  1. Something I was wondering is why we went straight into day four. I thought we were always taken back to camp to see the fallout from the vote. Maybe with two tribes voting they decided not to do this. Just a heads up I will probably bring up Aussie Survivor in my posts a lot, so if anyone gets sick of me talking about it I am sorry but it really is the better version of the game right now. Anyway, they do the same thing on Australian Survivor as well, meaning they take you directly into the next day at the start of each new episode. Which kind of sucks because there were a lot of surprising votes during the last season of Aussie Survivor so it would have been great to see people's raw reaction to what happened when they got back to camp. I felt the same way. I was looking down at my tablet and I heard him talk in a confessional and I was like, "Holy hell this guy's voice is annoying as fuck." Oddly enough I did not notice it the first week. That's what I got out of it as well but even though her paranoia was based in something that could be true, she just seemed way over the top about it. If I was in an alliance with her that would have been my cue to drop her because she just did not seem to want to listen to reason. Also to add to what you said, once again I will bring up the previous season of Australian Survivor. My memory is a bit hazy but if I recall correctly at one point there were three, possibly four active Idols in the game at once. There were two tribal Idols and then a third Idol floating around. So like you said, Tiffany's paranoia might have had some credibility behind it. The breaking the 4th wall/clue for kids was only brought up in the first episode by Jeff, to my knowledge that is. They just showed the clue this episode. This made me laugh far more than it probably should have. So thank you. Invoking Dee Snider's name always gets a laugh out of me. I am not sure if what I am saying should be posted here or the media thread. But it might help shed some light on the vote so I will post it here. I was reading an article on Yahoo where they interviewed Voce. He said that when Evvie returned from the thing with DeShawn there was only about five to ten minutes to go before the tribe left for TC. He said he had no time to even talk to Evvie because her time was being taken up by the women. Voce also said that Evvie tried to get Tiffany to vote for Xander but Tiffany would not budge. Also, Voce said that the tribe was five strong when it came to the vote the previous week and they were all really close even heading into this week's vote. He said he thought the women might form an all-women's alliance but he thought the logical target for such an alliance would be Xander. He also stated that there was talk among the five of them to do an Intentional Matsing. For those not familiar with the strategy here is someone explaining it on Reddit... So the member of that tribe were already discussing throwing challenges in order to implement that strategy at this point in the game. Voce also said that he and Xander sort of knew each other prior to being on the show together as they worked out at the same gym a few years ago. One last thing he touched upon was Xander's vote. I am not sure if this was really explained on the show or not, I don't think it was but I might not have been paying attention. So with Xander losing his right to vote he is also not allowed to use his extra vote (Which was said on the show) and he is also not allowed to do the die mini-game either. Because if you do not have your primary vote then you forfeit your rights to any other voting advantage. Which, it seems obvious but I don't recall that being said on the show.
  2. I liked that storyline as well and thought it was well written. This alien storyline thus far just was not well written. Though I do say upon further review I do lean more towards liking the 1950's portion and not like the present day portion of last night's episode. I did not know that it is only going to be four episodes long. I am pretty sure I can force myself to watch four episodes of this crap. I think that was about when I tapped out on Hotel (The only season I stopped watching entirely.). I agree Kaia is just bad at acting. Part of why I think this, and it really is not her fault, is her voice is kind of annoying and very bland. Sort of like the female version of Ben Stein. Granted I was not expecting much out of her anyway and I did roll my eyes when I saw they had cast Cindy Crawford's daughter in this.
  3. I legit just found out this was coming back when someone brought it up in the episode thread for Survivor. This just went off the air like three weeks ago, I wonder if that is the quickest turnaround for a television show. I thought for sure this would come back mid-season.
  4. I mean people like Mel Gibson and Nick Cannon, so her winning AFP does not make her or the other members of the Cookout any less racist or less discriminatory. Just like it doesn't make the above mentioned guys any less racist because people like them. Daniel Carver was in the actual KKK and members of the the Howard Stern audience loved the guy (I never got the appeal of a racist old dude, but yeah people in the audience liked the guy.). People are odd. Plus the Big Brother audience, or at least the online audience, tends to have more SJW viewpoints (I hate to use that term. That being said, what other term can be used to describe people who say nutty things like, "Any all-white alliance in Big Brother history was formed because of white supremacy."). I don't recall if the actual show showed Tiffany saying she would not vote for a white person to win. I don't think they did, so if that is the case maybe the mainstream audience did not see get to see the full Tiffany. They just saw the woman who gave funny diary room reactions. Hell they protected Amanda for as long as they could without showing her nasty side. Then they threw her to the wolves when they realized she was bat shit insane and they couldn't protect her any longer. For once I was correct about the winner. I feel like Nostradamus. I had a feeling week one he or Kyland (I was leaning more towards X) would win and one of them would take Derek F. to the finals and beat him. The one season I didn't watch all the way through and I picked the winner week one and the other finalist. The intersectionality crowd must have really been going nuts over this final. Because while yes an African American won the show, it was a man. So the patriarchy was still granted yet another Big Brother victory.
  5. Yeah what was up with his voice? He sounded like the late Johnny Most (He was the voice of the Boston Celtics for decades and he had a very raspy voice from years of smoking). I thought the same thing about them saying they were not smart. I am not sure I would want either of them operating on me...but hey I am not smart either. I hate to say I co-sign but yeah, I co-sign. As I say below, getting rid of Xander is perfectly logical and Evvie would have perfect cover for why she made such a move. However, getting rid of Voce...well who knows how they will spin that one. It will be interesting. This, I mean I would not have had a problem with them voting out Xander because the logic was there for such a vote. But to vote out Voce? What the blue hell? I mean I guess there was some sort of logic but it is like listening to a crazy person and following their instructions. Sure it makes sense to them because they are out of their mind, but any sane person probably should not follow that logic. Yet they did. That is only for the viewers at home and more specifically aimed at the younger viewers. It is all part of the "break the fourth wall" theme of the season. I do like the little mini-videos they are doing with the contestants this season so we can get a little backstory about them. They do something similar on Australian Survivor, though on there the videos are much longer, and to me it really helps me to invest in the contestants more. It has been a bit since I watched the earlier seasons but I thought they did something like that back then. If that is the case I wonder why they decided to bring it back. What would also be nice is if they brought back the opening credits. That is another thing that Aussie Survivor does and it really does help me remember people faster. I mean thus far out of this cast I only remember who Liana, Xander, Naseer, Tiffany, Evvie, JD, Ricard, and Brad are just based off seeing them. I don't really know any of the others by name or visually. That is probably more a me problem, but still having opening credits would help me out greatly. I understand why they were cut but still.
  6. Never change AHS. You give me a pretty good first half of the season. I say pretty good because I was not fond of how the story ended, I am not sure how they should have ended it but I was not crazy with how they did end it. Anyway as I was saying, you gave me a pretty good first story only to follow it up with this steaming pile of horse crap. What the hell did I just watch? Was it supposed to be horror? A parody of a 1950's scifi movies? Was it supposed to be funny? I don't know the answers to any of those questions. All I do know was, what I watched just a few minutes ago was not very good. Granted I will stick it out and watch, at the very least, one more episode. But if tonight's episode is any indication of what to expect from this season...well then AHS has once again failed.
  7. They do this every season. It is the one part of Australian Survivor where I feel it is inferior to the American version. Though overall I actually like Australian Survivor a lot more than the American version. What I mean by, they do this every season is, they tend to do pointless twists to make the game longer. Like the Dead Man Walking twist or last year's twist where the people voted out post-jury went to Redemption Island or whatever it was called and they had a chance to get back into the game. It just gets annoying because the season is long enough, there is no need to extend it due to extra twists. Was there a Reunion Show this year? The site that I watch the show on did not have one up. While I would have rather have had George win, I am perfectly fine with Hayley winning. I think both played great games. If I am being honest, if I was on the jury I probably would have voted for Hayley because I think she did the better job of explaining her game. Though I would probably not place much importance on Immunity wins, unless they were absolutely need like when Mike won his season on the American version. Having not watched any of their Jury villa segments, I thought the jury was going to be very pro-Hayley. Therefore, I was not shocked when she won. I do not believe that Dani's vote was ever up in the air like she said it was. Overall, I thought it was a good season. Maybe not as good as last year's but still better than most of the recent American seasons.
  8. Sorry I did not read what you wrote correctly. It became painfully obvious after the other responses. I thought you were talking about audience appeal, not why they appeal to the other contestants. 😄 So in regards to my previous post...
  9. Well I don't like guys so I don't know if Devin is thought of as hot. But I do find women attractive and Nany is the textbook definition of hot. Though the fact that she used/still might, smoke drops her hotness down for me. Devin also had the whole Johnny's foil thing going for him as well.
  10. I've watched this show since the start and for some reason I am only able to retain the name of characters from the first two seasons. After that, unless you did something huge, I have no clue who half these people are. Even Alden, I had no idea what his name was. He has been on a ton of episodes and I never retained his name until tonight. I don't know if that says something about my memory or I just do not give a shit about the newer characters. Maybe it is a combination of both.
  11. Damn I missed that. I was playing a game on my tablet and thought, "I don't need to look up at the screen to see these two buffoons arguing."
  12. As others have pointed out, I think it is because she won and he did not. Granted that was his fault but when you have an ego the size of his, well sometimes you can't see the clouds from the trees (I totally did not mean to sound like Dr. Phil right there.). Also the core of that alliance was and always will be Fessy, Josh, and Kaycee. Amber, as she realized, is just a number to Fessy and Kaycee. I do think Josh actually likes Amber and wants to work with her and it is not just because of her being one of the best female athletes on the show. Plus Fessy and Kaycee are probably always going to have each other's backs even over Josh because they were on the same season of Big Brother and people tend to form stronger bonds with people who they were in the fox hole with so to speak. I have to say, Amber looked crazy hot in that blue dress at the club. She always looks good, but that was just next level. I went from not liking Kyle when he first showed up to having him be one of my favorite players. I love how he will snake anyone and often without any reason and he does give some of the funnier talking heads.
  13. Which you are entitled to do so, I would never tell anyone who disagrees with me that they are not allowed to have a different opinion. It happened to me on here before and I am not cool when people say stuff like that. To me it is a agree to disagree sort of deal, nothing that has been posted on this topic has even remotely swayed my opinion on the subject and I am pretty sure the same can be said about people who disagree with what I am saying. As to the second thing you said, the way I look at it is this. There was/still is a need for the NAACP. I am not blind, I do fully understand that racism still is around it will sadly always be around. I personally never understood why people automatically hate people who do not look like them or are different than them. I will say in America at the very least I just do not think racism is as near pervasive as some would like us to think it is. Obviously women's colleges are not sexist as there was absolutely a need for them. Though I do question if there is still a need for them in the modern day (I would say that about all men's schools as well. I am sure there are still some all boys prep schools out there.). In regards to the CO, there was no need for the alliance to be formed. If I was a betting man I would think Xavier (I picked him as the winner week one.) and Kyland would have made it deep into the game with or without that alliance. The two of them are just likable. Derek F. I am less sure of, because I will be honest I cannot see beyond my dislike of him to give a non-biased opinion of him. Tiffany probably would still have made it deep as well because she is someone who can connect with pretty much anyone. Hannah and Azah I am less sure about. Azah seems for lack of a better term, a little too mousey to me. Maybe she changed since I watched the show but she just seemed like she lacked the killer instinct and had she not been part of the alliance, I could easily see her being cannon fodder at the start of the game. Hannah just does not seem to have a good poker face and I think that is something that could have bitten her in the ass had she not had built-in protection. Granted those are just my reads from what I saw, I could be off or misreading stuff. Also, due to the events of last year I think it is safe to say that a lot of the non-black houseguests would have been guy shy in even nominating a black housguest. So had the CO alliance not formed, a lot of the members of the alliance might have coasted through the game for that reason alone. But I will say I do think the members of the alliance are racist because they actively discriminated against people due to the color of someone's skin. That's about as racist as one can get. People can try to spin it as much as they want talking about historical wrongs and what have you but at the end of the day if you do discriminate against someone due to skin you are racist. I felt that way when it happened to Candice and Howard (Yes I fully understand the situations were different but both situations are wrong either way) and I feel that way now. I fully understand people disagree with my line of thinking and that is okay. As I said, I will never be one to tell anyone they are not allowed to think a certain way. Well anyway I am not even watching this season anymore so I shall once again go radio silent. I am off to watch Australian Survivor, which I do highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of American Survivor. There is this guy named George who everyone keeps on trying to vote off and somehow he manages to dodge the bullet time and time again. I hope those who continue to watch enjoy this season and may your favorite person win. Regardless of everything I said above I still would like to see Xavier win. Mainly because the person I have picked to win never has won and I want to be right just once.
  14. But does it prove it? Remember they are being filmed 24/7, was there evidence that any of the jury that season voted against Danielle due to racial prejudices? Or did they vote against her because she was nice to their faces and a total asshole to them in her DR sessions? If they did vote against her due to racial prejudices, would we not have heard about that by now? I am not willing to agree that prejudice was a contributing factor to her loss when, to my knowledge, there is no evidence to back it up in the nineteen years since it happened. If there is evidence I would happily retract my statement. None of us can read anyone else's mind and so without evidence to the contrary, I am not willing to condemn someone as being racist just because I "feel" they might be. Also, I do not consider everyone of one skin color being inherently biased against anyone who is not like them as evidence because I do not agree with that line of thinking. When looking at the history of the show I am more than comfortable saying GinaMarie, Aaryn, Jack (Not F.B.I. Jack, talking about Aquaman lookalike), and Jackson (They are the ones who come to my mind right away) do at the very least hold racist views and are probably all racist. This is due to their actions on the show. I would say that the members of the CO are racist as well. Once again I am basing this on their actions on the show. When you have Derek F. saying he will not vote for a white person to win, that is racist no matter how much people might try to spin it and say it is not. Mainly because discrimination based on skin color is racist regardless of ones reasons for said discrimination or the color of ones skin (Meaning yes people who are not white can be racists against white people. No matter how much activist want to change the definition of the word so they can have a free pass to be racist.). I really hope that future seasons don't turn into Big Brother: Race War but I have a feeling that is exactly what might happen. I foresee next season people trying to stamp out any chance of an all-black alliance forming just like they do with any all-female alliance. As I said previously, I have given up watching this season. I only check the Live Feed highlights to see who was voted out and who is HOH (Because I can't totally quit.). I simply don't want to see yet another season where one dominate alliance bulldozes everyone. We already had one known racist win the show in Jackson and by the looks of it, it would appear we will have two when whatever member of the CO wins.
  15. I hope you are not lumping Danielle R. in that group because her loss had to do with her own cockiness/possible lack of awareness and not the color of her skin. Had she just thought things through and realized that people were going to see her diaries and they were not going to be happy with what she said about them. I think there would have been a very good chance she would have been the first black winner of the show. Granted I don't know for a fact but I think had she just been a little nicer in the diary room, people would have respected her game enough to give her the win. I think Lisa's win was pretty much an anti-Danielle message and clearly the producers felt the same way due to the formation of the sequestered jury.
  16. Right now I think I would only be happy if either Hayley or George won the game. Maybe Dani as well, but I don't know I have not liked her since the start so while I think she's played a good game. I really would not be thrilled with her winning. The rest of the cast just seem to be there. They are just not doing much or at least not being flashy enough for me. I had to laugh at Andrew being butt hurt at George's betrayal. You and your alliance treated this guy like crap at the start of the game. He kept you in the game through his moves, sure they helped his game as well but still. Andrew should be happy that George and Cara chose to keep on working with him even though he treated them like outcasts. Same sort of goes for Emmett as well. How is Emmett annoyed at George betraying him, when that was what Emmett had planned on doing to George and Cara all along. I mean shit, he even said he was going to use them to pick off the other Brains and then turn on them.
  17. Thank you for filling in the blanks for me. I hate when I fall asleep during shows and I am left wondering what happened. It happened to me with the Titans last week as well, lucky for me HBO Max allows me to FF through the episode. Yes I saw the part with Billie (Sp?) were she gave the male lead his fangs. Don't tell me that happened in the middle of when I was napping and I woke up just for that part. lol
  18. I really hate to admit this but how did this episode end? I fell asleep at the very end and had a micro nap, I woke up right as the replay of the first episode was starting. I saw the little girl take the pill and that was the last thing I recall. I don't have a DVR and watching it on ONDemand is massive pain in the ass because you have to sit through the entire episode again as you are not allowed to FF. I thank anyone in advance who can tell me. I really this concept thus far and the fact that it is a mini-series gives me hope that it will not suffer the fate of a lot of previous AHS seasons where they fall apart in the middle.
  19. The thing is, she's from Survivor originally (I think she was on Romanian Survivor, though I am not sure), I don't know if she won or not. Therefore she should be used to cutthroat game play. Unless that is not how Survivor is played over there. The one and only time I liked Josh was when he beat Paul in Big Brother. Other that that, I think Josh is a bully and dumb as shit.
  20. I was thinking something similar when I was watching the show. My thought was about Wai and how she was getting a lot of confessionals at the start of the game and now it is like she isn't even part of the show. Sadly for me the site I watch the show on doesn't always put up full episodes or they may skip an episode completely. For instance the Baden episode was not put up at all so when I started watching what I thought was the next episode I missed, I was confused by Baden being out of the game. Obviously I realized that the episode he was voted out in was not posted so yeah I am missing parts of this season and it is making it less enjoyable for me.
  21. Her laugh sounded like Robert Carradine's laugh in Revenge of the Nerds. Side note, I remember when I first realized that Robert was the brother of David and Keith my mind was blown. Mainly due to the characters I saw them play, but still I always find it hard to believe that three of them are brothers. I remember Fessy being pretty devout on Big Brother and him talking about fasting during Ramadan leads me to think that he is. But last season I thought he was commenting about drinking at the bar when he got into the "Tutu fight" with CT. I thought that drinking alcohol was banned by the Muslim faith. Am I wrong in this? Emy can go at any time. She annoys me. If Kelz is going to continue to savage Josh like he did tonight, they can bring him back for as many seasons as they want. Kelz's retort was brutal but hilarious. Esther bragging about being the first Nigerian to win a competition made me laugh. My reaction was, "Well you and Tacha are, to my knowledge, the first two Nigerian's to play the game. So it really is not that big of a deal." Also, how sad is it that this show only has five people from the Real World on it? There are more people from Big Brother (Counting the international versions) on the show.
  22. That was who I thought he was but I did not catch the name. Thank you. They really are burning through years and years of stuff with Tim Drake being involved in this season as well.
  23. Sorry if I am asking this in the wrong episode thread, but I watched all of the episodes at once and with the exception of the really big things, I honestly don't recall what happened in what episode. Onto my question, who was the kid whose family owned the restaurant? He obviously is going to be someone but I don't even recall them saying his name.
  24. I guess they are going for the Batman Beyond version, but even there he is more buff (For lack of a better term) than he is on this show.
  25. I just want to echo the whole wondering how long Jason was dead for. I honestly thought it would be a season long thing and he would become the Red Hood at or around the end of the season. But I guess that was not the way they wanted to take it. When Red Hood debuted in this episode I was like, "Well that was quick."
