I mean, in a world where RKK isn't a creep -- imagine if we had had a Bo recast who was as good as RKK (not as indelibly "Bo" as PR but still really interesting and compelling) and imagine if he'd also been a respected and well-liked co-worker and not, you know, dating a teenager. Now imagine this hypothetical Bo recast returning to the role after PR retired. We'd still have a Bo -- one that would be accepted by the audience -- and the show would be better for it.

I'm surprised Marci Miller didn't come back on contact. And I'm still confused as to why Brandon Barash doesn't have one. I understand wanting to keep contracts to a minimum, but those are leading roles.

Also I believe if Maggie and Marlena are ever seen in the same place at the same time, a gaping hole in space-time rips through Salem. I'm sorry. I don't make the rules.

Sarah and the mother of the bride (Hope) are first cousins. Not that I can recall them having a scene together.

I LOVE this idea, and would humbly pair it with Melissa Archer should have been Sarah.

Kayla bought a condo that in my mind (and maybe in the show?) is in Marlena and John's building, as it's a redressed version of their living room with a kitchen stuck on it. I think it's cute! I do miss the larger set she had with Steve. But in this economy?

Drake should just have remained Roman. And I say that as someone who preferred Wayne.

Allie didn't know Sonny? Sonny has been in town (and prominent in Will's life) for 10 years! Have Sami and the kids been out of Salem for 10 years? Even throwing in the SORAS? Also we're willing to believe these off-screen characters keep in touch during their absences (Facetime?) as long as you don't write dumb lines like, "Sonny seems great."

The disrespect that Bryan Dattilo has to put up with from this show... They forgot to include him in today's end credits. Allie was there, with the recurring. But Lucas was missing.

How's this for an unpopular opinion? I think Orpheus could have been Hope's next love interest. Hear me out. In rescuing John and Marlena, Hope gravely injures Orpheus, leaving him paralzed, with memory loss and seeming vulnerable. Hope feels so guilty she takes responsibility for his care, eventually taking him in. They grow closer, as they commiserate over guilt over past misdeeds. The rest of the town thinks she's nuts... Later, does his memory return?

I'm enjoying the Allie story! It's bringing together lots of characters I like. And Eric. My one quibble is that if I were Allie I'd totally run to my cool gay big brother who lives in a mansion than, well, Eric.

I still can't believe Melissa Archer wasn't cast as Sarah Horton. I mean, put her next to Maggie! And she's actually the right age for the character! The actress they did cast is good, but she could have played someone else. Stephanie, maybe.

Isn't Hope the product of her mother's relationship with her own daughter's boyfriend? That would be quite a callback.

Take me to the universe where KdP is playing Blair on a Ron-written General Hospital and has been since she crossed over with Todd. Some people think the Blair/Todd/Anna triangle is eating the show but most fans think Ron's been on a roll ever since Sonny was murdered by all those people on the Port Charles Express. Also, Charlotte Ross is killing it as Eve on Days.

I understand that this sort of thing is flexible in Salem, but Giles and Greg are pretty much the same age!

I still think the most interesting Hernandez was the sister that died. I really liked that actress.

So I'm watching for the first time in a while. What's happened with Victor & Maggie? They seem to have vanished. Also -- are they completely glossing over the fact that Deimos caused Bo's death?

I know young William was played by a younger actor last night. But am I imagining that Ron Cephas Jones played younger William at some point?

Does anyone agree that they shot the Duke death scenes in such a way that if they wanted to, they could say that he came to and that Patrick helped him... whatever (fake his death, go into witness protection...)?
