  1. Darn right! After coming out of that experience if I were her I would be willing to meet 20 plus new men, travel to exotic places and get paid to do it. No better way to wash the stank of Arie Luyendyk off IMO.
  2. I don't hate them but if I did that would be even more of a reason for me not to watch. To each his own @SABER5055 but I can promise you I wouldn't be watching. Regardless of their choices and actions I think they are two incredibly boring people and I have no interest whatsoever in seeming them get married.
  3. So your saying anyone would be surprised at the Arie supporters out there? Or the gluttons for punishment?
  4. Call me dense but I don't get it. How can you make money on something most people won't watch? Do you think Christmas will be enough time to soften their image? Personally I would never have any interest in seeing it. And that was even before he decided to film the break up.
  5. I wonder if she'll bring her dog on the show like Rachel did? I agree I think she will do well as the lead. I've heard some say she's to boring but that's because up until the last few episodes we didn't see that much of her. She had the first 1on 1 and then that long stretch of nothing so we really didn't know much about her. I love her go get'em attitude as well. This girl has faced some adversity and come out stronger I think. I immediately thought of her dad when she volunteered to donate the 6,000 dollars to Stand Up To Cancer. I guess being a cancer patient myself that touched me. I hope she hits it off with someone as well and has a great time in the process.
  6. Exactly. And given how this show loves drama I would say that it was cyberbulling. I must be getting tired because when I read "bitch, die" it just struck me as so funny. I think you just have a way with words and phrases @chocolatine.
  7. I agree that Arie made the right choice. For now or forever who knows. His past behaviour certainly makes one doubt forever but she may be the one to do it. But for now they need to go on lay low and stay off TV for a good long time. Preferably forever. Also agree with your take on Becca. Just because she's ready to do the Bachelorette doesn't mean she never cared for Arie. And why does she have to be suspect for wanting to do it? After probably realizing fairly quickly after the initial shock wore off that Arie really wasn't for her I don't blame her for wanting a chance to meet new men, travel and feel wanted again.
  8. I agree that it's crazy for anyone to be issuing death threats. There's no excuse for that kind of psycho behaviour but the last time I checked there was no one on these boards doing that. We have only been stating our very sound arguments that Arie's behaviour was despicable. Don't forget HE REQUESTED that they film the break up. That's unbelievably cruel at worst and delusional at best. And I don't see ascribing "motivations and proof" on Arie's actions any different than others applying the same to Becca's feelings and actions during the break up. Given that he purposely brought cameras to film her reactions I would think that's much more suspect than reaching to say Becca didn't really care for Arie because she didn't cry enough, she was faking it..ect. I' m not saying you specifically said that but it seems some think painting Becca in a bad light justifies or diminishes Arie's actions. We will have plenty of time to judge and critizise her next season but she shouldn't be taking flack for something she had no control over. It's just bizarre to me that she was treated that way but somehow she's supposed to be the villain?
  9. Boy these two just don't get it do they? They are so delusional. Do they seriously think ABC would take a chance on televising their wedding that barely anybody would watch? We don't want to see their wedding. We just want them to go away. Talk about a programming disaster!
  10. It's a hilarious video that Nick and Dean from the franchise did spoofing Arie's dumbass. Check it out. It's upthread. ETA: Oops sorry it was Becca not Lauren and "wheat thins". Sorry I had a brain fart. Corrected it in my original post.
  11. Agree. "Hey Becca you want some wheat thins"...lol You kind of feel bad for laughing but actually it was a killer jab at Arie showing just what a ass he is. We needed the laughs after these last few episodes.
  12. For all the people who didn't like Nick I don't think he could be accused of being uncaring. I'm reminded of when he let Raven go. You could tell he was genuinely upset that he was hurting her and that was in the normal situation of the Bachelor having to pick his F1. No way would he have been a part of that fiasco Arie orchestrated. I think that was what the viewers wanted to see. Some genuine turmoil in the fact that you are having to break someone's heart. But you can't show it if your incapable of feeling it. Glad this season is over. Show needs to wait a good long time before they maybe attempt to show his face around this franchise again. BachelorNation needs time to heal from that insensitive callous behaviour we had to witness. Personally I hope we never have to see his face again.
  13. Here hear! Perfectly stated. Love a good voice of reason and decency.
  14. I was hoping Becca wouldn't accept the Bachelorette but it was always all about her choice. I was happy for her either way. I just hope after the way the show has treated her that they will go easy on her and not give her too bad of an edit. But who am I kidding it won't take long for the bloom to fall off the rose. Can't imagine what they will try to come up with to top Arie's fiasco. Strap in Becca I have a feeling it's going to be a bumpy ride. Arie really don't know what a favor he did her though. It's poetic justice really that had that horrendous break up not happened there was a good chance she wouldn't have got the spot. Many found her boring or not exciting enough. I was ok with her but so was I Seinne, Kendall...etc. I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt though. If not overdone (overuse of "let's do the damn thing" for instance) I love her no nonsense, confident and bubbly personality. I liked the English guy at the end. Lincoln I think? We'll see how that plays out. Wanker, indeed.
  15. Sorry show. Too much too soon. He blindsides Becca one night and proposes to the one he left her for the next. Yeah hard to be happy for this asshole. Not buying this "fairytale".
  16. I beg to change my opinion. Which goes to shows you even the ones who had maybe a ounce of goodwill towards this dumbass just lost it.
  17. Yes! I think that is exactly what happened.
  18. My thoughts as well. Because of being really disgusted that Arie treated Becca that way I admit I was probably guilty of over emphasizing Lauren's role in this. She was not responsible for Arie's actions at the final RC. If he loved her that much he should have been a man went with his gut and not made a decision based on what his family thought. She wasn't responsible for him ambushing Becca the way he did. But she is not the total innocent is this either. Once that proposal was made she should not have encouraged Arie when he made contact with her. Just because these people are dumb enough to go on this show doesn't mean they should throw away common decency towards their fellow man. Being "in love" is no excuse. So yes she's for the most part not responsible for Arie's actions but your right she doesn't look good in all of this. I'm amazed though how quick people are to critizise Becca in all this. Since when does getting blindsided on national TV make you the villain?? Trying to paint her in a bad light does not justify Arie and Lauren's decisions. She did nothing wrong but suddenly her motives and thoughts are being questioned? Makes no sense to me. Smh.
  19. Totally agree with all this! Why would an engaged man who is already "conflicted" about another woman be convuluting things further by initiating contact with yet another woman? I see at the end of the message he said, "how are you doing" or "hope your well". It sounds innocent enough but that's just a sly way of keeping the line of communication going. As they say around here, " I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him". Which ain't far.
  20. Well some times the best lessons in life are learned the hard way. Like I said she made her bed now she has to lay in it. Arie was already texting other women while he was supposed to be so conflicted and in love with her. Keeping his avenues open you know. Creep.
  21. Good post Stan. You sound like a stand up guy. No your not an idiot glad to know there's people left in the world who consider others feelings and want to do the right thing. Not to mention being smart enough not to get involved in a mess like that. My points exactly. What was Lauren thinking?
  22. I don't think they planned it per se I just think that when she agreed to take him back she had to know how bad this was going to hurt Becca. How could she take him back knowing he had already rejected her once and also not worry if he did this to Becca he might do it to her. There was even some posts early in the thread about Lauren mentioning meeting him in Dallas before the show. So she then conveniently shows up as a contestant? Coincidence?? Can we be 100 % certain they didn't plan this? Who knows? Regardless I don't feel sorry for her. She knew what she was agreeing too. She made her bed now she has to lay in it.
  23. Good post. Totally agree. And as we see in a few posts upthread Arie the conflicted, tortured soul who was so in love with Lauren was sending Bekah K messages in the meantime. Dude's a player so I think it's safe to say Lauren's happily ever after dream is just that. A dream.
  24. Exactly. RS said when he broke this weeks ago that Becca was led to believe that the show were going to do some safehouse filming so she wouldn't have been aware a breakup was coming. She probably thought the show was just changing it up some after so many seasons. Yes she knew Arie had some doubts but like a sick family member who you know is probably going to die you are still shocked when it happens. Geez. I'm really dumbfounded that she's getting flack for this. Smh.
