  1. What an awful video. These two are terrible actors. I feel badly for them for being so brainwashed.
  2. Why is Jeremy still in "school"? Isn't a Masters Program one year? I believe this guy is a professional student. I often wonder what exactly are they living off of financially? It costs a pretty penny to live in CA.
  3. My boys went for their first dental visit when their first tooth appeared. My dentist told me to bring them in so he could get them used to being there; just looked inside, wanted to get the boys comfortable with this. He didn't charge me for these appointments. When they were 3, then they were "official" patients. He was a good dentist in Winter Park, FL.
  4. I also thought that Jessa's son looked like Anna's dad; Pa Kellar.
  5. I agree about the skin tight "maternity" wear. I think it looks awful. Clothing should fit no matter the situation. It's not modest in any way IMO and with these people advertising "modest" I wonder what Gil and Kelly think of their daughters and daughters-in-law who have worn such clothing?
  6. I think Joy's children are all Forsyth. I don't see any "Duggar" genes in them.
  7. Not commenting about Jana not being married at all...I am sorry for her about the circumstances in which she lives. She is still under her father's authority as if she were a 13 year old. Jill said on that recent podcast that adult children are treated as if they were perpetual teenagers. This woman has no real education, no job skills or experience. Playing around with your parents' bedroom "decorating" it is not work experience...neither is gardening in your own back yard, etc. If she doesn't want to be married, that hopefully is her choice.
  8. Does anyone find it strange that there has been no mention yet about Jana's birthday?..oh yes, and John David's too. I think they turned 34. So sad for Jana.
  9. Isn't Christmas supposed to be about the birth of Jesus and not His death? I think Ben is a pessimistic person in general. Those kids did not need a religious sermon at that time. Just let them enjoy their gifts. They already know the story....but this is just my opinion. I don't like how Jessa has to orchestrate everything for videos. Those children couldn't even enjoy opening their gifts without having to have a director.
  10. Instead of that fecal chair and the other crap on the wall above it, Dave should have built a bathroom closet with a door. Most of Jill's beauty tools would have fit in it and they would have been stored out of site. This bathroom is an unsanitary disaster IMO. The suggestion of hanging mirrored medicine cabinets rather than wall mirrors without any storage in them is a great idea also.
  11. I also watched this video. How sad it was. Offering Dollar Store prizes for keeping your room neat and making your bed? I think those awful stacked beds that Alyssa had made for the girls makes it rather difficult and annoying for them to make up. I know it would kill my back to try and make those beds at all. I also noticed another thing...whan Alyssa was "forcing" her children to pick one thing they loved at the co-op school, Alyssa's voice dropped to an annoyed voice when she asked Allie what she liked the best. No enthusiasm with Allie at all from her mother. Those girls all love going to "school" so much it's a shame that they are not enrolled in a real school, public OR private of sorts. Their mother would get so much done very day with the girls at school.
  12. I agree that Jill's "like", "yeah" and "whatever" was difficult to listen to. She talked over Derick way too many times and just interrupted him as if she was guarded in what he said. It seemed to me that she was deflecting what Derick wanted to say about Jim Bob. I think he wanted to stick it to him with the finances of the company and say way more than Jill "allowed" him to. Jill needs to improve on her speaking skills. (Just my opinion after listening to her.)
  13. WACB reported on this video and I watched her report on it. It seems that Derick has made some pretty strong statements indicating that JB would be very lucky if he wasn't audited by the IRS for his bookkeeping and tax returns regarding the childrens' incomes for the TV show. Derick states some pretty serious things. This is worth a listen. I will listen to it in it's entirety also. Thank you, auntieminem for the link.
  14. Italian here: cheddar cheese on manicotti is vile. It's grated pecorino romano or parmigiano and mozzarella that go on manicotti. Another note by me is: Jill's sauce was way too orange. I wonder which brand jarred sauce she uses? Must be the cheapest one. What is that smeared on the manicotti? At first I thought it might be ricotta cheese... I hope it is.
  15. I wonder if these kids will be homeschooled? Does Abbie still work at that hospital that Joy recently delivered in as a labor unit nurse?
  16. I looked up Nathan's church in Seville, FL. The site said "Permanently Closed". What's up? Is it closed? If so, what church is he pastor of?
  17. Jim Bob was never going to be homeschooled. His sister went to public school all the way through. Not sure when Jim Bob entered that Christian school but it was a real school. Perhaps he started out in public school and that would have been a real education also. I don't think JL had any home schooling thoughts about either of his children. Besides, Mary worked a regular job or jobs throughout her life so she could not home school her kids.
  18. I think Jim Bob was full of it when he said that he left the number of children up to Michelle...if she had said 'no more', what would they have done? Birth control of any kind was not allowed, so the only other option was going to be for him to sleep in another room and we know that would have never happened. So, how would they have not had any more children? Just another misleading statement from him in my opinion.
  19. Walking around is shoes that are just too big is not good for your feet in general. Children need shoes that fit properly. How could a "professional mother" like Alyssa not know this?
  20. Is Kendra's mother expecting another one? Is this photo from last summer?
  21. I watched this video also and I noticed the poorer treatment Allie received too. I can't understand why this is. It is so sad for this girl. Alyssa mentioned that she bought sneakers that don't fit right now; they were sizes larger. Who gives their children cheap sneakers that don't readily fit for Christmas? A little "room to grow" is acceptable but these were clearly too large for the girls. I thought those gifts were cheap Dollar Store items too. I agree with all of the opinions posted here about this video. Alyssa clearly spends way too much on herself all year long. I wonder how much $$ that new car cost? I guess Alyssa doesn't remember the broken down/no air conditioning vehicle that her parents drove for years...Lawson, in one of his videos, mentioned this vehicle and described it as such. These parents need to notice Allie and not as a housemaid.
  22. Jonathan looks like a man who is in his late 50s and in poor health according to that photo. ( I hope this comment is acceptable as I am not shaming the guy; just noting that this is a bad picture of him and he doesn't look like he's a young healthy man in his 20s.) Hope all is ok for him. Is it just me who sees this?
  23. From what I remember, it was JB's grandfather who started their real estate business so JB was 3rd generation in that. Yes, handed to him.
  24. I would not give JB credit for being on call 24/7 with the tow truck as something great or heroic. Many people in different professions/trades are on call 24/7. My husband who worked for hospitals in a non clinical position was on call 24/7 also. He was called out in the middle of the night, in the rain, thunder and lightning and sometimes had to go on the hospital roof for the repair(s) needed at 3am awakened from a sound sleep. Back to JB, I also don't remember that he did all of those businesses/jobs at one time; these were over the years Yes, he wasn't lazy but he had no choice as his family was already living, IMO, on the brink of poverty in their standard of living. The man had saved $200K those years ago. I wonder with inflation, what the value of that sum would be today? I also heard that his mother gave him that money to run for office.....the he didn't save it himself. Does anyone know what actually is the truth here?
