  1. Did we ever learn what Danny wrote in the toast? I think Danny's anger wasn't just about how the abuse was handled, but how he was treated for the rest of his life. Not only did his family not protect him, including his own mother, but, as he said in the scene on the beach, he was then forced to beg, fight, claw his way through life. In his mind, they made him who he was, they destroyed his chance at any type of normal, happy life. Now, that said, yes, Danny is an adult, who is ultimately responsible for his own actions, but he was hardly a responsible human being. But when there is so much self-loathing, it would have been virtually impossible for him to have "risen above" his circumstances, so to speak. I'm really fascinated by the character of Sally Rayburn. There is, of course, her ultimate crime. She did not protect her son. She did not help him feel safe in his own home. She did not stand up to the man that blamed and abused him (I'm assuming that the abuse did not end with the attack after Sarah's death, but continued in verbal and emotional form for a long time after). She did not comfort her daughter who was so distraught about her parents fighting. Why? What was going on with her, who was she, to not offer those things to her children? What else went on in that house during those years that would have prevented that? How controlling was Robert, was she scared of him during that time? If she was leaving her husband anyway, came home to her daughter dead and her son badly beaten, why did she go back? I think there's a lot more to learn about the character of Sally Rayburn.
  2. I am so glad I stuck with Bloodline, but I have to say this episode felt a little disappointing after the roller coaster that was episodes 9-12. For 1, I guessed way back when that Danny had a son so as soon as they showed a teenage boy at the end I knew who it was. And 2, once they killed Danny in episode 12, I knew that they were going to set it up to frame the drug runners, so the police motive "reveal" wasn't very revealing, right down to the seersucker suit. Don't get me wrong, the acting was amazing, and I had my moments (started bawling my eyes out when Danny's mother learned of her son's death), but episode 12 felt more like the finale and 13 like a tag-on wrap up. That said, I think this was one of the best done shows I've seen in a while, so I will be back for season 2.
  3. Hasn't the concept of Dash Dolls already been done with a different store? on a different network, with a different group of people? I swear I read that article and thought, wait, this has already happened. On a side note, oh god, please no Kim Stewart. Please no.
  4. To go one step further, it's no surprise that he's in the place he is now. I seem to remember a time when Rob was actually pretty defensive for Kim. I remember the Bentley and Breckenridge episodes, and I thought I remembered a talking head with Rob when he was saying that he sometimes feels bad for Kim because Khloe and Kourtney will gang up on her, and he doesn't think it's cool. He and Khloe were always really close, but I think he was always close with Kim as well. Somewhere along the way that changed and Kim stopped being an ally for Rob. It was evident a few seasons ago, back before Kanye entered the picture.
  5. I would agree with the above statement. I remember when Rob and Adrienne were introducing their families, and Rob was sensitive to the fact that Adrienne came from a much more conservative family and he asked his sisters to tone it down for their benefit - he knows who and what his family is. He knows how and why they became famous. He knows that they are tacky, inappropriate and vulgar. He knows that they are riding the famewhore train as long as they can. He knows that this reflects poorly on them and that people look down on them as a result. Rob may be depressed and unhealthy. But he's no dummy when it comes to exactly what goes on around him.
  6. Wasn't there an article this past holiday season where Kourtney spoke about their holiday traditions, including having a big Christmas party for their kids, where their friends come over and they decorate gingerbread houses as part of the fun?
  7. The Toby as A reveal in the kitchen and Spencer's breakdown to her mother, followed by Spencer crying outside his door.
  8. I'm standing by my theory from earlier this season that all of the big (not Big) A reveals were legitimate: They were all a part of and have always been on the A team, and they just cycle them in and out, while adding "outside" characters to add to the mystery but are ultimately without true relevance. There were so many references in this episode that were shout-outs to the background of that show. And quite frankly, this Charles character as Big A or A makes no sense whatsoever, there's no emotional involvement in him or anything. Anyway, here's my breakdown to support this theory. Dolls/Dollhouse: MonA. Has anybody truly believed that MonA has changed her ways, that she's the innocent victim? She was the original A, the master manipulator, and quite frankly, a genius. She's all sorts of awesome, and Mrs. Hastings comment about "all of this feels like Mona..." why yes, it does. Doesn't it? And let's not forget, MonA has been with us since the beginning. Video Surveillance and the Prom: The Prom was a recreation of Melissa, Jason, Garrett and Ian's prom. The 3 members of the original NAT club and Melissa (did we find out if she knew about the NAT club, or was she just Ian's girlfriend at the time?). Additionally, you had Melissa randomly calling her parents. What was the point of that, only to have Andrew listening in on the phone call? Let's face it, there are so many ways to show Andrew listening in on what's happening in that room that didn't need to inclue Melissa. They have been with us from day 1. The Gas Mask: EzrA. Sorry, but Ezra's punching the wall was a little too over-the-top fake out to me. The character of EzrA was much more interesting and enjoyable than Ezra. And he, too, has been with us since the beginning. (and let's face it, EzrA was the big reveal that season, Shana was nothing but a plot device). The Chair: Toby (although, I'm not convinced he's A-team). And Toby has been with us since the beginning. Who are some of the big ones that I'm missing - Jenna and Lucas. Were there any shout outs to them that I'm missing? Did something go on during the tea party or game that I missed? Because both of those were just creepy. That said, I may be in the minority because I really loved this episode. It was campy but freaked me out. That dollhouse, being locked up like that? Shudders...
  9. Aww, I like seeing Kanye with North. It's the only time we get pictures of him smiling. She must be so relieved when the cameras are gone. Everybody stops glaring at her and everything around her all the time. His outfit reminds me of Lauren Conrad: "Homeboy wore combat boots to the beach. I know you don't want to call that your boyfriend!" Oh Justin Bobby...I mean Kanye.
  10. This is one thing I've always hated about Khloe. Actually it's a piece of the loud and innappropriate puzzle that is Khloe Kardashian. She's loud, crass, vulgar, and then gets overly physical with everybody. I think I'd be scared of her if I met her in real life. When she married Lamar, she seemed softer and more likeable. I don't know if that was because she was happy and content and didn't need to be overly loud and in your face. I don't know if it was because she was the least likeable and considered the most unattractive of the 3, so her stylists decided to soften her up a bit to make her more palatable to the viewers, or what. But ever since she split with Lamar we've been back to the Khloe personality of the first seasons. I didn't miss it, and wish it would go away. And why of why do they talk about vaginas so much? Seriously, what's the fascination?
  11. A couple of questions. Isn't it pretty well established that all of this Scott "irresponsible/addiction/bettering himself" storyline is basically all fake at this point? I thought there had been enough quotes in the press (or at least in the local NY area press) from people that know Scott and the Disick family that say that all of this stuff we've seen with Scott in recent years has just been for storyline because otherwise he and Kourtney basically have no storyline? Ironically enough, I find Scott and Kourtney quite likeable when they are just being themselves. We had a season or 2 of that. I guess that wasn't exciting enough for KJ. And truth be told, I'm more appalled at the rehab facility than the Kardashian family. I'm not surprised that they would stoop this low. Or maybe they've just done so much at this point that nothing really surprises me. A rehab facility however....that's a whole different can of worms.
  12. LOL. My son just turned 2. For Christmas, his uncle bought him a pair of Doc Martens. They are adorable on, however, OMG they are a PAIN to get on little feet. You have to unzipper them, and unlace them. My son actually doesn't like them too much. I think it's because they come up higher on his leg than his sock (he's obviously not wearing them over tights or leggings). However, this morning he adamantly refused to wear his practical stride rite sneakers and wanted to wear his "boos." So like little North, today, baby-boy-Shangrilala is stomping around daycare in his doc Martens. My 4 year old would kill for that Frozen backpack. North looks a lot like Kourtney in some of these pictures.
  13. I'm nearly 100% positive it was her. During Jason's testimony, there was a point when everybody turned to stare at Ashley in the courtroom. Nicole Anderson (Miranda) was in that quick scene.
  14. I've never understood the Aria as A theory...why do people think she's A, besides all of this starting once she got back from Iceland? Did anybody besides me notice dead Miranda sitting in the courtroom?
  15. This is a past topic, but I just watched Kim's journey to the alter episode where Scott puts on his sunglasses, says good luck to Kim and says "you know what to do" and just wanders out the door. I could have seriously watched that clip a million times, that was hysterical.
  16. I'm actually a little stunned at her new look. First of all, the color is wretched. But honestly, that's the least of it, people do crazy things with their hair all the time. Her eyes (besides looking dead) are all wonky, her nose is too narrow, she looks like a caricature. And her style... They are clearly trying to go for some fashion avant garde look, but it's becoming really disturbing. I feel like between the surgery, the waist cinching, etc., she's basically mutilating herself. I mentioned the Hunger Games when it came to Kanye's fashion line, but now, I feel like we are about 2 steps away from Kim dying her skin purple or shaving her teeth to create fangs, or something equally fucked up. This does NOT seem normal. And what's even more disturbing is, didn't Kanye's mom die as a result of a botched plastic surgery or something? WHY is he earth is he encouraging this? Didn't he fall in love with dark, curvy, sexy Kim? What is he creating? And quite frankly, I think it's 95% him because NONE of this stuff was going on before him. I feel like we're watching the destruction of a human being here, and it's disturbing. As for her having sex 500x a day, will her doctor please step in and give her fertility lesson 101? If you're having sex every day, at the right time, and not getting pregnant, you're actually supposed to try every other day. Not amp it up. You can have so much sex that you affect the odds of pregnancy. But that's the least of the problem. STOP with the waist training, it's probably affecting your fertility, you moron!
  17. You know, I have to say, I didn't hate that performance. I don't get the white box thing, I mean, to me it looked like he was in an asylum, all he needed were the padded walls (hmmmmm....) but I think you could tell that the song really meant a lot to Kanye. It was about his mother and his daughter and it looked like he was really putting himself into that performance. And hey, it was kind of a relief for him not to be yelling about bitches, hoes, fucking this and that and racism and how the white man don't understand artistry and all that shit. I think what bothers me most about a lot of Kanye's performances is that I don't understand what he's doing. I find him kind of awkward to watch, and exceptionally distracting to the music, but it's clear that he wants you to really pay attention. The same thing happened during his performance with Rihanna and Sir Paul at the Grammy awards. I've never been a huge Kanye West fan, but I went back and watched his VMA Gold Digger performance and his American Idol Heartless performance on YouTube and he was so much more likeable. He had swagger, he was entertaining, he had presence. Now he just looks like he's convulsing in a white box. But like I said, it's better than him cursing at me.
  18. Which would lead me back to one of my very first questions on this site - what on earth did these girls do to deserve this? I want Toby to still be on the A-team. His reveal, the confrontation with him between him and Spencer and the subsequent fallout was amazing. Ezra I'm not as committed to, but like I said, he's the only one with the money and he was much more interesting than A than he is as a pedophile. Now that said, if this theory is true, does that mean that Spencer is still on the A team as well?
  19. So my new theory -- without any spoilers to help it along, and going back to the Halloween special when Ian said "nobody really dies in Rosewood." Mona is not dead and is still on and has always been on the A team. She's not meeting with Mike because he was just a pawn in her game. Ezra is on the A team, and may be uber-A (so far he's the only one with the money to pull this off) Toby is still on the A team. Lucas is still on the A team. Basically, the A-team has always been intact and just cycles players in and out to torture the girls, until it's time for somebody to "die" and go hide in a bunker somewhere, eating popcorn and watching things pan out on camera. I realize my theory once again makes no sense, but neither does anythign else, so...
  20. I agree. Of course she worked her family connections. And quite honestly why shouldn't she? I used my family connections while looking for my first job. Granted, it's nowhere near the Kardashian level, but one networking interview via somebody my dad knew from work, landed me an interview on capitol hill with my congressman (and a job offer I wound up turning down). That's how networking works, and the Kardashian kids are far from the first to use their family connections for their career purposes. Their connections are just way beyond that of the average joe. Does that mean she shouldn't take advantage of that? I doubt she's walking Oscar De La Renta because her mom is Kris Jenner. She's walking Oscar De La Renta because there is something about her that the designers find compelling and desirable. I mean, come on. It's Oscar De La Renta. I've seen plenty of posts (not necessarily on PTV) where people bash Rob for NOT using his family connections to get his life together. And then there are the posts slamming Kendall because she did just the opposite. Which is it? She may not have made it as a career as a model. Maybe she would have. Maybe it would have taken her longer. Or maybe, by nature of living in LA, she would have been the case of "found at the mall" or "I went to high school with the kid whose parent is the head of this agency." We'll honestly never know. On a separate note, I think it's awesome that she didn't walk Kanye. Apparently they wanted her. Apparently she was already booked. Apparently that's how Kylie got the gig. My guess? She saw the designs somewhere along the way and ran in the other direction.
  21. I'm not sure I understand the criticism of the clothes Kendall is modeling on the Runway. These aren't Kendall's designs. Furthermore, I doubt she is in a position yet to have any say whatsoever over what she wears for each designer. Yes, she is in demand, but that doesn't mean she is established enough for her agent to say "she only wears the final piece" or whatever. And regarding her modeling style, if you look at other models in the DVF show, none of them are smiling, it's not like there the girl behind her has this huge presence on the runway. This is the fashion industry right now. This is not the era of the supermodel. This is not the Victoria Secret Fashion show. This is high fashion. It's ultimately about the clothes, and yes, at the end of the day, they want human hangers. Not somebody who is going to strut the runway with a huge smile on her face, detracting from the clothes. That's not what's in the job description. From what I can see, Kendall is doing all the right things for her modeling career. She's making the right choices. She had the option to do a show that would have allowed her to show her personality a bit more (VS) and she opted not to so that she could take the higher end line. So we didn't get to see if she can strut herself one night. I don't think she's too upset about that choice. I mean, she's modeling Oscar De La Renta, Marc Jacobs, and Vera Wang. I'd rather see her doing this than a glorified T&A show. And compared to her sisters, she's actually forging a pretty respectable career in fashion. So I say, go Kendall. Truth be told, if this wasn't a Kardashian, I wonder if people would be so offended by what their seeing. Let's say her name was Jane Smith. Would she still be dull, boring, talentless, and a zombie? Or would she be another rising star in the fashion industry?
  22. What was Anna Wintour even doing at Kanye's show to begin with? I mean, I could KIND of understand putting Kim and Kanye on the cover of Vogue. Kind of. But what is up with the relationship? How does it exist to begin with? Why does it exist? Of all the movers and shakers in the fashion world, and all the people of influence, why is Anna Wintour wasting her time with Kanye West? Is he THAT influential that Anna Wintour would show up to a fashion show of Hooters girl body stockings? I can understand Beyonce and JayZ being there. I can understand Puffy/PDiddy/Diddy/Sean Combs being there. But Anna Wintour? Why? How? Why? I'm SO confused. P.S. Did anybody besides me think that the outfits looked like something out of the Hunger Games? Like it could be the Distrrict 13 wardrobe or some post-apocalyptic movie costumes or something?
  23. So then...Kanye agrees that he's nothing but a loser? And can somebody please explain to me why the frack Kanye is so up Beyonce's award ceremony butt? Kanye, dude. She is not your wife. She will never be your wife. You are probably nothing but an embarrassment to her, but she tolerates you because you are friends with her husband. That's what people do with their spouses less than desirable friendships (for as long as they last). You tolerate them and privately wish they would stop coming around so much. Stop worrying about Beyonce's success and award shelf and concentrate on getting your shit together because the more you talk, the more idiotic you sound, and the more respect you lose. Actually, nevermind. Keep talking your way out of the spotlight. I would rather watch Kim scream about her Bentley moment than listen to you. P.S. Not everything in life is racist or an example of classicism. Actually the people who run around screaming racism constantly wind up being the ones who are racist themselves. It goes both ways you know. Just sayin....
