  1. This, a million times!
  2. Fun read as always, but I must respond to the part about Frankie Jr. not having to work past 4 as an investment banker because that’s when the market closes. Two of my cousins and one nephew are investment bankers, and they work long, long hours . The cousins are married dads whose families grudgingly get it, but my nephew is only in his 3rd year out of college and his friends still like to hang out sometimes after work and on weekends. He can’t join them, he literally works till 10-11 most nights and works most Saturdays. It’s also very hard to date when you’re never available. It’s a very lucrative job but the hours are insane. Brokers are the ones who deal with the market which closes at four, investment bankers are dealing with issues and clients worldwide at all hours
  3. I’m a survivor as well, but three times is rough, I give you credit bc I’m sure it wasn’t easy. That is not pity, just acknowledging the difficulty. I get a little wriggly myself when people start praising my “courage” and my “fight” and my “will” as though those who didn’t make it didn’t want it as much. That said, I don’t believe Ethan was looking for pity either, nor for special treatment. Just saying that he said how great it was to be there and it made him feel like he was truly alive, this is what his dream was. And that’s why I was disappointed he got voted off so soon. Yes, probably everyone there has a heartbreaking story if you scratch deep enough, but Ethan's is well known and for me it touches close to home i wish you continued good health.
  4. Exactly what I meant, thank you @tracyscott76! Ethan said this on the first episode. It’s not a pity party. It’s hearing what he said and understanding exactly what he meant. Unless you’re a survivor you might not get it. No need to roll your eyes though
  5. Well of course getting married is vital and heartwarming and great to be happy and in love and have a life partner! But I was speaking in the sense of physicality, vitality and competitiveness, as he was saying in the first episode, that being back on survivor is really living...
  6. I’m so over Rob and Parvati but had to root for Blue Team because my man Ethan was on it. I hate to see him go and I hope he gets back on the island, but with the sharp way Natalie is playing it doesn’t seem likely. My heart breaks for Ethan, this meant more to him than for the rest of them put together because it made him feel like he was back in the land of the living. That’s huge. The rest are only playing for money and glory. Sucks that he is gone, but it made me happy about Edge of Extinction for the first time ever. Rooting for the Red Team now
  7. Reddit has two threads, an episode discussion and a critique thread. All the looks are on the critique thread, you just have to click on the designer’s name
  8. I agree with every word of your well thought-out comment! Especially regarding Sergio’s styling. Even if you accept the concept that if others did something no one else can ever do it again, well then, either McQueen or Galliano (I don’t know which) did it first therefore the other wouldn’t have been allowed to. Why is it ok for two designers but not three to have the same makeup and styling? It went along with Sergio’s concept. I thought that was just silly, because his design was spectacular and that’s what we’re here for. I only hope the model wasn’t troubled personally by it and understood it was meant to be an hommage.
  9. Thoughts on this supremely important topic: 1. I think he is hot but would like to see him without the beard to get a better idea 2. I hope Kyle didn’t hear you! She is not going to want to give up Mauricio’s title anytime soon 3. Harry Hamlin not looking like he used to (who does?) but I still find him attractive. Not insanely hot but still attractive. 4. I’m sorry we never got to see RHOC Gina’s husband Matt. In the pictures she has shown of him he looks really gorgeous and could take top prize!
  10. Even with the censored patch, I can tell that your daughter is gorgeous and I love her dimples! @SarahPrtr Sarah, that’s so sweet, thank you!
  11. My daughter and her friends went to see Tom and Tom at the club at Harrah’s in Atlantic City this weekend. Daughter doesn’t watch but her friends (and I) do lol. The Toms gave everyone lots of face time. My girl asked Schwartz if he would say hi to me and he taped a whole hello video to me calling me by name and asking where I was. (It was 2am and I was home in bed!) That’s my daughter with Sandoval and she and her friend with Schwartz, it hurt to color out their faces but privacy..you know... anyway the girls had a blast and the tix were only like $25.
  12. The thing is, it’s not about the prom. I live in Jersey. My daughter did her junior and senior proms a few years ago. The pre-prom is nice and a big deal for us parents lol but the prom itself is only prelude. Around here the kids go to the formal prom, dance a little, eat a little, then get in the limos and go down the shore. For the whole weekend. Where they go wild. As my daughter was honest enough to tell me after senior prom, and lord knows what she didn’t tell me. But there’s a lot of reasons why a 20 year old would want to go. It’s not for prom. And to be honest, not too many are going to tell their girlfriend to go and have fun without them! Especially here, there’s no “brunch tomorrow”. There’s a weekend in Wildwood or Seaside and it starts tonight, right after the dance ends.
  13. @ghoulina I agree with your entire post, but this sentence the most! First I thought it was some weirdly shaped fresh chicken, but I knew it couldn't be so had to rewind, in slow mo, just to make sure. It was actually sort of repulsive to me bc it was so gelatinous and floppy. I’ve seen cooked octopus many times but never gave a thought to how it is made. I guess now I’ve learned that it gets boiled. But you’re right, why at six am???
  14. Agreed! So I just looked at Bergdorf’s website to see if that boutique is still there, and online they are only selling one item of hers, a tray that says there’s no crying at Bergdorf Goodman. Next week I’ll be in the city, I might just go and satisfy my curiosity as to whether she is still sold in store or is it still just the one online item. When I click on the names of the other designers on BG website, they have pages of items. I wonder if this whole boutique was a one day thing put together just for the show
  15. I admit I’m no fashion maven so maybe I just don’t get it. I don't know Ashley Longshore but I know Bergdorf’s and I just don’t see the two mixing together. I enjoyed the fact that her personality was bubbly and her critiques were strong. Her art may be enjoyable, I don’t know, I have only seen what was on the show, but to me those fabrics were hideous. Truly ugly. Victoria’s was the only was that wasn’t horrible. But the rest were either drab, dull and ugly or the opposite, too loud, colorful and ugly. The prints were trying way too hard to be outrageous. That said I have to confess the only outfit that I liked in the end was Sergio’s. I did not like Delvin’s outfit today but I’m hoping for him for the win. I like his personality and his skills and his taste. Rare trifecta!
  16. I would have liked to seen more of Ryan and I’m sorry he left. Obviously this was filmed months ago but I hope things are ok
  17. I must have missed that part. What did they say? I’m always curious how virtual strangers can live together for weeks in such close quarters; I know it would be an issue for me
  18. And how. Look him up. He just represented a 40-something year old woman in NJ. The woman is a drug addict with an order of protection against her to not be around her ex or her children because she already beat up the nanny almost to death, so she had to move out, so she moved into her grandmothers luxury Atlantic City condo, where her mother was living too. Then last year she murdered them both, with her deceased fathers nightstick, took their money and credit cards and went to nyc to shop and stay in a nice hotel. She didn’t shoot them or anything from a removed distance, she literally beat her 67 year old mother and 87 year old grandmother to death, with a heavy wood stick, one and then the other, how much rage and violence does that signify? Her uncle found them dead on the floor when they didn’t answer the phone for a day or two. His mother and his sister. And this fkn lawyer represented the killer and arranged a plea. She got 40 years but she was up for two times life. He is the most disgusting person. And he’s so proud to be on camera but I want to punch him through the screen
  19. I thought my eyes were broken! It did not look or feel right at all I embarrassingly said it was the removal of eggs. Which wasn't totally incorrect, I guess, as there would be eggs removed Lol I don’t know about that...I had an oophorectomy in my fifties, when there were no eggs left!
  20. I have to disagree, nothing against your kindheartedness, I feel for her children, I truly do. But I feel much more sympathy for the children of all the people that were stiffed by Joe and Teresa. They literally didn’t pay the workers, the electricians, carpenters, plumbers, painters, etc, and then claimed bankruptcy. With that those debts are wiped away, but those people never got paid and never will. I say if Teresa has any profit from selling the house that money should go to them. I’m sure their kids would like to go to college too.
  21. Well I know I’m alone in this opinion, but here goes. And let me say that I do not particularly like Shane, and I cringe at their marital scenes. So uncomfortable But...Emily and Shane, from what I understand, were not dating or anything, they were co-workers, and kind of just decided they should marry. Sort of like a marriage of convenience, she wanted to have children, and frankly I don’t know what motivated Shane, as he already had children. Maybe he just wanted to have a wife, for appearances and reasons that I can’t speculate on. But Emily knew how he was and knew this wasn’t going to be a loving warm affectionate romantic relationship. You can’t change someone’s personality, and I assume putting him on TV only exacerbates it. He’s clearly not comfortable in front of the camera and I think he is responding by being “funny” but it doesn’t come across that way to us. Certainly the bread wafting was mean but I really think he thought it was funny, in his socially awkward way. Now she is constantly on him to be more affectionate to her, and she’s embarrassed to have this cold relationship in front of the cameras and her friends, but I don’t think she’s fair at all. This was the deal. You get a man, a father for your children, and his family and wealth and stability that you crave. But now she keeps asking for more than he can give her. And she gets mad that he can’t. I honestly feel for him because he never counted on them being on TV. I believe he is keeping his end of the deal, he’s a father and a husband, yes he’s cold but he always was, but she’s asking for more kids, more affection, more attention, more involvement, and to be attentive and loving and natural in front of the cameras. Which he can’t do
  22. Will actually was fantastic on his first season of Big Brother, which he did win. He also did another season, maybe it was all stars or veterans, some theme with retuning players I’m sure he was not on survivor, but I bet you’re thinking of Boston Rob, he did fall in love on survivor w another contestant and she won. I can see mixing up Dr. Will and Boston Rob, since each was such a dominant and masterful player player on their respective shows.
