  1. This is beautiful and has me tearing up, too. Your writing about your mom and granny touches a part of me that understands how it is when you love your child/grandchild or whoever is in your life who is dear to you. Your mom saw and heard you with what I call loving eyes and ears. How could she not be proud?
  2. Happy Birthday wishes, frenchtoast! Happy late birthday wishes, GeeGolly! Happyfatchick, whether the sounds that come from your playing sound good to you or not, I've got to believe that somewhere in your mom's heart she hears the love that comes from you being there with her and the music and she feels that love. I feel it when you write it.
  3. I agree with Love2dance, Happyfatchick, that you are an amazing daughter. What a beautiful and loving gift you're giving your mom! It also sounds like you've had one of the best side effects of Ambien, 4 lbs of your favorite malted milks balls!
  4. Burlsa, I hope all your doctors take good care of you and your health issues. I hope they treat you like they would treat the person they love most in the world. Love and blessings and hugs!
  5. Thank you for sharing this mbutterfly. It boggles my mind that Gothard and this disturbing cult is still around after all these years.
  6. I agree with Wok Chop, Mick Picks, Gee Golly and everyone who has sent kind thoughts to all of you. I hope good people and things come into your lives that will bring you joy and light.
  7. Since it can't be said enough, burlsa and wok chop, you are loved and appreciated by so many of us. I'm so glad you're back, burlsa.
  8. Churchhoney and Missy Vixen, one of the first things thought about the reviews on Amazon was that they were so much better written than anything I've seen on Facebook or instagram. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the writers were comped in some way. We're not dealing with the epitome of honesty here with the Duggar parents or TLC.
  9. YAY for you and your sweet doggie!
  10. Absolom, I love this way more than I should.
  11. voiceover, we have it recorded under "Switchmas" since "A Christmas Carol" ran over a minute and we wanted to get Tiny Tim and Scrooge at the end. It really is wonderful. I'm so glad you got to watch and enjoy it so much!
  12. For anyone who wants to watch the Alastair Sim version of "A Christmas Carol" it's on FXM at 5pm today.
  13. Maharincess, I hope your daughter is able to get the things your granddaughter will notice and enjoy the most. And maybe, with the Legos, she can tell her that they will be her extra special after the holidays present so she can enjoy them later after the excitement of her first gifts has worn off. Your daughter and granddaughter are so very loved. I hope they feel that even more. And maybe someone, possibly you, could write in a note or journal about the great love this little girl's mom has for her to try and duplicate her gifts on Christmas eve. It reminds me of the love in "The Gift of the Magi" by O'Henry. Peace, joy, and love to you and your family!
  14. To all of the wonderful people on this forum: May your holiday be full of every one and everything you love! And may you know love and peace every day of your lives! I'm so grateful to have you in my life!
  15. Thank you, The OtherOne, this is very interesting.
  16. Jynnan tonnix It's an awesome story! Thank you so much for sharing it. LikeTabbygirl521 I, too, love that you believe it's a gift. It sure was from someone.
  17. I'm so sorry Churchhoney that you experienced this in your life. It's a horrible thing to do to children and as you say, it stays with them for life. My heart aches for you, the Duggar children, and anyone who has to deal with this in their childhood.
  18. MarysWetBar, I'm so happy you got to hear this. You are an amazing mom and it shows in the love and respect your son has for you and by the way he treats the people in his life.
  19. Add me to those who look forward to and enjoy your posts, Aja!
  20. Maharincess, I remember him very well from "Dear John"
  21. Babies can really help heal so much that goes on in life. Thank you for sharing the story about your son, it makes the picture even more meaningful. And wouldn't it be wonderful if all children were loved as much as your sweet little one.
  22. I watched "Taxi" in it's original run. At the time it was one of my favorite shows but when the theme came on I was out.
  23. I am soooo happy for you and your family, dear Happy Fat Chick! Her name is beautiful and what a gift to be born on her Great Paw Paw's birthday for Kenna Grace and all of you!!
  24. I wonder if Jim Bob and whoever loves these tracts so much would want them from TLC instead of money?
