  1. Yes! Isn't that always what poor titled people used to do? Marry a rich American. I know I wasn't the only one who knew that was a thing. But -- a title isn't what it once was, and Luke.....well, it sounds like Luke may not be catnip for the ladies. I think Julie got bamboozled, she said when she met him he pulled out a Black Amex and so she may have gotten the wrong idea....
  2. Oh yes -- I felt like the professors were sort of obligated to pick students who weren't doing very well to brief cases. Embarrassing them when they asked to "pass" was their way of putting the rest of the slackers on notice that they better do the reading. The most confusing and comical briefs were the ones done by students who were trying to read from a case brief they just pulled up online. Sometimes it would be an earlier version of a case and you would be sitting there like "really? I do not think thats what this case is about!" Or they would have really, really long pauses as the professor asked a question because they were scrolling around the Wikipedia page trying to find the answer. Good times, good times.
  3. I just don't understand why Julie seems to be the only one that has to actually take a job to save this rambling estate? IIRC her in-laws are there full time to "manage" it, and now so is her husband. So there are three people that are "managing the estate" but the only one working to make money to maintain the estate is the one who teaches yoga and makes balls. Oh and by way, its not even her family home! Why is she the only one that can get a job to save a home that isn't even connected to her family?
  4. Julie just doesn't have that image of glamour that Caroline S or Annabelle have. Although Julie is in the perfect situation to have a constant male companion on the show since her husband and his father and his mother ALL need to be at Mapperton all day every day or the place will fall apart. But I'm hoping someone just offers out of the kindness of their heart. Or her in-laws are kind enough to allow her to keep enough of her earnings to afford a decent cut and style. I always just wondered if there wasn't a part of Annabelle that wasn't simply uncomfortable with the idea of reality TV and sharing so much of who she is with the camera. Maybe I'm a softie, but I felt really bad for her when she was explaining her chlidrens books.
  5. I feel like when Gregor met Juliet he found her high strung, obnoxious nature amusing, refreshing and "honest." Fast Forward a couple of years and its probably getting old having her constantly getting in fights with people and being loud, screechy and whiny all in the name of "keeping it real." I wonder how much he begged to get the job that required constant travel so he could escape her shenanigans? I can envision him staying away much longer than he needs to and telling her its "absolutely required" for work. I don't even think he is cheating per se, I just think he enjoys the peace and quiet of being away from her near constant whining. LMAO @ the bolded portion though!
  6. I tried so hard to forget that sexy awkwardness at the studio. I was like "man, can we please cut to commercial Mona?" I agree that P/S can be Nikki, but Apryl did have that "manicure day" with Princess/Tierra. However, it was Nikki that invited Nia to Nas's bootcamp so yeah you could have it right!
  7. This had better not turn out to be some "I'm not working a real gig cause I have a side piece" story -- cause I can book a flight to London in a minute too :) Poor girl, I almost feel like she was bamboozled into the marriage.
  8. I agree about Julie not looking particularly healthy -- but I feel like some of that has to be that hair.
  9. I want Kenya's jumpsuit and then I would like Kenya's body :) She always looks great. Why Kim, why that dress, why those shoes, why that hair, just why. And why is Phaedra wearing that retirement community beauty shop wig?
  10. They did, but real or imagined reconciliations has never stopped Mona before ;)
  11. I'm giving side eye because I remember his mother and father also being there at Mapperton. How many of them need to be there to run the estate? Can anyone besides Julie have a real job? And why must she have a job and work on selling balls and take care of the children? Is no one else interested in the dismal financial state that they are ALL in? Why can't leverage his title for a good paying, do nothing job at some financial firm that wants access to aristocracy? I just think its unfair that EVERYTHING falls on her shoulders. Does managing Mapperton mean he can never leave it to at least give her some time to take a break?
  12. Or, she can just be the pot stirrer, messy story teller....they seem to be going that route with her this season. Karlie Redd brings a certain charm to the role that Im not sure Apryl can pull off. Where did Grandma Omarion go????
  13. I remember going to my brothers homecoming from his first tour overseas. We spied a heavyset wife in the bleachers frenetically shaving her mustache with a BIC razor while her mother held a mirror. A lid for every pot.
  14. I sincerely hope no one is really trying to make that happen. He looked stupid.
  15. Cat is just a one upper. "Are you talking about France? I lived in france, my family lived in france, my grandfather was napoleans right hand and is the second guy on the left in the arc. My great, great, great grandmother did Marie Antoniette's hair and was her best friend. Did I tell you about that time I climbed to the top of the Eiffel Tower when I was 5?" "Are you talking about how your background can help you in this job? My father worked for the president. My great, great great grandmother was Dolly Madison's best friend. I grew up around dignitaries and diplomats. I'm comfortable around the upper eschelon of society because thats all I deal with. I styled Justin Bieber, I styled everyone famous. Also, I have a place in New York and a place in LA because I'm just so privileged. I mean, that pretty much beats your background, right?"
  16. Julie is an easy target for Caroline because, like you say, she is so sweet tempered and good natured (or at least she plays it well on TV). And I think Caroline is maybe the tiniest bit jealous that Julie has a title and she doesn't. Caroline has a great life, but sometimes super driven people can only think about the things they don't have, not all the great things they do have. I feel really bad for Julie -- whatever she is making on this show can't even be putting a dent in the amount it takes to upkeep Mapperton. And I can not fathom how these balls are going to bring in over 200k a year in pure profit....or yoga. The poor woman looks like she hasn't had her hair touched by a professional in years. I imagine that there is someone out there who just wants the pedigree of having a royal working at their company and would pay big bucks for it. His Rolodex alone has to be worth something even if he didn't do any real work. And don't his parents live there? How many people do you need to care for the estate? Does anyone in that family besides Julie have a real job? And never mind that while he is "taking care of the estate" she is working with the yoga, doing the balls and caring for 4 kids! Madness!
  17. Oh you're right, first season on LHHATL Kirk was an absolute pussy cat. Almost too weak willed, but thanks to Mona and her "ideals" he mysteriously changed from a rock solid, almost subservient husband to a cheating jackass. Their storyline is about as real and natural as Twinkies. Although to his credit Omarion only had one child....with his wife and I can't think of any straight man on LHHATL that doesn't have like 8-10 children by different women. I don't count Nikko, because I think Nikko is on the DL. For Omarions sake, I hope he can cut another hit album or two so when Mona starts demanding he cheat on Apryl he can tell her to go kick rocks :)
  18. I totally agree. I think this was all done so he could stay on the show. But he isn't that good an actor. I do believe that he gave Kamiah (sp) the impression that things were getting serious. Because he is that kind of a guy, he wants a woman in his life, a woman that is good around his son and that will be loyal to him. And what kind of serious player truly refers to women as "appetizers?" A real player doesn't let you know he is playing you by calling you an appetizer....that does not sound like a player move to me. I think the show came to him and they wanted to do a different storyline and so we're stuck with "Playa Fizz" because apparently this franchise cannot have one man that treats women decent except Omarion. And I'm sure they are only allowing that because he has that big hit song out now.
  19. I don't know if Julie is a vegetarian, she didn't seem to have a problem eating meat during their dinner at the estate last year. I think Julie should eat more though -- she is at lunch ordering a salad with a side of kale. Who does that and why? Unless you just came from eating, but it looked like they were all meeting for lunch. I like Julie too -- and I think that they should consider selling Mapperton. Someone would likely buy the home and work with the government to keep it up as a tourist site. Not only would they get money, but they would save considerable money. The upkeep on those old estates has to be very heavy, and if you don't have the money to do it I'm sure it falls into disrepair quickly. Her husband should be using his title to get some sort of high paying job (I'm sure you can still use a title to get a good job, even if you don't really deserve it). They can afford a decent sized house, she can keep her title and hire some staff. But it just ruins the entire image of royalty if you really live in a cramped flat and you're trying to sell your balls to raise money. Caroline is at her most unlikable when she is snarking on someone like Julie, IMO. Its no fun when you're watching someone snark on someone who is weak, won't fight back and is crying. It makes Caroline just look mean even though she doesn't mean to be.
  20. I find it hard to take him seriously just looking at him. He just looks like the little dork in the 80's movies that tries to dress up "cool" and act like a player. He clearly wants to have a girlfriend and settle down and I wish it wasn't so taboo for him to just go with that.
  21. Cat is a classic "one-upper," whatever the conversation is about, whatever the subject is, whatever anyone is discussing she has a story or a way to "one up" everyone in the conversation. Busy talking about France? Well, Cat lived in France, for like 7 years, and her great great grandfather has his picture in the Arc d'Triomph, and she once climbed the Eiffel Tower all by herself. Busy talking about how your background prepares you for the job? Well, Cat has styled all the famous people you've ever heard of and she grew up around diplomats and dignitaries so she knows all about the high life.
  22. But what makes it all interesting to me is this is exactly how Juliet behaves when someone else calls her out for something. I don't think she ever said sorry to Marissa and she tried all sorts of ways to deflect, argue it wasn't a big deal and guilt Marissa over it. It can't be fun for Juliet to get a taste of her own medicine, but I find it entertaining.
  23. LMAO @ Lil' Fizz. He is really acting like a middle schooler though, right? When I see him all I can think is "too cool for school!" I couldn't even watch when he and Nikki were sharing that piece of candy, it looked laughably bad. Maybe he just discovered his dick cause its soooooo small and never gets excited. I wonder if Whitney Houston actually knew she was her godmother. She might have some little person genes somewhere in the family tree :)
