Because outside of the police officers, the rest of the groups you mentioned do not face the risk of death whenever they go to work.

And that is the very reason I can't stand him. Like it or not, it's because of the men and women who have served their country that he has the freedom to shoot his mouth off. I have often wondered if he was forced to go live in a war zone for a year if he would be so forthcoming with his comments considering that he could be shot by some terrorist who disagreed with him. I hate war plain and simple. What I hate even more though is people who haven't been there running their mouths negatively about the people who have or are currently serving in the military.

I saw that in the theater as well, although I'm Catholic I can't watch that movie again. I do know people who watch it every year on Good Friday. The brutality of it about did me in, I about had to go outside halfway through but didn't. My experience at the end wasn't silence though, more like the sound of people who were or had been weeping.Edited because my phone is annoying.

This is easily one of the best movies that I have ever seen. It's not a war movie. It's a movie about what war does to the human psyche and to the families of the people who have been to war. I'm 53 years old and have probably seen roughly 600 movies in a theater in my lifetime. I have NEVER had a movie end and people got up to leave and you could have heard a pin drop. I have friends who live in Kansas City, NYC, Dallas, Denver, Oregon and California and every single one of them said the exact same thing happened at their theaters. If a single movie managed to get that reaction in all those places it's truly something special. As far as Michael Moore goes, when he goes and serves a few tours of duty, then and only then can he come back and shoot his mouth off.

I absolutely love it and I don't give a rats ass about plausibility. I am here to be entertained and thus far I have been so I am good to go. I do wish we could have kept Perlman simply because he's just a perfect villain for Red to play off of.

I have come to the conclusion that Abbey's cheese is sliding off her cracker big time. She would have never been caught on camera the way she was in this episode.

S03.E11: I'm Not That Good At Goodbye

You and me both, I have been seriously missing this show and I am oh so happy that they are back! -
So much awesomeness tonight. First of all, I am team Cookie always and forever. Anika is indeed a boojee hoe who thinks that she's just as bad ass as Cookie when she's not even in the same hemisphere. Andre is a cold hearted dick but I really think that he wasn't expecting things to go south the way they did. His concern about Jamal getting shot seemed genuine. Tianna is no man's fool, she's bound and determined to be a star no matter how many bodies she has to step on to get there. Still hating Rhonda because I think she's seriously lacking in morals and probably a soul as well. The second Lucious showed up at Cookie's door I knew exactly what was going to be revealed and T Henson knocked that scene right out of the park. As always, I loved all the music and to be honest I was a little heartbroken to see Jamal and Hakeem's relationship shatter. As always, I can't wait for next week's episode. One more thing, I love W Snipes, but T Howard is Lucious through and through. I saw an interview with Jussie Smollett and he said that he had to audition 7 times before he landed the role of Jamal. I'm dying to know who else was strongly looked at for that role.

I would add to this list and include the second Ironman movie because that's where the Black Widow program first shows up.

Cast in Other Roles: I Don't Think We're in Nashville Anymore

Lordy, I need a cold shower after that! Very nice. -
I liked it as well. I also seriously hope that Freya doesnt kill Elijah. I almost saw a tiny little touch of humanity in Klaus when Jackson wanted him to promise to take care of Haley and her wolves.
-
I had a feeling that was going to happen, I set the dvr to run 60 minutes past the end of the show. You and me both!

Bahaha! Doesn't anyone else on the planet watch TV to just be entertained? I sometimes feel so totally alone because I don't care if all the pieces fit together perfectly, or if the costuming and the history lines up with fact. I don't care, I want to sit down and just enjoy myself for an hour. Hell with plausibility. I am with this show until the end and I hope that doesn't come for several years.

No, but it was so much awesome Red Redington that it didn't matter at all.

I seem to remember reading that the character of Leo is based on a real life guy and his hospital experiences.

And this little show that I love comes back and I am pissed all over again that they cancelled it. I believe that was a brain scan wasn't it?

I finally got last night's episode watched, and boy howdy is that coach from the Divas of Olive Branch a piece of work. You can not possibly expect to bring up Dianna's past on television and then not think that all hell is going to rain down on your ass. Stupid much? Also, her team was trash talking during the Dolls last stand. If one of my dance teams had ever pulled that shit, I would have yanked them from the competition myself. I have to be honest though and say that Dianna's stunt where she mimed dropping her pants was disappointing.

Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta - General Discussion
missbonnie replied to ShaNaeNae's topic in Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta
We live in Kansas, 7 years ago my daughter got married in a Maggie Sottero ballgown that was on sale for $500 at a bridal store in Kansas City. I loved the dress. That being said, when my son got married a year and a half ago, my daughter-in-law's mom bought her a Pninna ballgown (not a stripper gown) with a beautiful veil and her mom paid $9000.00 on SALE at Klienfelds in NYC! I about died and was glad that I wasn't the one paying for it. However, when I saw it in person it was quite beautiful and the quality of the work was very evident. What happened to the blonde gal who was always on the Atlanta show? -
That's where I have been keeping up with her. She looks like she's having a blast. With regard to your last comment about money, isn't it always when it comes to big business? And reality TV is indeed big business. Also, I agree with you to a certain extent RedheadZombie . I know that I have commented that because of the way this show is all about Maddie it's made me have an irrational dislike for a young girl who has irl done nothing to me to deserve it. Gah, I really need to stop watching this dreck.

I was pretty much over this show and got sucked back in this season. However the shit the writers put out there tonight just freed up another hour for me on Thursday nights. I will probably lurk around here to see if there's anything worth watching but Damon freeing Kai was beyond stupid for a character that actually had the most brains when it came to dealing with danger. So sick of the Delana it reminds me of the Clana on Smallville which was also gag worthy. I hope the rumors are true and that Dobrev leaves after this season, maybe then we can get back to business. It blows my mind how terrible this show has gotten while The Originals just gets better every week in my opinion.

A show that was off the rails do a great job of getting back on track. I loved every single minute of it.

They did indeed, I think she has a huge heart and that's why I miss her so much. I also totally understand why she left, she hung in there as long as she could. From earlier interviews Abbey made it quite clear that she despised Christi which I could totally get, but she also disliked Chloe immensely and to this day I am mystified about that. There's just nothing I've ever read or seen to support her treatment towards Chloe. I don't get it.
-
Tessa, I totally agree with what you said. I was just finishing up a long post and my phone ate it and I don't have time to retype it now. Long story short, I was a cheer and dance team coach for a high school for 5 years and it was the cheer and dance mommy's behavior that caused me to quit. So I can totally see your points are very valid. And I do still follow Chloe via YouTube and she's at least much happier and she has the love of dancing back and I think that is the best thing of all.
-
I am not seeing this. Everyone that I know that watches or watched the show was or is, myself included, missing Chloe. Period. Brooke and Paige don't have what it takes to be on this kind of twisted show, couldn't dance their way out of a paper bag and had zero personality. Everyone is in total agreement that thank God Kellie and her button pushing buddy Christi are gone. Of course that's just the opinion of the people I know, harsh but true. That's not to say that we don't all also think that ALM is missing a few fries from her happy meal.

See, this is exactly how I viewed it and my sister thought that it was too slow as well. I just can't get on board with Andre's wife though. I mean damn that Lucious is one cold hearted bastard to be all giving Cookie words she I think needs to hear from him and yet next week he proposes to Anika? As low as that is, I think it's a couple of hundred feet up from the pond scum that is Rhonda. As of right now, in my opinion, she serves no useful purpose on this show. Of course, as always, YMMV. One more thing, I loved Judd Hirsch tonight.
