Week 11: 3/5 0* Overall: 27/55 5* How about some Edam cheese, covered in wax (just for you, Icarus!).

Ugh! FJ: So easy in retrospect! And mythology is one of my strong suits :( My TS was: You Shook Me All Night Long. Not a good night.

Last year's CJ! champ can't be in this year's ToC, but the other players in this year's ToC are set (and yes, there will still be a series of Wild Card games to get in). https://thejeopardyfan.com/2024/11/32nd-toc-field-confirmed-lisa-ann-walter.html (scroll down the article to see the ToC list).

As well as anyone who isn't Olivia Benson at SVU---she can do the job (and tries to) all by herself!

Week 10: 4/5 2* (curse the Highlands) Overall: 24/50 (48%) 5*

So, you know the FBI is after you. Do you (a) run & set up operations elsewhere, killing all your prisoners/workers (after all, you have killed already) (b) run & set up operations elsewhere, leaving behind all your prisoners/workers (since they know nothing except your names as "C" & "D" (and the FBI already knows your names)) or (c) stick around beating up those workers trying to find "the mole" (which accomplishes, what? So you discover it was just an accident that the pre-programmed number belongs to an FBI agent? What are you going to do---investigate each number to make sure it doesn't belong to Law Enforcement?) That's right--the criminals choose option c, after, of course, going to pick up another shipment of bags---the one piece of evidence to tie you to this operation. BTW, the wife was so concerned that if their accomplice got caught with the body he would flip on them. Gee, I don't remember the FBI even questioning him. And, when someone noticed cameras at the building and says "should I destroy them", did Remy actually say "No, they'll know we're coming" Right, destroying the cameras will alert them, but a half dozen people with a big "FBI" on their chests will go unnoticed.

There is a return date for CJ! (season 3). Yes, I know it has its own thread, but since the winner will be in the ToC, I put it here too. Jan 8th https://tvline.com/news/the-rookie-season-7-premiere-date-will-trent-abc-1235376116/

Week 9: 2/5 Overall: 20/45 3* I was like that with France. I'm reminded of something on "Murder She Wrote". Jessica is talking to a detective and says "Did it occur to you that {whatever}?" Detective: "It crossed my mind". Jessica: "Well the next time it crosses your mind, stop it halfway!". If only France had stopped.

The new group of "Second Chancers": https://thejeopardyfan.com/2024/11/season-41-second-chance-field-revealed.html The list includes links to recaps of their game, in case you want to try to figure out why they were selected. No actual airdate yet, other than the vague "Dec/Jan" (apparently the episodes are being filmed now).

Three Frenchmen to boot!

Week 8: 3/5 Overall 18/40 3* Oh, and Zoey? It's only week 8 so you'd have 14/40 (not 50)--a little better than you thought.

The thing is, I understand the principal not wanting/can't grab the child. But, while he did search the kid's locker, it doesn't look like he even asked to look inside the backpack! Grabbing a kid is one thing. Grabbing a backpack is another. Furthermore, while the cops did a "good faith effort" to find the kid's foster mother/"interested adult", they should have contacted his PO or CPS, who could have served as an "interested adult". If the kid was 15/16, I could understand the "we'll talk to him without an adult". But 13?!

Also, new this season, win 3 duels in a row and get a 5-second time boost. You choose which duel you want to use it on and you'll get 50 sec (instead of 45).

What about the "attempted murder" charges for (a) potentially killing the husband (b) trying to kill the other doctor (c) the other doctor's family??

Week 7: 0/5 Overall: 15/35 3* Really not my day today: Not only did I not get FJ (earning me my first 0/5 week this season), but I didn't get Wordle (3rd day in a row), only 2 rows in Connections, and 1:33 on the (timed) mini crossword (I often do under 30 seconds and certainly under a minute normally). Sigh.

Week 6: 3/5 0* Overall: 15/30 (yeah! finally 50%) 3*

And it kind of was---FBI International just did a "foreigners fly to America, commit crimes, then fly back home" storyline. In that case instead of someone being raped. I believe that gang was based in Hungary instead of Albania.

Her name is Elsie, not Elsa. So, you still would have been wrong :)

Week 5: 3/5 2* Overall: 12/25 3*. You know, since there were 3* this week and I got 2, I'll bring meatloaf since "Two out of Three Ain't Bad" .

It might depend on where he's from. One season there was a contestant who lived in Scotland---I doubt he went home every week. Depending on where they live, it might be cheaper/more convenient to just rent a flat for a couple of months nearby.

Anyone else think "The Perfect Man" wasn't actually all that good looking? Or was that the point? BTW, it seems like they took away most of Elizabeth Marvell's (the defense attorney) lines and gave them to Benson. She (EM) seem to say very little. She said, what one word?, during the "take the deal" meeting. She was the attorney, not Benson! She should have been the one pressing to take the deal! The defendant didn't even bother consulting her attorney, just Benson.
