  1. Week 19: 2/5 (bookends) 1* Overall: 54/95 5*
  2. Or even conspiracy. In fact, while on the stand, the kid was asked "didn't you conspire with the defendant?" I actually thought that was the charge!
  3. We're just "hand waving" it away. Apparently, the mom did post such a picture (of Maddie, dressed like that, wearing the bracelet, at her birthday party) but swears to God absolutely no one could see the picture, so we actually don't know how the dollmaker got the picture in order to make the doll (and apparently SVU doesn't care).
  4. Re: the above: Not all varieties are available everywhere (assuming it isn't a seasonal variety). So it's possible my store just doesn't carry it. On a related (sort of) note...I've been trying to find Duncan Hines Orange Cake---which the website indicates is available in several grocery stores near me (I'm in Chicago)--but they don't seem to actually carry it (no "blank space" where it would be if it just sold out). I've seen French Vanilla, Golden Yellow, Butter something, Lemon, Pineapple, Carrot, Spice, Angel Food, Devil's Food, German Chocolate, and a few others but not Orange! My sister ordered a box on Amazon and sent it to us.
  5. Celebs are a different show (and ending in two weeks--last semi this Tues and the final following Tues). As to Second Chance, it's ending Monday, but the Champions Wildcard (Season 39) starts Tuesday. I believe that is followed by the TOC. Regular games? What's that? It's been so long! I think they may resume in March.
  6. Week 18: 3/5 Overall: 52/90 (58%) 4* BTW, I, too, like the Brown Sugar Cinnamon variety of Pop Tarts, but I believe they are indeed frosted. (several minutes later) Just looked a package and it says (in tiny writing) Frosted (then in regular type) Brown Sugar Cinnamon. Is there also a non-frosted variety?
  7. Week 17: 5/5 1* Overall: 49/85 4* In honor of Thursday's FJ, I shall bring Clark bars.
  8. The thing is, she answered it (correctly) after time was up but neither of the other two rang in with it, so it became a TS!
  9. It probably has to do with dying just past Christmas.
  10. Week 16: 2/5 Overall: 44/80 (55%) 3*
  11. My TSs today: Frisk, Fear the Beard ("obvious nickname"--saw a beard, went for it), Golf & Gulf, and Andre Agassi. Instead of "palpation" I said "palpitation", knowing it wasn't right but close. Will not be discussing FJ---too ashamed.
  12. Week 15: 3/5 0* Overall: 42/75 (56%) 3*
  13. https://tvline.com/news/how-to-watch-homicide-life-on-the-street-online-andre-braugher-1235100197/ Don't get too excited---the article is just about how they are trying to stream it. Music rights is the big issue (as it is with a lot of old series (waiting on Chicago Hope, myself--streaming, DVD, whatever).
  14. Don't miss the "fine print" : Hours after Bialik shared the news, Sony released the following statement: “We made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season NEXT SEASON. In other words, we are still stuck with her for the remainder of THIS season. At least, that's how I read it.
  15. Week 14: 4/5 Overall: 39/70 (56%) 3*
  16. So, apparently there are actually 54 contestants available for the upcoming Season 39 Wildcard Championship. So several will play off-camera to earn a spot in that championship. https://thejeopardyfan.com/2023/12/champions-wildcard-unaired-play-in-round.html
  17. It's not the "start with furthest" that is a problem. After all, if the next task/finish line is near downtown, you are closer to that and it might be an advantage. However, the memory task was not in Seattle but some suburb. If that suburb was east of Grab (which looked way east of the other two), then the "last task Grab" people would be closer to it, whereas Rob & Corey would have to essentially backtrack to Grab to get there, costing them time. Better (as said in an earlier post) that the 3 Scramble tasks were in a triangle (say at "North", "West", "East"), with the memory task being "South", so that all 3 Scramble tasks were about the same distance away. Sure, the teams probably would still do "nearest", "middle", "furthest", but teams wouldn't be penalized for not doing them in that order (by being further away).
  18. One of Stabler's brothers has been cast: https://tvline.com/news/dean-norris-law-and-order-organized-crime-season-4-cast-randall-stabler-1235098449/ Oddly enough, this article says the return date has not been set, but other articles indicate Jan 18.
  19. Still curious about his "Aunt Maureen" (I think that's her name), mother of cousin "Jordy" (whose the one who infected Oz). How did Jordy get turned? Why didn't Aunt Maureen warn everyone (even if she doesn't say "he's a werewolf", how about "he has some sort of possibly contagious illness so don't get too close")?
  20. Week 13: 2/5 Overall: 35/65 3*. I made "Never Fail Fudge" (you know, the recipe on the marshmallow fluff--nut free) to send to my sister as part of her Xmas package and have plenty left over, so I'll bring that.
  21. I think he said that "in the net was worth 3 points, thru the goalposts was worth 1" and they had to get 3 total? So 1 netter would do it. I think he said that "in the net was worth 3 points, thru the goalposts was worth 1" and they had to get 3 total? So 1 netter would do it.
  22. Except that "America" and "America the Beautiful" are two different songs! I think he paused after that one in case the contestant added the "the Beautiful" part. I also think he paused after "Louisville" for a similar reason, as well as double-checking as to whether the clue referred to the bat or the city.
  23. Not leaning toward hospitals, but I agree with every word. I went with "The Continental", since I believe it's set in NY (at least the building they used for the movies was in NY). I, too, expected an actual building name in the title!
  24. News about TOC: https://thejeopardyfan.com/2023/12/27-players-in-upcoming-tournament-of-champions.html Apparently there will be 27 champions, taping early Feb & airing later that month. It will follow 4 weeks of 36 Second Chancers (Dec 19 - Jan 15) and 2 Champion Wildcards (Jan 16- Feb 22). Of course, this is not confirmed, just "likely".
  25. Week 12: 2/5 0* Overall: 33/60 (55%) 3*
