Lol. Yeah. Although they’ve making references for years. I kinda love they are leaning heavy into it. I know that they like to do tie-ins...but now Im wondering instead of going to space bc The Last Jedi came out. Not as a tie-in obviously. Infinity Wars is still far off. Its just an interesting connection. Ummm, I do now! I thought he was a Gemma/Leo baby. But he does look a LOT ike Hunter. Loved that Hunter instantly volunteered to watch over Robin. He is a big softy. So many hugs, so many normal conversations with Fitz. I loved it.

I loved it. Powers that be, Fitz and Hunter sparkle together. They’re just missing Mack and the bromance is back alive! Please bring back our favorite spies. Bobbi was also missed. Liked that the show kept bringing up the framework, Fitz’s guilt and we even got a moment of lost words. Fitz is messed up from the framework and Im glad they acknowledged it. The Star Wars references were strong this week. “I love you.” “I know.” Gah. And being frozen. Fitz entering into a den of mercenaries, thieves and killers. So Fitz is Luke, Leia, and Solo...with a little darkside thrown in for good measure. I loved it. They’re in space, who wouldnt be making Star Wars references?

I think the Jedi are far from perfect. I dont get removing themselves from emotional attachments. It was obvious from Episode III that Obi Wan was pretty damn attached to Anakin. Maybe if they had attachments, the whole mess with Anakin could have been avoided. I just binged Clone Wars on Netflix. I really wish Ahsoka would appear in the movies. It would have been interesting if she had answered the Rebels call for help...or if any old jedi had survived the Order and had appeared. Clone Wars has made me wish we’d get more aliens as main players. I loved Maz, I hated that she was a video clip for five minutes. They killed off Admiral Akbar. Its a giant galaxy...

Dang, you have eagle eyes. I missed this. I was assuming when she was talking to Corbin he brought up this was revenge.

I actually thought Poe was upset bc of being disappointed for being passed over for Holdo. You see him sitting tall and proud when they were announcing who was taking over for Leia, and then he had a kinda “wtf” face when they announced Holdo. I thought Poe then went into panic mode. First the fighters were blown up (which Poe almost died in), which meant most likely most of his friends had just been killed. Leia was literally blown out of the ship. Suddenly Poe has no agency at all. He was trying to save them, when he thought nothing was being done at all. I think he backed Finn’s and Rose’s plans because he was grasping at straws. It was ridiculous. 18 hours to find a codebreaker, sneak into the spaceship, kill the tracker, escape. There’s just not enough time. It was a desparate move, and one the rebels paid for. I think it was dumb Holdo told him nothing of her plan. Really, would she have said nothing? Leia sent Poe back out to fight before everything went to hell, she obviously still trusted him. It was a clunky plot point.

I for sure thought Rey was a Kenobi. I thought the hint was how they used both actors’ voices in the last movie during the lightsaber scene. I thought the story was going to come full circle. Once again a Kenobi was able to stop a Skywalker from making a horrible choice. Im still holding out hope that she is. Come on, Kenobi was a fox. There’s no way he didnt stray at least once. Im feeling empathy for Ben today. For what he could have been, for what was lost because he was lost. I know it was played for laughs, but I did not like the bit with Hux when he reached for his gun, debating killing him. It was too much when Luke did, I didnt like seeing it a second time. I guess, I dont know, Im not looking for a redemption story for Ben. But its tragic that he was so twisted by Snoke and then it gets piled on. I thought Leia was going to stop Kylo in Episode Nine, but I guess thats out the window. My big question is how did Ben murder and destory everything while Luke was under the rubble? Did the Knights of whatever help? Was Snoke there and egged on Ben to destroy everything? How did they get from point A to point murder/darkside? I guess, he was being like Anakin when he wiped everything out but...there are a lot of gaps I wish they would have answered instead of the casino scenes...

Im super happy they didnt kill Poe off in the first movie. He literally sparkles with everyone he meets. Still loved and shipped him and Finn. I loved that he ran to Finn at the beginning of the movie. Can thag be a thing, Poe running to Finn puppy level excitment at seeing his friend? I hope it happens now in Episode 9. If Poe ends up with someone, I wouldnt mind Poe with Rey either. I agree with the poster who said that he was repeatedly impressed with Rey, from her getting the Empire to follow her in the Falcon, and moving the stones he just seemed to love every moment of it. His fanily’s canon is that his parents met fighting together right? Both pilots? I could get behind that for him as well. I like that we saw their introduction, although I call foul on it. You think they would have met when Finn was injured sitting bedside with him. At least they talked this episode. Hopefully next episode we see all the next generations fight together.

HUH-WHAT? You mean they didnt plot out these three movies...in advance? Unless this was the revised pitch because of Carrie dying. They had to have some end in mind right?
-
I like when shows let you follow its clues instead of hitting with the lesson/trick over thr head with a hammer. Leverage is a prime example, where I tried to figure out the heist as it happened. But they had to show the heist or explain things because people weren’t following. I like when shows assume I’m smart and can catch what they’re throwing. I amend my Star Wars theory. Daisy is going to end up being Luke and saving them all right? Especially since she’s the Destroyer of Worlds. Then cementing Leo as Leia, which I really love for some reason.

Well, I thought it was funny that Luke had time to cut his hair. I was literally sitting there going “did the aliens on his planet trim his locks before he left?” That should have been a HUGE clue that he wasnt really there. And I really like Mark with long hair, he should grow his out. Lol! As an avid hater of Ren/Kylo, I did love the two of them fighting together. The hand-to-hand fighting is my favorite, and I wish we had more jedi in the series. Im just getting into the Clone Wars tv show (thanks Netflix) and the jedi fights are my favorite. I was disappointed no hiding Jedi answered the pleas of help by the Resistence. I hated the scene of the child at the end, I wish we had seen something else like old Jedi who had been trainning Force-sensitive children hearing the call. More world building, more help for the rebellion. The galaxy is a huge place. Luke couldnt have been the only one who survived. (Im also only one season two of Clone Wars, dont spoil me ?)

Did Luke leave any footprints on the Salt Planet? With everything turning red, he would have left no footprints correct? After pondering more, I really like Poe’s story. He really messes up in this movie and he really learned the lesson. If it wasnt for Poe, we would have more resistance fighters left. After not falling in line and listening to Leia and Holdo, he tells the plan to Finn who is with the double-crossing Code Breaker. If Poe had listened and not told, more of the fighters probably would have lived. It was a good story to give to Poe because he’s so damn likable. Im sure Holdo is going to catch heat for just not telling Poe earlier, but I get it. It was need to know and Poe had been demoted by Leia. Holdo was Leia’s friend, and was taking her lead. I just wish Holdo had gone after the Empire’s ships eariler. During the movie, my Father turned to me and said “You know, she could at least attempt to block the shots with her ship” and then a loud “finally” when he realized she was going to use her ship as a giant bomb. I hope Hollywood was watching this. We had heroes who were old, young, female, male, and all sorts of races. Everytime another female was in a fighter, commanding the deck, or as Jin Erso would say “rebelling” my heart attempted to bust out of my chest. Its about damn time Star Wars.

Unverified Intelligence: The Speculation/Wishlist Thread
SnoGirl replied to Kromm's topic in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Thats what I had been thinking too, but as their grandchild. Has he seen Gemma yet though? You would think he would do a double-take when he saw her if she was his mother. I was hoping for a tie to our heroes as a child of someone. -
Okay, let’s play this game. Deke is double-crossing Lando. Gemma is...Solo? Basically frozen until she is released. Technically are the Inhumans Solo too as their powers are dampened? Is Fitz Leia or Luke? He came in costume, like Leia to save them, but then presented himself like Luke. Kasius is Jabba? Holding parties, making the Inhumans “dance” for him. Disposing those who no longer fit his needs. Is Sinara Bobba Fett? Okay, this is eerie. Is this more of a mash-up than that one comment. I dont know the roles of Coulson/May/YoYo/Mack are then. If this follows the storyline of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, I wonder if we’re going to see our heros bombing the space craft with everyone escaping. Dont know how time travel figures in with everything... I think Sinara was trying to prove her point that there were more than just Gemma and Daisy on the ship from the past. I think she was trying to show Gemma she didnt believe her lies.

Wow. I just got back from seeing the movie. I spent the entire weekend avoiding spoilers at all costs, and Im glad I did. And so many girls were at my showing, complete with Rey hair or Star Wars shirts. I teared up. This movie should really be called “The Worst 48-ish Hours in the Galaxy’s History.” Am I wrong? They really did pick right up after Force Awakens. I thought the timelines were a little wonky, it seemed like Rey was with Luke for much longer than the the world’s longest/slowest get-away attempt. And where did all the Rebels go? There was like 12 at the end. I get rising from the ashes but damn, this movie decimated the Rebellion so close to them taking out the Starkiller. I loved everything our main characters. I do wish we would have seen Rey/Poe/Finn together more. One of my favorite scenes was Poe/Finn/Rose calling Maz. I hope the last movie is Rey/Poe/Finn/Rose together more. I liked the growth we saw in a short amount of time. Poe recognized the importance of life over winning battles. Finn realized the rebellion is more than just one life. Rose stepped out from behind the scenes and right into the rebellion. And Rey finally started to let go of her past. There is just so much to unpack, but my absolute favorite scene was the lightspeed crusier into the First Order’s ship. Not enough can be said for how beautiful the scene was and the amazing choice to drop all sound. I dont think anyone even took a breath until the sound returned. It was powerful to think it was silent as Kylo Ren made his move to power as everything that was, was now gone. I also loved the battle on the Salt planet. It was visually beautiful too, with the red constantly exploding from blaster hits. And Luke’s fight with Kylo Ren was earned. Can I just say, Leia’s floating scene was a shout-out to Carrie’s quote of “I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra.” Thats all I could think of during that scene. And screw the jerks who are trash talking Leia because of it. We dont know how powerful she would have been if she had been trained. Luke wasnt the only offspring of Anakin and Padme. This might be unpopular, but Leia’s story cannot end here. I dont know how they do it, but I hope she’s finally successful against the First Order once and for all.

Can we please name the steel balls? This is getting ridiculous. Why couldnt it have been daggers? Or cubes?
-
Did you see the female Kree wiped off her steel weapons? I bet they wanted us to think it was blood. Im betting May escaped. Okay, Im hoping she escaped or is trapped on a different floor.

Fitz! Fitz in SPACE! I am SO excited! Did Hunter come too?? Please say Hunter is in Space too. Finally some movement on stories. Coulson recognizing people are disappearing. But still not learning from it bc May is gone. I no longer like that Gemma is being silenced by the Kree. She’s no help, she cant hear useful information to help anyone. She’s on a leash and its killing me. The baby was a surprise. But I liked the storyline for Mack and YoYo. Grieving for a child lost twice. I wish we could have kept Hope. I hope Daisy made a plan with the Inhumans for a rebellion. Wonder if they’ll wreck the station and have to take refuge on Earth. I hope Fitz has a plan to get them back! I cant wait to see the adventures of Fitz and Hunter next week. Fitz has quite the beard! Cant wait!

Wasnt Rowling herself a victim of domestic violence? I thought I had read that somewhere. Which is why I was shocked she was okay with Depp. For all the different types of abuses she covered in her books...I dont how to feel about it. I was kinda hoping they would pull another reveal, that Depp’s character wasnt really Grindlewald, or that he had found a way to beat the reveal spell so he was still hiding his identity. I really hope Newt and his friends are the focus of these movies. Not that I dont love Dumbledore, but Newt is extraordinary. He’s different and kind and a Huffle. And Ive had my fill of Gryffindors. From what I read so far, Im shocked that I also read an article where they addressed the Beasts in Fantastic Beasts. As excited as I am to see new beasts, Im also excited for

A Series Of Unfortunate Events - General Discussion
SnoGirl replied to yeswedo's topic in A Series Of Unfortunate Events
Wow. We are really going to get the whole series. I was nervous that Netflix wouldnt let us get all the way through. Im hoping this means that more book series will become tv shows rather than movies. I’d rather see series as tv shows to get all those delicious details. -
A Series Of Unfortunate Events - General Discussion
SnoGirl replied to yeswedo's topic in A Series Of Unfortunate Events
Brilliant! I havent reread these books in ages, so the next couple of episodes are going to be complete surprises and I cant wait! Do we know how many episodes this season will be? -
This is...kinda crazy. I love it but man, its depressing. Its different from the Framework, where I was constantly in freakout mode that something was going to happen to someone. Here, its slight freakout with a big helping of “man, what shitty lives these humans lead.” Stupid Kree. I was not surprised by Deke. Its a every-man for himself scenario. Im more disappointed that Daisy 1)didnt see the double-cross coming 2)didnt Quake the glass the INSTANT it came down. Come on girl, you’re a spy and you’re on the offense. Take it down right away. At least Deke told Daisy (right in front of the Kree?) he’s playing the long game. And now there were four. Did I miss it, but did Coulson, May, Yo-Yo or Mack mention that Gemma or Daisy were missing? Mack was right, they split up and now they’re being picked-off one by one (or captured by the Kree, brilliant work guys). Loved the scene where Yo-Yo runs. Those are always my favorite. And I like her running compared to Flash. Her running look like pulses, which I really like considering she moves in heartbeats. Love that her running made her tracker look like it was going wonky. I also for SURE thought the transmission was going to be Fitz. Glad to be surprised. Im still hoping to see children/grandchildren related to our heroes. Didnt Fitz have a theory on timetravel? That it wouldnt matter because if you know what you do will still make whatever you think you’re trying to prevent happen? Does anyone remember what episode that was in? Im curious to see if his theory comes into play at all...

Im going to be really alone when I say I was really underwhelmed and was shocked at how much they spoiled in that trailer then? I feel like some of those moments, like the life finds a way or the T-Rex moment Im surprised they spoiled. Also, I feel like we just saw all the best bits.

Chris Evans posted about this on Twitter hoping for a Cap/Human buddy comedy spin off. Im still cracking up about it bc when they casted Chris Evans as Cap after the Fantastic Four movies I was shocked. I liked him as the Human Torch and could NOT imagine him ad Cap. Ironically, his Cap is one of my favorite Avengers now...

Who got Barry and Iris twenty toasters (was it toasters?) Was it Mick? Barry and Iris commented on them stealing them. It had to be Mick right? Who else is a thief on the three shows other than Not!Snart?
