I'm confused by the premise as well. Although I don't think he uploads his whatever into Nora since she greets him.

S01.E07: Put That On Your Plate!

The content was definitely mean girl, but it was the delivery that grated even more. It's a small sample I saw, but she was speaking all over herself. Not much sense of timing. -

S01.E07: Put That On Your Plate!

Reading the comparisons between Midge and Joan Rivers made me look for some of her stuff up on Youtube. Maybe I just chose the wrong clips, but I wasn't impressed. I found myself wishing that she had a Susie to tell her to wait out the laughs or whatever exact wording was used. She just kind of went to the next joke before even finishing the one she was telling. I don't knokw if Joel's mother was exaggerating, but she did mention about how rarely she saw the kids even before she knew about the split. And Moishe commented about the family not being at the temple. So it seems like they didn't see the kids that much before either. Why that is remains to be explained. -
... you read something about casino workers being harrassed and your train of thought takes you to 1) poor Donna who must have had something like this happen, and 2) I wonder if baby Felicity ever used her loud voice. Back away from my mom!

Speaking of fics, I just ran across this coffee shop AU from a few months ago, In Search of Caffeination by somewhereelse. Maybe everyone else has already read it, but I missed it. It's cute and does a great job of incorporating side characters without them overwhelming the piece. Though I am chomping at the bits to know what role Dig plays in their lives from one short mention in the graphics. While on the topics, the graphics are really great. Not least of all the Snapchat shot of Barry trying to make a Starbucks coffee run incognito. Plus, I loved some themes from the show popping up in a different context, like the staff calling Oliver's coffee shop by a different name which exasperates him. I had very welcom flash backs to, Team Arrow. [grinds teeth] We don't call it that. And it's really hilarious. Cases in point:

Nice. See, this is the type of S2 fic I can get into, just another outsider perspective at where they were then and how they came off to others. It's those where they actually get together in S2 that aren't satisfying to me. Man, I hope one of the remainding four chapters is Moira's.

Excellent choices, @KenyaJ. I still haven't posted my list, because I feel like I have more than one favorite episode per season, but yours are definite and immediate highlights.

Aside fromFelicity’s refusal (and I’m really not hung up on that in the slightest) that proposal was everything that I wanted back in season 4. I love it without reservation.

S01.E08: Thank You and Good Night

I'll be the voice of disconsent here and say I'm happy about the news that the show will be focusing on the parents as well. Joel not so much. I also see him as a Christopher and the original never appealed much to me. I love Midge and Susie, but I'm not sure they're enough to sustain the show, and Abe and Rose work really well for me. In fact, I think it works to have them more involved from the start unlike GG. I gather the second bedroom went to Midge's brother, who was both a boy and older, and Midge got what was originally the maid's room. The parents never changed that one so she's back in it, and the kids are in what used to be Noah's room. If anyone could do it, it's Midge I-measure-my-proportionate-ancles-and-calves-daily Maisel. -
Of course she'd be to blame either way.

That looks like old gold to me. Nice but not what you're looking for. I'd pass if I were you.

To answer @catrox14's question from social media, the defrauding bit refers to Felicity using the money from the start up's investors to post Oliver's bail this season.
-
True, it's not out of the realm of possibility for Felicity to act on her own, I just don't buy it would be like this.
-
If that were the case, I’d think Felicity was in the right, just like I think Oliver is for insisting on it.
-
Who recommended The Marvelous Mrs Maisel? @BkWurm1, was it you? I'm on episode 3 and I'm really liking it. It's very clearly from the same mind as Gilmore Girls but I think I may like it better. I don't know whether it's because of the lack of too much pop culture references or that the parents are much more involved from the get go. I love Midge and Susie but the parents almost steal the show. Joel reads very much like Christopher to me, as in you deserve better, Midge (Lorelai).

It means two. More than that is a few.

This AU by somewhereelse is pretty cute, with Dig as POTUS (yes) and the assortd cast as his White House staff betting on when Secret Service agent Oliver and tecnical advisor Felicity will finally get their heads out their butts. http://archiveofourown.org/works/13132602/chapters/30040788 It’s light and fun, I enjoyed the supporting characters’ text exchanges, and Oliver completely won me over with his frankness with Thea in chapter 2.

Valiant effort at a game face. He still looks like he’s trying not to puke.

I haven’t watched them in a good long while, but if memory serves, the Thin Man movies did really well at this. I can’t even remember sexism.

I think they mean Joe Magianello, not Joe the character. ?
