  1. I fucking hated Cody and wish he'd never come back from his first eviction. He comes across like a real douche and that walking on the table was ridiculously immature. Even though I don't like her much either I will say this: "Run, Jessica, run!"
  2. Yeah, I feel very much like one of The Ten ... basically anyone, anywhere talking about how fucking great this show is!
  3. Having them talk about John John and Diana was kind of heartbreaking, to be honest. Other than that, I loved it. I didn't know this was going to be on today and when it started i felt like i walked into a strange little time capsule.
  4. i swear, i thought the mother of the vet was going to stroke out!
  5. About two years ago Matt Barker walked by me on Church St. I noticed him from about a block or so away and like whenever I see someone famous (a handful of times) I fist think it's a person I know from my past and then, quickly, it clicks and I realize it's someone well known. He was very sharply dressed and was much taller than I thought he was for some reason.
  6. Caitlyn lost me (for the 1ooth time or so) when she said that this camp that was helping lgbtq youth was going to pay her "a substansial fee" for her presence I thought ... really? you couldn't have just donated what sounded like a weekend of your life in the first place? Oh ... Catilyn. That could be a sitcom and kate borstein could play sticom caitlyn.
  7. film noire pretty much summed up my feelings about this episode (and beautifully written, i might add). melissa leo is such a great actor and I hope she gets an emmy nomination for her work in this show.
  8. I know! I actually screamed for joy when I saw it in Netflix .... then I screamed again in horror when I saw it was Season 8. I watched it again though and as I've almost entirely forgotten it there were some things that I remember now with affection like the divine Chi Chi DeVayne, the artistry of Kim Chi and ... what else? Oh David and Amy Sedaris as judges who have fucking watched the show and fucking get it (as did Chris Stein and Debbie Harry). I don't get why it's only Season 8 but, as Fex said: "...I'll take it!"
  9. This is only my second post to this forum as I really quite despised Episode 1 and thought Lange was ridiculous casting. At that time Susan sounded nothing like Bette and the only character I had my eye on was Mamacita. That said; I stuck with it anyway. I knew that no matter how good/campy/serious/funny/insane it got, I'll be there. Where there is now a Lange who's breaking my heart as my darling Miss Joan Crawford. Susan is good as Bette and is actually getting better every episode. I loved her scene with the 'Victor Buono' including the ones about his personal life. As much as I despised Episode 1, I LOVED this one and I have to say that Miss Jackie Hoffman is still knockin' it out of the park every week as 'Mamacicta'.
  10. I absolutely hated it and thought they were all dreadful. I'll keep watching though because the relationship between Miss Crawford (honestly, Lange is ridiculous in the part and I mean they may as well gone all the way and hired present day Stockard Channing) and Mamacita (the always divine Miss Jackie Hoffman) that has a whole American Horror Story vibe to it. You might call me ...,torn.
  11. I think he did exist, as Helen also saw him in her POV when visiting Noah in prison. I think the part that Noah is imagining is that the guard is stalking him outside of the prison. Oh yeah, that's right. Speaking of Helen, I'm happy at least half of the next episode will be from her point of view as she is still my favourite character and Maura Tierney is just as joy to watch.
  12. I kinda liked this episode. Giant Misfit, it never occurred to me me that the prison guard may not even have existed in the first place. I did find it odd that he didn't know why Noah was in prison as it could have been easily checked out on Google and, as Noah was a very successful, best selling author wouldn't his case gotten a lot of press? Also, (assuming that the Brendan Fraser guard is real) I thought Noah's prison story was leading up to him being sexually assaulted by the guard, I'm not sure why. Alison didn't bother me too much this episode but I hope it's not to much too expect at this point that she's using some form of birth control. Oh, one more thing: Dominic West has an absolutely lovey ass.
  13. I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this question but, here goes: I recently read (I believe it was on my Facebook newsfeed so, of course, it must be true ;) ) that someone recently reported going to a show of Bianca's and said that Miss Del Rio told the crowd that the only thing she received from her Season Six win was the $100,000.00 check and nothing else. No 'sequin queen custom gown, no cruise, no whatever else she won for individual competitions. Also, apparently, this is 'common knowledge' that none of the contestants ever get their prizes. Can this really be true? Has anyone ever heard of this before?
  14. This about sums it up but with the addition of Detox eliminating Miss Alyssa Edwards is what sent this series into deep Rigger Morris ( ™ Miss Alyssa Edwards). I really can't add much more that hasn't already been already so eloquently stated, so, congrats to Alaska (ya big baby!) and especially to The Divine Katya, Queen of Our Hearts! Oh, is there a reunion show on next week?
  15. That was all kinds of sad, this episode. The family visits and make overs were all grand and there wasn't one I didn't like. The scenes between Alyssa and Tabby were heartbreaking as well as Detox and his sister mourning of their father. It was great to see Roxxy's grand/mother and much she was into the whole thing and it's clear where Katya and Alaska get their humour from! So, I agreed with the choice for Top Two but I would have chosen Katya over Detox. Showing your silicone butt ... again? Please. Katya had that lip sync! I knew the second Detox won that Alyssa was going home and unless Katya kills it in whatever competition(s) that are left she'll be next. If it does end with a FuckOffYouTwats as the final three then I hope the hell Roxxxy wins (and I would never, ever thought I'd write that sentence!) Alaska's behaviour was ... well, talk about showing your ass! The thing about offering $10,000.00 was, I'm fairly sure, was just said in the hysteria of the moment and I guess it'll be brought up at the Reunion. My only hope is that when Katya reveals what lipstick she had hidden in her bra it says 'Alaska' and then we see Alaska go all 'Carrie' on the workroom! That would almost save what's left of this bizarro world RPDR All Stars2!
  16. Well ... shit. Tati going home tonight was just wrong and Alaska sending her home was pure FuckOffUtwats bullshit! Roxxxy's runway was laughable (in all the wrong ways) and Tati's was brilliant! Look, the fact that Alaska even won that LSFYL was ridiculous as Katya felt every note of that song (and it was a Joan Jett and The Blackhearts re-recording of 'Cherry Bomb' and not the original by The Runaways, right?) and playing 'air guitar' with her leg? Classic Katya (her commercial was my fave too). Ah well, at least my darling Miss Alyssa Edwards was safe and even though I don't drink 'energy' drinks/ shots (I prefer sedation so I'll be shoppin' at Katya's booth!) her commercial was just made me grin and laugh the whole time. I swear that if FuckOffUtwats make it to Top 3 I'll never watch this show again ... until the next season begins (as well as my digital copies of the first 3 seasons and all the YouTube videos, of course)!! But, still!! Choices, people, choices!
  17. I hadn't even thought of that as a reason for the longer hair. Thanks for the insight, Chocolatine and thanks for the link, maraleia.
  18. My point is about the way boys had to wear their hair (or, conversely, couldn't wear there hair) in 1958. It has nothing to do with the actor they chose to play young Mort. I just brought it up to say that as a viewer it took me out of the episode. That's all.
  19. Then, historically speaking, it wasn't the right choice. Now, if it was 1968 instead of 1958 then maybe but boys (and Mort was considered by family/society a boy) in North America didn't wear their hair that long. I can understand if maybe Sophia Grace Gianna didn't want to have her hair cut for the part but production should have then had her wear a short boy style wig to play young Mort. Apart from that, though, I really loved this particular episode.
  20. One of the most entertaining all 'round RPDR episode ever. Thrilled to bits my darling Miss Alyssa Edwards is back and Tatiana too. I've Season 2 and have been re-watching it this weekend (along with binging on Season 3 of 'Transparent') and as much as Tati has really grown as a queen it also reminded me that I loved her in Season 2 and her 'talking heads' were great. I'm so over PP. On the night of her getting kicked the hell off the show she was on 'periscope' (that somehow popped up on my facebook feed) and she and Jiggly were just reading everyone to filth and laughing their fool heads off. If she's so afraid of 'bullying' and 'death threats' via social media she doesn't seem bothered at all by it and even seems to be very 'oh yeah? fuck you assholes' about it all. Also, don't forget but her new 'single' and upcoming 'album' (released and recorded under her male name) are just coming out right now so I guess she's of that 'even bad publicity is good publicity' school of thought and this might boost his single/album sales somehow. As far as Ru's meme response to PP? All I can say is that I admire Ru's restraint. Absolutely any measure of 'fame' that PP has she completely owes to RuPaul and being on 'RuPaul's Drag Race'. You reap what you sow, girl. Anyway: slow curtain, the end. Yes to all of this, especially the comment about Alaska. I think she is very talented and witty and her drag has really improved but to quote her from her first season "Gurl, take it easy."
  21. I watched almost all the episodes of Season 3 early this AM and the remaining one, as it turned out, this afternoon. I really, really thought this was a terrific season. I loved Season 1 and was not all that into Season 2 (although I liked it more when I watched it a second time). The show is all about Maura for me and what she was going through this season was very interesting to me. Sometimes, when you get what you've always thought you wanted (or 'dreamed of') and are becoming who you think your authentic self is it can be quite the "kick in the rubber parts" (to quote Harvey Feirstien's 'Torch Song Trilogy') when you face the truth of the very real limits limits health and getting older can put in your path. Just when you think you're almost 'there' you're ... not, I suppose. It's not just that some dreams don't come true (and some just don't) but suddenly you look up and realize you're not the only person in the world after all. This was also the first Season where I absolutely loved Shelly and thought Judith Light knocked it out of the park. 'To Shel and Back' was fabulous and her cover of the Alanis song at the end was very moving. The only thing that took me 'out' of the show for a bit was the memory scene of Mort and family in what was supposed to be 1958. Now, I was a child in the 1960s and boys just did not have hair that long, especially in the '50s. That said, I loved 1967 Shelley! Also that poor turtle, living in the 'walls' all those years! Then again, maybe he was better off, lol.
  22. Yes, it's like what Harold said about Michael in 'Boys in the Band': "Michael (in this case Phi2) doesn't have charm, he has counter-charm". Amen. I DESPISED Phi2 in her season and the feeling has only deepend this season. What a waste of valuable 'all stars' space! I'm broken hearted that my darling Miss Alyssa Edwards was sent home (and fuck you Alaska with your new pageant girl tears that you've adopted to go with your new pageant girl speak). I hope she gets to come back for 'revenge' which includes sending Phi2 home. The jealously that some of those queens (Phi2 and Detox) have towards queens like Alyssa is because Alyssa has something you can't buy or even create: STARPOWER. Alyssa has 'it' and 'it' is spellbinding and (especially) Phi2 cannot take it (the same way she couldn't take it from Sharon Needles). I love Katya and hope she wins but I think this is truly Alaska's race to lose. Her 'Li'l Poundcake' runway was genius and flawless in all the right ways. Is it me or did it seem like Michelle and Ru were not pleased with Alaska's choice of Alyssa? I fully realize that I may be majorly projecting right now but ... anyone?
  23. I enjoyed this episode more that I expected and colour (Canadian here!) me surprised at feeling quite sorry for Coco (who I didn't care for in her season at all apart from her masterful lip syncing talent) when she was told to "sashay away". Oh, and I really like that Roxxxy (who I 'hated' in that I think I'm getting too emotionally caught up in this show kind way, you know?) completely took responsibility for her "messy" game play and I thought she looked good. It made me, so far, want to give her another chance. I still hope my darling Miss Alyssa Edwards somehow snatches the crown and loved her 'variety' routine (I actually thought she should have been in the top 2) and I never get tired of watching her dance! I thought Ru looked really good tonight and Michelle Visage ... is Michelle Visage. I was kinda hoping that maybe Merle might come back as a judge as, when I re-watch Seasons 1 and 2 I find myself often agreeing with her in ways I don't with Michelle. I'm vaguely aware of who Toddrick is and he seems like a nice fit to the panel. I'd much rather Ross than Carson but, oh well. That last part about the eliminated queen being able to come back for 'revenge' ... isn't that just the usual lets bring one queen back later in the season deal? Is there not going to be and 'Untcuked' for this All Stars or was the deliberation with drinks basically a new 'twist' on the 'lounge' of Untucked. I'm also wondering what queens turned down offers to come back as I'm not sure they meant to have such a heavy Season 5 showing. I read that BenDeLaCrem turned down her offer for All Stars 2. It would have been great to bring back someone completely out of left field (which maybe TPTB think Tatianna -- loved her 'spoken work' piece. qualifies as this). I would have loved to seen Dita Ritz or Victoria 'Pork Chop' Parker or Kelly Mantle. Locas, it's so good to be back and see you all again!
  24. This episode has almost redeemed this glerp of a season for me. I WANT MY PAULIE DOLL!
