When I went to Osheaga music festival in Montreal a couple of years ago (pre Covid), there was a huge anime and cosplay convention across from my hotel. Ella may not find much in Idaho, but a trip to any sort of convention or Comic Con type event in Seattle or Vancouver could bring options. It is easy to meet people online. You chat a bit and it is a case of why don’t you visit? Uh, I am not made of money, my job does not take me where you live and I just don’t zip off to meet some dude. Make an effort to meet me. If I felt there was any connection, it would move to FaceTime or other conferencing option and then see what happens.

I watched the preview. Gino and Jasmine went to some noticeably empty restaurant. She had a vegan wrap and he had a burger. Jasmine, if you do not want a meat eater, either accept it or pass. Gino, of course, is used to tipping, and leaves a tip for the server. Jasmine get jealous and is infuriated by it. Please ask the server about any tipping policy. If the tip is not included, I think it is 10% in Panama. No need for Jasmine to think Gino and the server have a thing going. I was turned off by Gino wearing his cap in the restaurant. Kimberley has landed in Zanzibar and is staying at some really nice resort. Usman will arrive the next day. She went off-budget and booked the honeymoon suite. A bit presumptuous. A higher grade room may have been more suitable. We are then introduced to Ella who loves all things Asian. Cosplay, dragons, samurai, etc. She meets Johnny from China. Unfortunately, her size may limit her dating opportunities. The discrimination for weight is not right, but that is the current world. Johnny is hoping to get a tourist visa to go to Idaho to meet her.

I was waiting for MarDevil to release some plagues or something and that John could do something like part the Christmas tree and rewind time. With the awful burning plastic smell coming from it, they *still* put ornaments on it? Like the Whos in Whoville after the Grinch stole the tree from the town square? They still gathered round and sang. I didn't notice Ciara's bosoms until she stood up and was decorating the tree. Yikes. There is Grandpa Doug. Maybe his 95 year old eyes didn't mind the look. I almost thought she would escape the dress. Angel Gabriel comes to see John and gives him some sort of magical necklace? That it is his battle to save Doc from Satan? Shawn should have had some emotion at what was a weird form of sexual assault. Maybe he and Belle will talk about it in that manner. Probably not easy to prove it in court. The Devil made a woman who's been in a coma shapeshift in to my wife and I thought it was my wife. A grey area, like Kristen and her various masks. I would have been horrified by what happened to me. I like Jennifer's shorter hair. She looked younger and more fresh. Nice to see Chad and Abs' kids. Did feel sorry for Tripp being connected to all that medical equipment. He should be creeped out that he was Jan Spears for a few hours.

It didn’t. I woke up at 5 am or so with a sinus headache and was feeling nauseous so I cancelled it and rebooked it for next week. A lot of people made bookings and the supply hasn’t come in, so who knows if my appointment will happen. I am not going to the five hour dinner. Rather stay home, eat what I want, and put my feet up. If I had the shot, I could have said my reaction sucked and I had to stay home. It will be a white Christmas here. Right now, Sunday night shows -36C as the forecast. Brrr. Happy Christmas, holidays, Festivus, Kwanzaa, etc. to everyone.

I liked Julie's sparkly outfit. It looked festive. Poor her and Doug, having to spend time with Ben and Ciara and their making googly eyes at each other. Wonder if the rest of the tree will burn, taking their ornanments. Bad luck! Of course Mardevil paid a visit. No reason for Ben to put the angel on the tree unless it was because the actor playing Doug is having motility issues and Julie is too short. Mardevil's plan is to turn Jan in to Belle? Shawn doesn't see any difference in his wife? If Belle has a scar or a tattoo or piercing, that will show up on Jan? Or acts differently toward him, doesn't touch him the same way, etc. etc. Plus since they brought up the safe word, use that to test her, Shawn. He just fell for it hook, line, and sinker. The timing was good on Belle leaving the station and planning a surprise for him. So that worked. EJ took Sami back waaaay to quickly, and she took him back waaaay too quickly. Poor Lucas having to deal with his kidnapper hire and then get him to implicate EJ in the kidnapping. It will come out, Lucas.

It is actually easy to marry there. I looked it up. One of the couples in 90dayfiance got married in Turkey and there was a lot of paperwork before doing so.

I wonder if the marriage is even legal. Some countries have residency requirements or other paperwork to do. They will probably have to remarry in the United States.

Chanel comes across as an oppotunist and gold-digger, attracted by a guy who paid attention to her, and happens to come from a rich family. With that kind of money that he may inherit some day, he should have an iron-clad pre-nup. She married Xander thinking he was rich and hoped to scam her mom out of money to end the fake marriage. No idea if this one will work out. Don't think it's about race, at least not now. It may become a factor later on. As will Chanel's attraction to Allie. No idea if that is over since both have other partners now. Both of them don't really know each other well, probably have never seen the other sick, or how they handle anger, hurt, disappointment. EJ will cut Johnny off? Good. Let him make his own way and see if Chanel sticks around. They really should have found a room at the Salem Inn for a few days and asked if they could stay in the mansion til they found their own home. Granted, the Salem occupancy rate must be pretty low so everyone stays at whatever space has an extra room. How interesting that one of the guards at Sami's kidnapping place has been caught. Wonder if he will sell out Lucas. Bad idea, Lucas. Sami and other folks will find out. Secrets don't stay secret in Salem. Mardevil's plan seems dumb. Shawn Douglas won't know his own wife or why she may be acting differently? If she went to see Trask to get the paperwork done, wouldn't someone have seen her? How could she get to the Salem Inn so fast? Is Mardevil going to hide in the bathroom? Under the bed? Turn herself into an insect and crawl out of the room? Bye, Philip. I wonder if he will go to the Kiriakis jet and go to a mental health spa to get himself help or just disappear, putting everyone at risk.

If I am physically meeting someone for the first time, I would book my own room for 2-3 nights to see how things work. Online interaction is one thing. You don’t get the vibes you do when you actually meet someone. I am just more cautious than a lot of these folks.

I am tentatively booked for my booster shot for Thursday. My first booking somehow was cancelled. Almost at the 6 months since the second shot. Might be able to get out of a Christmas Eve thing at my cousin’s friend’s home - she invites me months in advance, I don’t know her, I don’t socialize with her during the year. I like a quiet evening on my own before the mega dinner. Relatives on Christmas. I didn’t mind spending the day alone last year. They dropped off a food care package. Probably around 10 people expected. Provincial restrictions want folks to cut their contacts in half. I barely see anyone.

So Kate and Victor are now trying to get Philip off the hook for what he did? Rescinding that he is not dead? This will play out well. Lucas knows and can easily tell Sami or anyone. Was surprised to hear him admit that he kidnapped Sami. Thought he would keep that for a while. Sami, you are still thinking of yourself when other folks in your family have their own problems. Lani and Eli have no plans for a first birthday celebration for the twins? So Paulina sent her flowers. She didn't have to make a point of coming over. Just a call to say thank you for the flowers. No need to go running to 'mom'. Kind of surprised that Chanel and Johnny got married. It's very rushed. And not in a romantic, spur of the moment way. The shock on everyone's faces. Not really the best idea.

Philip seems to have snapped. I get his jealousy, but this is a bit extreme. He has zero evidence that Chloe cheated on him - just his jealous spin cycle of connecting dots that aren't there. He is playing a dangerous game that could get him arrested and/or spending quality time at Bayview. Hopefully his mom can out him or call the cops on the sly and have this stupid storyline wrap up. It's not fun long-term as there are real consequences. Jan Spears does get the best lines. Too bad she is paired with Mardevil, who comes up with dumb plans. Go after Shawn and Belle again. Sigh. Poor Tripp, being glamoured in to being Jan Spears and stuck in a coma in a hospital bed. Surely someone will notice his hospital ID bracelet or notice that he is missing. The hospital security tape should show Mardevil and Jan Spears, unless she glamoured her to be Tripp and should also show Tripp going in to that hospital room. I would guess that Mardevil would erase the footage. Belle is going in the right direction about Brady being framed, but not by Kristen. Think a bit more.
