  1. Wow, they were actually twin actresses ????? This show doesn't disappoint. I really loved both seasons, I definitely laughed out loud at least a few times each episode. I'm surprised it doesn't seem to have more of a following. I've been recommending it to all my friends.
  2. I completely agree. Reminds me a lot of The Comeback in this way - 2 seasons were perfect. There were so many times when I just lost it laughing at this show. Ms. Abbott was a hell of a character. I lost it when she released the Tiger, because of course that's what she did. While wearing a wedding dress. Well done, folks.
  3. FINALLY I have finished season 4, I have been waiting to be able to post here without getting spoiled. For whatever reason, I LOVED this show. I know it's OTT soap and Regina just chewed her way through scenery with so much camp - but the gorgeous wardrobe and beautiful Australian scenery carried me through. It even got me reading about the Italians in New South Wales in the 1950s, I guess that's a whole piece of history. When I looked at the credits I was interested to see crew with Australian sounding first names and Italian last names. Only minor complaints with the plot holes along the way. Like where did Sarah's Jewish friends in Inverness go when René was being buried? That was at least one man. Then there was the bitchy nurse at the hospital whose character went nowhere. Rose should have been dismissed around 50 times before getting to the end, which I didn't get because Elizabeth was so easily able to let go of Harry's cousin/sister (? I forget). How far away exactly is Inverness supposed to be from Sydney? Because Carolyn seemed to imply it was a world of distance, but everyone on this show is constantly running back and forth between Ash Park and Sydney like the two places are just over the river from each other. Every time someone gets a little bored, it's like, "I know! I have the perfect idea! Let's go to Sydney!" Yes, Sydney, now there's a change! On the other hand, I didn't mind a lot of the plot contrivances or small conveniences. Like how they'd say "I've called Gino and Anna to come to Ash Park to discuss this" and next scene there they are, having already had the "discussion" and moving on to whatever they are going to do about it. It did keep the pace up. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who was relieved when René kicked the bucket. That was going nowhere fast. I can also do without anymore Gino, unless his character changes. He's too homophobic and angry and chauvinist for me to like him that much. I do think the idea of him and Rose is interesting. I don't have a problem with Regina coming back Kimberly Shaw-style as long as they don't send her through the same hoops they already have. The policeman's death went nowhere interesting. I'm not even sure why they made that choice. I loved Elizabeth's character trajectory. Sarah's character was mostly OK with me, but as others have mentioned, she can be a bit much. She really reminds me of Claire from Outlander. They're even both nurses. 1st season Sarah was such a Mary Sue character - of course everyone would be in love with her and women would distrust her, etc. I liked it a lot when the story finally expanded beyond Sarah's world and the show became more than just about her. I wouldn't mind seeing Gordon Walsh move to Inverness and become a love interest for poor Olivia, or even for Anna. I wish we'd seen side-by-side scenes of him with both actresses to see how much chemistry they look like they may have had. Abby Earl looks super tall. Am I the only one who thought Bert's chained, rotted body was going to surface every time someone went swimming? Like the cadaver in the Poltergeist swimming pool. lol. Phew! Last, also agree that Season 4 finale could also have been the Series Finale - but I'm glad to hear it's coming back for season 5.
  4. Those sisters were too much. I'm trying to remember where I've seen the sister with the redder hair before. She's so familiar to me. This show is hysterical, I'm going to be sad when it's over. It's been such a good time.
  5. Absolutely true, but for some reason I don't feel glee at any of that. Has she reaped what she has sown? Yep. But it's nonetheless sad to see the dynamic between her kids and ex-husbands because that's not all about Leah ... it's about realizing way too late the house of cards you've built, that has so much collateral damage. Unless half (half? maybe being optimistic) of these teen moms get it together in some more measurable way, their kids are going to be very angry 13 year olds. And trust me, 13 is when the shit hits the fan. My money is on MTV cameras staying around for Leah vs. Amber. And Kaiser's going to be a shit-show of an angry teenager. You can see it now. He's also going to be HUGE.
  6. The scene in the car with Leah letting Addie call Jeremy was very telling. It's very hard when you're in a divorce situation to 1. See your child openly prefer the other parent at the moment, even as you're the one driving them around at the same time; and 2. to hear your ex saying the same loving things to your mutual child that they once said to you. Basically, as flawed as Leah is, it sucks to have to sit there between the whole thing being the chopped liver that no one wants anymore. (I thought her hair looked great, though - just felt kind of sad for her, her expression was so melancholy)
  7. My hot take on this episode (yes I'm just catching up with this show) is that even as a set of straight kids, having a 1st date mention "love" screams way, way too fast. And that's for kids who don't have that much of a complicated situation. Much less being filmed. That would have scared 10th grade me off completely. I love Jazz's friendship with Noelle. I wish Noelle will be able to find a place where she can show more joy. She comes across far too frequently as Eeyore, which makes me sad. Jazz is so much more animated. Noelle could even have her own show if she gained more confidence. She seems very intelligent and thoughtful, and has her own experience that is not at all the same as the one Jazz is going through. But even if she doesn't get her own show and merely becomes Jazz's recurring friend, I'm good with that. She is actually quite attractive, with lovely bone structure. Back to the boyfriend, I have a friend with a son who is bisexual but who basically wants to be in a romantic relationship with a female for his life, but also is open to sexual relationships with men. He just doesn't want to marry a man. I get that there is a spectrum. I wish they had addressed how Alex believes he identifies. I get that this is intrusive, but hey, you are already on a show that is nationally broadcasting your date with a trans female, so make use of your time. Don't go halfway.
  8. Huh. I guess I'm in a minority but I really kind of liked this show ... sorry it won't be back if that's true. I would have watched it. Ashley had a lot of train wreck potential. I liked Daniel most. I feel kind of bad that this show had only one season and yet they felt it necessary to air Hannah's dad's drunken rant about never loving the mother of his kids and Hannah throwing shade at her stepmom, Ashley making it clear how miserable she is with Dennis, Catherine and Lyle and that awkward proposal etc. I'm guessing there's going to be some fallout with all these people long after this show is forgotten in Bravo's scrap heap. They didn't even get stardom out of it.
  9. I have wanted to like Ashley but this episode tipped me over the fence into just being exhausted by her. The poster who said she thinks she's Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink is 100% correct
  10. Re: Chelsea and Austin, their moment where they connected where his sister was named Kyle and her brother was named Kyle resonated. My SIL and BIL always say that a few dates in they knew they were supposed to be together because their birthdays were only 1 day off. Still married 16 years later.
  11. I am both relieved to hear that they were able to adopt again and that I'm not so far down the rabbit hole that I already knew this!
  12. Statistically, B&T were incredibly lucky to have a young white couple pick them in the first place. Notice that they've apparently never been able to adopt again. When you're in their position, until that adoption is final, you will literally go along with anything to avoid jeopardizing losing the baby and disrupting the process. I'm sure they weren't thrilled with the cameras, but as I said, people will do anything. Now they're stuck, unable to completely split off because now there's Nova, and in the end Nova is Carly's full blood sister, so they have to technically keep that door somewhat open. Carly will be a teenager soon with all sorts of feelings on the matter, I'm sure they are not looking forward to Carly rewatching this show, which you know she and all her friends will. I think they're doing the right thing for the moment, but I'm pretty sure they think of MTV as a cloud hanging over them every day. Getting back to C&T themselves, it struck me that Tyler just might want to get that 2nd child in with Catelynn while he can because he's subconsciously not sure how long he will be able to put up with his life under lock and key as Catelynn's husband. This "online boutique" is a distraction for the time being, but it's not going to do well, and there is no way Tyler has hung up the rest of his entire adult life just to sit around with Catelynn. It won't take long for him to figure out that every other teen mom's ex is still on the show, and that he doesn't actually need to stay with Catelynn to stay on the show, either. Tick Tock Tick Tock.
  13. Was Axe mad about Wendy taking that position because it mitigated Chuck's losses? Or because he didn't want any direct connection to Chuck and Rhoades Sr. ?
  14. My WTF moment arrived when he made his dad order the pizza the second he moved into his apartment, then wouldn't even give his dad a slice, but the middle finger instead. And yeah, he also reminded me of the Bjork stalker losing his mind on his home camera. So creepy. The Facebook update gave me a little sense of justice, if anyone deserves to be in distress and left with nothing for his foray into fame, it's Steven.
  15. Hi, old TwOP person here, took me a long while to get back out of lurkdom. I like the moderation here so much better, from what I can see. Anyway finally created an account. The whole "goodbye Jill video" was terrible, as someone else said, it's like Jim Bob is trying to prove to TLC he can produce his own show. WTF was that about "interviewing" Derrick like, "and Derrick, losing your dad at such a young age, how does this make you feel?" First of all, I can't imagine walking up to anyone who lost a parent and expecting them, on a day when they are supposed to catch a plane in a few hours, and asking them this kind of question. Second of all ... ok obviously they have decided they are going to start their own youtube channel and see what deals they can negotiate with viewership. However, tonight I first watched the Roloffs for the first time in an age (and I was a major participant on those threads) and - YES TLC I will watch these shows about Jeremy and Zach getting married and Molly and Jacob going to college. Side note: did TLC *fast track* any of this stuff? They seemed to do a lot of backstory and possible recreations ...
