Our long national nighmare is over! i thought that both Ariel and Gabi did well except that Gabi’s going on so long when Zach came out allowed him to sit there with his furrowed brow “oh no” look and not really answer any questions. As both Gabi and Ariel indicated there were two questions he needed to answer: first, why did he make her come out to get dumped into the mud and second, if he “had to be open and honest” about them sleeping together then why didn’t he tell Ariel? It is so clearly not about being transparent but trying to keep Kaity from being mad at him. If that’s it then own it. But they let him off the hook on those two things.

I would think that the early filming is probably why Charity rather than Ariel went home at 4. If they wanted Ariel they would have told him to flip it.

I think the big danger for Zach in terms of public reaction is how he and Jesse were joking around about “sex week” at WTA. Knowing how it played out with Gabi he seems really heartless. Because whether they slept together or not she clearly expected it to remain between them. I have seen reports that kaity was actually the first date and Gabi was the second but I don’t know how that works in terms of what we have seen.

But doesn’t the fact that it’s from a promo mean it’s wrong?

Honest question: what Gabi hate are you talking about? Maybe I have missed something but almost all the comments here have been about Zach and how he screwed things up. I don't think that people are blaming Gabi for the sleeping together. They might be commenting on her freaking out because she wasn't scheduled first but basically the through line here is that Zach a) shouldn't have made an announcement that there would be no sex b) if he made it should have kept to it c) if he didn't keep to it he shouldn't have humiliated Gabi by then blabbing on national tv about it because he was afraid that Kaity would find out. I believe that that's three strikes.

I guess he forgot his playbook on the date with Gabi.

Okay it is clear that Zach is an idiot (although Ariel should be thankful that he is). But I wonder if given that he is a mess if the following is possible: 1) at the beginning of celibacy week he really wasn’t sure between kaity and gabi. 2. Gabi starts to spiral. He is afraid she is going to quit. 3. He panics and like a doofus decides that he sleeps with her he will stay. 4. He panics (AGAIN) because now he is afraid kaity will find out and leave. 5. he gives in to guilt and tells her.

That could be. But I could see an alternate scenario: he sleeps with Kaity and then tells the other two. Kaity is upset because it should have been a private moment between the two of them instead of him blabbing about it to the others, Ariel is upset because she thought that they had a really "special" night and then she learns that Zach slept with Kaity which ruins her night, and Gabi is upset because Zach finally confesses that he doesn't like maple syrup.

Is that a spoiler? Seems reliable to me.

So what is the "speculation" (copyright this thread title) for the preview effort to make us think that the Z-Man sleeps with Ariel and then tells that to Gabi and Kaity. I mean does anyone really think that he is going to sleep with her and then send her home? (don't say anything Phlebus).

I think that they often mix up the order to disguise who the top choice really is. Considering that they were already planning out their house in the hometown maybe the producers thought that if he gave her the first rose everyone would stop watching (not that we have that much sense).

I think we overrate how much TPTB think.

Tbh, I don’t think that she thinks that she is that cool—which is one of the differences between her and Emily. I think she was brought up to be reserved and think before she speaks. I know a lot of people like that. It’s just unusual for this show. Plus she is very attractive. 🙄

If the news that Ariel and Gabi are going on BIP is true then i think that must be the case. I can’t imagine anyone turning down the lead and then going on BIP. And Kat wasn’t going to get the offer after the editing job they did on her.

As much as I enjoy Ariel in a bathing suit I’m disappointed that she agreed to BIP. Unless she is planning on making them film in one of the buildings she is planning on buying in NYC

If they do make it at WTA then it most likely will be Charity won't it. The person would have to be off the season by then and she doesn't make it to the final three I don't think. The only hope for Ariel is if they wait till ATFR.

I have hopes that Ariel might not be willing to go to Paradise. She has a real job and a brain. And they could have had a whole season of international travel to bathhouses if they wanted her in a bikini all the time.
