  1. I really liked the Root/Finch story line. In a way Root showed her humanity(?), albeit in a in a somewhat sick and twisted fashion, with "I'll kill her, rather than sacrifice Finch, because I can't face loosing Finch after loosing(?) Shaw" I also liked Frankie. Harper, not so much, but she was better/less annoying than last time. Iris/John: okay One question: Near the end, When Iris (that is the shrink's name?) said to Reese "My office, John", she walked through a typical police station glass door, yet when the scene continued, Reese walked through a somewhat ornate wooden door, into an apartment like office? Huh?? It took me out of the scene for a moment. {or was it previously established that, for some reason, this office was specially constructed within the precinct? was this due to bad editing, (or possibly my inattention)?}
  2. I liked the way they handled the funeral. Given that the actress died, (as aoopsed to only the character passing) it might have been too much for the other cast members to devote an entire episode of a comedy show- to be funny after a colleague has died. Last weeks' ep handled the passing (IMO) nicely. This one, the funeral. I had also heard that the characters were named after Sheldon Leonard-by the writers/creators of the series. Do we have any information regarding how-in the story line Leonard was named by his parents?
  3. Regarding Martha's leaving. Didn't she say "not immediately"? Of course, that means it could drag on for a while-years even. And she could always come around to the loft. In fact, didn't she stay with her boyfriend/ fiance-the one who died, but was frequently at the loft ? Regarding baby Castles...no, just no. That said, if this was to be the last season (hope not) they could end with Kate saying "oh by the way, I'm pregnant". But then some of us would bitch that "they just copied the end of The Mentalist...
  4. Stupid question that bugs me (and annoys me that it bugs me!): Forgive my lack of knowledge about the floor plan of the brownstone, but does this mean that Joan has to go outside to get from her basement office (?) to her 2nd floor bedroom?
  5. Got the s.o.b.. good.. Fornell seems to have turned a corner in a good way....better.
  6. "I liked it" wins for me, and many of the previous posters have said what I'm thinking, so to elaborate a bit, with quotes: My question exactly. What did Nieman say to Beckett as she approached with the scalpel "lets' start this" as in surgery, or "let's end this" as in time to die? I did have to wonder: How did she overpower and kill Nieman, given the fact that one arm and both legs were still bound to the table? But, Kate's eyes were awesome in that moment, her eyes conveyed "my turn, Bitch" so much so that there was no doubt as to the eventual winner. I was glad that they didn't show Beckett's fight with Nieman- let us imagine how the carnage evolved. Finally, what a change in expression from that fierceness to the "shell shocked" expression on Beckett's face as Castle and the cops broke in. She was in a daze, having just done "what she had to do". IMO not obvious-it looked to me like a desperate man saying to himself-"NO this won't work" I agree- too much, too obvious product placement. As an aside: a few years ago, at a car dealership, the salesman showed us a model and pointed out the "large trunk room". My wife (she of the weird sense of humor) said "Wow, you could probably fit 3 or 4 dead bodies in there". For some reason another salesman waited on us..... Some thoughts that crept in while/after watching the ep (regarding "original" writing): a) The "Castle gets captured as part of the plan ... didn't they do that in "Hunt"? b) the Sniper shot from long range: See the NCIS ep.when they rescued Ziva from terrorists in the dessert. Martha and Alexis will return from Europe after they fiinish shopping ??? Really? Nice level of concern (yes, comic relief, but....) However, despite all those thoughts, I loved the intensity, and thought thsat it was basically well done.
  7. IIRC, a contributor to /the source of some, (but not all???)of "Zebrah" vs 'Zeebrah" comes from the fact that in the U.S (at least) the letter "Z" is pronounced "Zee", while in the U.K. it is pronounced "Zehd".
  8. I missed the first 10 minutes, but when I saw Fusco working with Silva (?) I started thinking "she's here to fill in the gaps/physical scenes/attitude due to Shaw's being gone". Later on Fusco said "you remind me of a friend"..... Will Silva join the team? Best and last Shaw's alive! :)
  9. I thought that he episode was somewhat "overly convoluted", but I knew that there was NO WAY that the SeeBee would not get the Medal of Honor. (Not on NCIS). I wonder if/for how long Hollis Mann will be around, if at all. I liked her interaction with Gibbs years ago (admittedly not a super popular opinion), and tonight she seemed spot on in her using her knowledge of Gibbs' psyche to try to get through to him as he grieved the loss of Diane. Question: I recall that she got married while in Hawaii, is she still married?
  10. As an aside, every time somebody posts "PI" I have to reassure myself that they aren't posting about the unlamented character "Pi".
  11. This, and the fact that, near the end of the ep., she called Finch "Harold" instead of her usual "Harry".
  12. I interpret the kiss as Shaw's saying (to herself) "I'm going to be the one to hold down the button, and I'm going to die (to save my friends), so "what the hell"". Does it have (for Shaw) any deeper romantic meaning? Possibly, based on all the flirting/bantering?

    S12.E11: Check

That was heart wrenching. It brought home what Ducky and Palmer must go through-Kate, Jenny, Mike Franks, etc. When I heard that Jeri Ryan was the "ex #2" I thought the same thing. But the dye job (???) was IMO well done. I was surprised that Nobody (Gibbs, Diane, Tim) mentioned the similarity, as it sure seemed to be staged that way.
  14. Great episode-tense, funny, but the ending..... Hope that Shaw is alive. Loved the fact that Shaw kissed Root.

    S12.E11: Check

Wow.... Some stray thoughts: When they did the initial explanation of the gunfight at the fast food restaurant, I immediately flashed onto "Jenny's last stand", (and wondered if it was lazy writing, and if not why didn't Gibbs see it.) After the "Mike Franks copy", I started looking for the next one. When Gibbs and Dianne were on the roof, I got a knot in my stomach. I thought "no, they can't kill Diane".....they did. (Even then, I had hope that it was a ruse.....) After Gibbs beat the crap out of Sergie (???) and got knocked out, I expected a "to be continued"...but no. Was that the real ending? Almost a throwaway line "we stopped them"..... I'm guessing that the bad guy will return sometime. Poor Fornell. Did it seem like the promo for next week was almost too lighthearted??? Hell of a way to start '15.
  16. Thanks. I'm bad at recalling title/title acronyms, and all I could came up with was "In The Bottom Of The Bottle".. oh well..Happy New Year to all.
  17. I started watching thew show when Tom Baker was the Doctor. Due toTV schedules/work/life etc. I did not see much of the show for the intervening years, only recently picking it up again-a bit of David Tennent, a bit of Matt Smith, some Peter Capaldi.-So I missed a LOT! My question: is there a simple explanation for River Song' s saying (paraphrasing) that "her past is the Doctor's future" and "every time I see him, I know him more, but he knows me less" ?? a link, article? Thanks in advance.
  18. Anybody with more "inside" info than me ( I have none!) able to address this (sorry if it has been touched on already): We know that Jenna was thinking about leaving the show. Could TPTB have shot 2 endings: the one that we saw; and another wherein "old Clara" is left to the remaining years of her life-thus leading to a new companion. 1) to cover themselves if Jenna left or stayed and 2) as a negotiating ploy,,,"see we can go on without you? ? Thanks.
  19. I "knew" that Neal was not really dead.......BUT the show almost convinced me that he was really dead. (kudos to Tim and Willie for the morgue scene). I think that Peter's smile at the very end was not that "the chase is on" but a smile of joy that Neal was alive,... and finally free. I also think that Mozzie did not know, but somehow figured it out (with help from Neal??), and that he left the card for Peter . The "one year later" bugged me because that meant that Neal let his "family" grieve for a full year. (Unless he thought that Peter and/or Mozzie would find the shipping container in less time.
  20. the case: OK; ...the hackers: annoying; .... recapping "the rules" : nicely done ; ....... the ending: gut punch.; Bravo Sean. So sad for McGee.
  21. My thoughts exactly. regarding Castle's fumbling during the shootout/fast drawer I think that we have seen him shoot accurately "for real", but only do the "fast drawer gun twirl" bits "as play" not "life or death":. Regarding the dress in the last scene: I missed the slit-thanks for the picture and was glad that they remembered the scar. Did anyone else think about "possible wardrobe malfunction" as Beckett dipped pulled and twisted??
  22. Due to work, I have seen the first 2 episodes this year, and then this one. My question: Have they done something to Beckett's (Stana's?) appearance? I know that the hair is shorter, but she looked (to me) very differentcompared to the 2 earlier eps this year. Is it the hair style, lighting, makeup wardrobe (as some have mentioned) or is it just me not keeping up week to week? Thanks to those with more knowledge about these things.
  23. Didn't Gibbs shoot him, and leave him for dead?...or does he (the Russian) need more of a reason??
  24. There is an article indicating that Marlow is (sort of) stepping down, leaving Terri to run "Castle". Not sure what to make of it, so here's a link http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/556696/20140624/castle-season-7-air-spoilers-stana-katic.htm
