip probably in about 5 years, but I'm so curious about what a Chicken and Waffle chip would taste like. I have had actual chicken and waffles and that is amazingly delicious -- but how can anyone capture that magic in a chip....its like trying to bottle up a rainbow! I still don't know what a flax seed is, and how it differs from a chia seed. I also don't know what a chia seed is. What is a flax seed? I remember when seeds only came in sunflower, pumpkin and sesame.....the good old days :)
  11. ghost pepper delight?!????? sweet baby jebus that sounds awful!
  12. How can these people not be a TLC spinoff by now???? Life is so unfair!!!!
  13. Late to the party -- Congratulations on getting your card! I really, really, really hope you are able to stick with your plan of going to college. You are clearly a very smart woman and I think education will open up so many doors for you.
  14. I like that this show gives a platform for social commentary. But you have to be a little more light handed, this show is supposed to be soapy and entertaining fun! The gorilla in the cage was a bridge too far.
  15. True, but this is Julie's first season, maybe she doesn't have the power to ask for all of that right now. She was a "friend of" the first season, and maybe she had been vying for the bigger paycheck of being a cast member and didn't want to make waves by asking to film there. And IIRC Mapperton is a little out of the way so the other women would probably balk at the idea of having to travel there a lot to shoot.
  16. LOL -- After I tried the Boston Creme Pie flavor I went to Boston and refused to eat actual Boston Creme Pie because I assumed it was disgusting.
  17. At this point I think "The White Sisters" is an urban legend like Bigfoot or something. I don't believe it exists until I get pictures that haven't been Photoshopped.
  18. Well, they are generally strippers or "models" so I'm sure they can quit on a moment's notice. I can't imagine anyone with a really real job coming on this show.....how would you ever go back?
  19. I believe Annabelle comes from nobility/aristocracy as well. She knew Luke (Julie's husband, not the makeup artist) from back in the day....rich titled people stuff. I think its also why she felt so bad that she had some educational disabilities, because apparently its an offense to the nobility if someone has dyslexia or something. So, I think if Juliet had stayed close Annabelle may have been a way in too. Maybe not as good as Caroline S. because I think Annabelle may be more like Caroline F. where she doesn't really care. But you know.....heir and the spare mentality. Is Juliet still a stylist? I know, when I read any Jane Austen book Mapperton will be all I see :) I think it would be so hard to make a really good profit from any country estate. I think that's why there was that phenomenon of titled, but poor British men marrying rich American women. So the American could infuse capital into the estate, and in exchange get the classiness of the title. Because the estates themselves take a lot of money to maintain. And from what I remember there were quite a few people doing the same with their country estates. I loved them all, but after the 4th or 5th I've had enough and I want to find where the nearest tea is!
  20. I'm already calling it. I'm gonna hate that guy the most, and nothing he says is going to convince me that he is nothing more than a disgusting old man. unless he has been setting the world on fire and has money to burn or some powerful position I don't see a 58 year old man being able to pull in a 30 year old either. I'm over 30 and I wouldn't want to date a man in their mid-50's....even a successful one at that point. And you know guys like this don't just want a normal looking, nice woman in their age range. They feel like they deserve the best looking woman who doesn't have an ounce of fat, and lives to cook and clean for him every day, and doesn't want to educate herself or get out of the house. Although, HIS looks shouldn't matter to her, nor should his AGE, nor should the fact that he doesn't have much going on in life. She should have no standards, but he should have all the standards.
  21. I can't imagine Season 3 being able to live up to Season 2. You had so many certifiable loons....and I mean that in the kindest way possible. That crazy guy who sold crap on Ebay and lived with his dad, and his fiance who dressed like the town hooker. Mo and Dani. I mean those two couples made Brett and his passive aggressive manipulations look positively saint like and normal by comparison. Amy and Danny were sweet, and I sort of stopped caring about the girl from Brazil and the guy whose family all thought she was looking for a payday. I do think that Devan may end up having a past. Sadly, I think Melanie is a bit of a butterface. She isn't awful, but I know he has had better tail thrown his way so there is something going on there. And how gross and cliche is the big age gap story. Nothing is going to make me okay with the idea of some old hornytoad taking advantage of a poor country to get some girl over here to be his trophy wife. I don't know, I hope its as good as Season 2, but I feel like that is just asking for too much. Nothing could be as good as season 2
  22. Yeah, how many women got their groove back from him?
  23. I know -- I've never seen anyone try so hard, so fast except on Love and Hip Hop shows.
  24. You can't copyright ideas. You can only really copyright how you put together ideas and organize them or the actual written product. You may be able to copyright a character, but its VERY, VERY difficult - generally graphic characters because there is a physical representation of them making them more than an idea. So, as crazy as it sounds I think Paula is right. I think that Forest owns the script.
  25. True -- it is shameful that they were completely ignored by the Golden Globes and the Academy, but I feel like they were in the running for a few Razzies. But I know when I think of heartwrenchingly dramatic performances I always think of Denzel in Glory, Whoppi in The Color Purple, and B2K in You Got Served..... It really did feel like I was invading someone's personal and very awkward moment of trying to be sexy. It was horrible, just horrible. The camera man should get hazard pay because he has to have some low level PTSD after recording that.
