  1. Ok let me say that for someone to go on live national tv to make a apology they deserve some sincere good guy points in my opinion. That to me would be so excruciating and awkward that to be willing to do that says to me that Kirk genuinely liked and cared for Carly. I think he got scared and things were just going to fast for him. Carly's problem is she doesn't come across very likeable and still seems very bitter... but in her defense I will say that I liked her comment at the end where she admitted Kirk wasn't a bad guy and asked men to stop saying misleading things that mess with women's head's. I have had that experience before and if he said the things she said he did then I can see where she thought she could be vulnerable and trust him. That kind of hurt can take some time to get over. Men and women are just wired so differently. Yes Kirk could have did many things differently but I think he truly didn't mean to hurt Carly. She needs to try to put it behind her and learn from the experience. Being bitter isn't going to help.
  2. Yeah I noticed that too. That was a little over the top and unwarranted. I think Mikey was grasping at straws and embarrassed himself but she didn't have to react in the limo like she did. Although she came off a little ditsy I thought she was kind of cute and sweet. Now I wonder. To have that kind of reaction usually means there's emotions involved and unless there's something we didn't see I don't get the hostility. Like geez Mackenzie what did he do to you to deserve that??
  3. I think it's kind of shitty the way this show milks these people's hurt to the point of overkill. With both Juelia and Carly they showed the girls gushing about their feelings and hopes for the future at the same time the guys were either using them (Joe) or getting ready to break it off (Kirk). We already knew how much they would be hurt without the extra sound bites. I would say that these women must feel so embarrassed and humiliated to have to watch this played back on national television.
  4. And you are probably right Armchair but I think if that had happened it would have backfired on Carly that early in the game. Who could really say with the way they edit these shows but I don't think the viewers would have had much sympathy for her and if they were being honest probably not much of the cast members either.
  5. I wasn't saying that Kirk wasn't justified in his feelings as much as I was saying that he should have known that conversation wasn't going to go well and not act so shocked that it didn't. I'm not so sure that he would have been treated so much as the bad guy, (as long as he didn't have ulterior motives like in Joe's case) if he had did it earlier. Dan did it with Ashley S. and people didn't seem to mind. It would have been rocky for a few days but I don't think he would have been hated for it.
  6. Men really are clueless sometimes. What did he expect? Like she was going to say, " sure no worries Kirk I completely understand and your such a stand up guy for telling me." That may have worked in week 2 and regardless if it had been only 4-5 weeks there was a attachment there so don't act like your so shocked.
  7. I think Ashley handled Jared going home fairly well. We saw some crying but not as nearly as much as I expected. I think Jared was giving it a honest effort to talk to her more privately and see if there could be something there. Knowing there wasn't he did the right thing by leaving. At least Ashley stuck with her initial feelings and left also instead of sticking in for more exposure. Not sure what to think of Kirk and Carly. One moment I think he was a ass for waiting that long to tell her and then the next I feel kind of sorry for him that she expected so much from him after just 4 weeks. She seemed really upset and then there were times that she seemed to be crying but there were no tears. Personally I think it can be hard to be vulnerable and put your feelings out there for everyone to see. It's easier to let it out in private. Kind of like grieving after a death. Maybe some of that was going on with her. I was so embarrassed for Mikey. Really Mikey? What did you expect to accomplish in one week? Should have left on a good note like Dan and saved yourself the embarrassment. I love Tenley! I wasn't so crazy about her when she first came on but she has turned out to be the one of the sweetest, sincerest persons there. The insect in her dress bit was hilarious and she handled it in funny, endearing way.
  8. Yeah I saw this too and just posted a link to the article.
  9. I had posted this earlier on the After Paradise heading but realized I probably should have posted it on this one. For those who are interested... Interesting article I found on Wetpaint with Ashley I upset about the show's editing. She confirms what we already knew about how the show does "selective" editing and clears up some questions about her giving Jared her rose after he had told her he wasn't into her. If anyone would like to read it here's the link. http://www.wetpaint....letter-1437031/
  10. Interesting article I found on Wetpaint with Ashley I upset about the show's editing. If anyone would like to read it here's the link. http://www.wetpaint.com/ashley-iaconetti-jared-haibon-bachelor-in-paradise-letter-1437031/ Also read another article where she states on her twitter page the outcome of the fantasy suite date but don't want to post spoilers for those who would rather wait. But I will say that I was pleased with the outcome.
  11. Again I have to agree with you Judy. Yes Samantha is a manipulative, self-centered woman who deserved to be questioned for her actions but not in the way the co-host did it. I agree that with the way this show works at least a part of this Sam/Joe/Juelia drama had to be producer driven. When Chris told the co-host she had to leave at Samantha's request my first thought was, "you've got to be kidding me, she really is delusional that she thinks she deserves this special treatment" I understand the co-host wanted to get in the tough questions but she should have allowed Samantha to have her say and then asked her next question. I'm sure many people liked the way she dove in to Samantha like that but I feel she would have been more effective if she had just used common manners. Her approach in my opinion had the opposite effect of what she was trying to achieve. I was waiting any minute for them to bring in the bonfire and the stake. At any rate I'm really over this done to death Sam/Joe/Juelia drama. A little drama is interesting too much is overkill.
  12. I agree with your take on Jared and also admire him for not ridiculing Ashley. I think Chris and the blonde were dying for him to throw out some innuendo or clue about what happened in the fantasy suite with Ashley but he wasn't going there. That I think is what women see in him. He's a gentleman which is rare to find, especially on these franchise shows. I too think he got in over his head and tried to make the best of a very awkward situation. Someone commented in a earlier post that they didn't see him and Ashley talk on the show tonight and what could be read from that. Ashley seemed very relaxed and relatively happy to me so I think they may have came to a understanding or at the very least become friends.
  13. Even though I still don't really care for Samantha I have to agree with this. I found myself getting very irritated with that Jenny what ever her name is lady. I mean really whatever happened to polite manners. She wouldn't even let her speak for goodness sake. Rude ass woman. You know what's ironic though. She probably thought she was speaking for everybody and they would think she was some bad ass woman for giving Samantha the third degree like that but in my book she actually probably gained sympathy for Samantha with the rude way she treated her. They need to get rid of this woman and put her behind the wall permanently!
  14. Yes I think so too but oddly enough he did except her rose. No guy likes to read long letters about feelings but I think Jared is a nice guy who felt a little touched (pity?) by her sincerity. His reading it out loud was no doubt prompted by the producers but it seems his mindset is " we just have a few weeks left, let's just get through that and I can deal with the inevitable later". Although the forced fantasy suite date by Ashley will bring that all to a head and not in a good way for her I'm afraid. It will be interesting to see how he handles that.
  15. Not sure how that would work since I didn't watch BIP last year but I'm sure if Jared said no Ashley would just prefer to leave the show since she would have a major meltdown and consider it the end of her dating life. She's a beautiful woman and I read somewhere that she actually has a degree from Syracuse ( I think that was the university). She should give herself more credit but she obviously has self esteem issues.
  16. Samantha who do you think you are kidding? She is such a user and manipulator. No one is buying it except Dan who obviously just wants to sleep with her. He will crash and burn just as Joe did. Although it's hard to feel pity for Joe. What comes around goes around. Maybe he at least learned a lesson from it but with the person he showed himself to be I highly doubt it. Ashley I- She really is a beautiful woman. Although she has a lot of growing up to do I believe she genuinely has a good heart and she pleasantly didn't cry when Amber told her that she had a interest in Jared. Kind of found myself rooting for her. Although from next weeks preview I hope she doesn't get her heart totally crushed if Jared refuses the fantasy suite date. I'm sure the waterworks will be back on then.
  17. I'm actually looking forward to it more than I thought I would. I agree he really seems like a nice guy. Of course TPTB have got to have some of the usual hi-jinks and drama thrown in there but let's hope they don't tarnish him too much.
  18. No you didn't imagine it. I noticed that too. Almost like we might have saw shades of the human and funny side of Joe that the guys spoke of...almost.
  19. "Justin looks like a boy band member from 1996. His shirt did look gross but I think I did hear him say it was raining Omg...yes he does. I don't find him that attractive at all. Those big lips somehow don't look right on his face.
  20. New to posting here. So glad I found this forum. I've been reading all the posts..you guys are awesome! I hadn't watched this franchise seen Ben F season (and after that trainwreck I swore I never would again) but stumbled upon the Bachelorette premiere this spring and got hooked. You guys keep it real. Look forward to posting with you.
