  1. Rachael's husband, Mike McKenzie, is an ex player now. I remember seeing him in one episode because they showed his name on screen, but I can't remember which it was. It's possible Jeff and Mike see each other and we just don't see it. I wouldn't recognize Mike unless they identified him with a caption. He may be around while filming is going on and they just don't caption his name.
  2. No. He was about 8 miles from where they started. They were on St. Charles Avenue in the Lower Garden District for the fashion show and for the scenes on the sidewalk when they were looking for him. The scenes where he was running were on the I-10 Service Road in Metairie by the Galleria Mall. Coincidentally enough the mall houses the studios where Tamica's news station is. The mall is a little bit off the direct route between where the fashion show was and Jeff's home in Covington. It's in a mixed residential/commercial area, but I can't think of bars or nightclubs around that he might have been going to. In a TH Barry talks about how Jeff is running around in a dangerous pocket of NOLA. Where Jeff was running (in this episode anyway) was not in NOLA proper and actually is one of the safest neighborhoods of the metro area.
  3. I'm OK with the casino so far, but I sure miss the nail salon.
  4. I'm with you on this. That one truck Tyler advised to raise prices marked an item up to $20. If I'm spending $20 on an entree, I want a waiter to bring it to me at a table. I don't want to eat it standing in a field. Not even for the reality TV show experience.
  5. I would love to see Kelsey with darker hair. I think she needs some contrast between her skin color and her hair color. That scene was so hard to watch. She didn't even try to break the news gently and convey that it was difficult and awkward to tell him. She seemed to expect him to be more happy for her than sad for himself. I hate her. I hope karma bites her in the ass and I hope we see it in an episode.
  6. According to her website, it's by appointment only Mon through Weds and open from 12 to 5 Thurs through Sun.
  7. I so hoped they were shooting themselves in the foot and would lose, but no such luck. I'm sure there will be more challenges they won't be able to participate in.
  8. That's the place. High rent is right. And her shop is only open Thursday through Sunday from 12 to 5. Monday through Wednesday is by appointment only. I don't see how the store can support itself with those hours. I guess her Bravo paycheck subsidizes it.
  9. Reagan lives in New Orleans now. And I think Kelsey and Justin have always lived in New Orleans. I don't remember them ever showing where John lives. I've seen every episode and I can't seem to remember why Tamica dislikes Kelsey so much. Did something happen off screen? Or am I just having a senior moment and can't remember shit? I'm enjoying it so far. Got my fingers crossed for the rest of the season.
  10. Speaking only for myself, I'm bored with this show but I'm still watching because I'm afraid as soon as I quit watching something really good will happen and I'll have missed it. In the 90's my favorite soap had gotten boring and I stopped watching. Well don't you know that shortly after I stopped watching they did two excellent (for a soap) storylines that are still iconic in the soap genre. I admit that the RH shows are rerun to death and are available on demand so I would always be able to watch an episode that I had missed, but I'm still kind of affected by missing those old soap storylines and I just can't stop watching. The NY housewives seem to only do the same basic things--lunch, charities, shopping, dinner--but somehow they make it interesting. Here's to hoping this show will get interesting again.
  11. I have no way of knowing why she was there that early. There were other people there when she arrived, so obviously there was something going on before the show. Luann was originally scheduled to go on at 1:30, so maybe when B made her plans she knew she didn't want to/couldn't be there that late so only got the babysitter through 11ish. Beth tells someone at the party that there was no way she could stay for the 1:30 show, so she sounds like she wasn't planning to attend the show anyway. At some point Luann sent a group text to tell them she was going on at 11, but maybe it was too late for B to change things by then. When she left at 11:30, she couldn't have know Luann would only be 10 more minutes. ETA: there's a time stamp of her arriving at 8:43
  12. Maybe Brynn's nanny had the night off to go to a Halloween party herself and Bethenney had to hire a babysitter. Maybe she lied about it so she'd have an excuse to leave. Either way, she was there at around 8pm for a show that was supposed to start at 11pm but didn't start until 11:39pm. I'd have left then too if I wanted to leave then, whether I had to lie about the reason or not. Sorry Lu. Barbara looked really good as Slash. Dorinda looked like Marilyn Manson if you ask me.
  13. She gets to be star of a tv show because people continue to watch, whether because of her or not.
  14. Considering how much ground they have to cover in only 13ish (do we know yet how many season 5 will have?) episodes, would it be detrimental to the whole story to leave out Jocasta being married and having a sexual relationship with Ulysses? It's been a few years since I've read the books, so I can't remember all of what happens down the line, but how much would really it affect Jamie and Claire's story and also the overall story of the series if they left those things out?
  15. He looked like a totally different person after he made it through. I had to pause on him and convince myself that it was the same actor (even though I knew that it was). They don't give us much credit, do they? I'm a huge fan of the books, but I've been kind of disappointed in the whole series so far. But at the same time, I just can't not watch. This was my favorite episode of the whole series. It was amazing!
  16. Do I detect some shade here? It sounds like they're implying that it takes more than half the season before the show is even any good. I don't think that was a compliment.
  17. You must not be a Mad Men watcher ; )
  18. Lol. My husband and I eloped and got married at a resort in the Caribbean. My maid of honor was the wedding planner and my husband's best man was the water aerobics instructor.
  19. But the baby could be Roger's. They had sex right before the rape.
  20. Really, really did not like the song over the ending scene. Love the song. Love Ray Charles. The scene was great with music over, but that song just didn't work. Many years ago, General Hospital did a gun battle scene with "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" played over it. That cheesy soap opera did it so much better than Ron Moore did here. I'll pile on about the wigs. They are so, so bad. I've still never gotten over Jamie's Bastille beard. And I agree that Claire and Jamie look too young. It will really be pronounced once Brianna and Roger are in scenes with them. Come on hair and makeup, y'all are slacking. I'm trying hard to like the show, but it moves so slowly. But it is beautiful to look at and I love seeing the books come to life. I didn't even add Starz to my cable until Saturday afternoon after I got a coupon code for a promotional price. Was just going to wait and hope the DVD's came to my library. Hope the season gets better. Is it wrong that I love show Stephen Bonnet? Does anyone know where they're filming? Is the plantation they use for River Run a real plantation home?
  21. The bolded stuff above. He called the guy who cried a sap. He didn't know that Kim had shed a few tears too. It was at that point Kim realized Jimmy would have considered her a sap too. That was what the look on her face was about.
  22. I live at sea level too in New Orleans, except everything here is built on swampy soil. No traditional basements here either, but people who live in houses with the main living areas on the second level call the ground level a basement. It's totally above ground and has doors and windows, but it's still called a basement. Maybe Charleston is similar
