  1. This is a very good point, except Braunwyn and her husband were hosting the event, so it's their choice as to what alcohol they wanted to offer. However, if it had been a scenario where the housewives all went out to eat at a restaurant and she tried to control what the others wanted to drink, then it would be on her to control her addiction and not everyone else. YMMV but that's how I see the difference in this particular situation.
  2. I just happened to notice on my DVR that there's an hour long RHoNY episode on October 8th called "Best of Leah Moments". I don't mind Leah-don't love her, don't hate her. But I guess somebody somewhere that counts really likes her.
  3. I just happened to notice on my DVR that there's an episode of RHoNY airing on October 8th called "Best of Leah Moments". Have they ever done this with any other housewife?
  4. I'm of the same age group as the ones calling Leah's mother "granola". I think they were referring to the fact that wasn't wearing a full face of makeup, her hair wasn't colored, high-lighted and styled and she wasn't dressed to the nines.
  5. Teddi looked so pretty with no makeup at her retreat. Whoever is doing the makeup for her talking heads is doing her no favors--especially the nose contouring.
  6. The big house aggravates me so much. It's just too fancy. Where would they have gotten the craftsmen needed to do all that woodwork? I know we're not supposed to harp on "but in the book...", but in the book the big house barely had glass in the windows.
  7. I'm glad the show's back and I'm enjoying it OK, but I would love to see a sequel centered about Gene, especially after the opening of this episode. I think the Saul becoming Gene story is a lot more interesting than the Jimmy becoming Saul story. And it would make it a lot easier to deal with the actor looking older.
  8. Jeff's motorcycle accident. https://www.nola.com/news/crime_police/article_9c83f388-2bfb-11ea-aafa-af147ad26659.html?fbclid=IwAR1UapjXX1PoBS4cXk2BgRAUeNYnEYTYq65rVgxVGDVseg5urpYqr5DdlIs
  9. Did you notice the look on her face when Vicki entered the yoga room? She looked positively thrilled at the prospect of drama ensuing.
  10. Does anyone else think that maybe the whole Kary/Leanne rooming situation was set up by production to cause drama? I wouldn't want to share a bed with anyone besides my husband. If it wasn't producer driven, neither of them was very gracious about the situation. A guest should be respectful of her host's wishes, but a host should also be respectful of her guest's feelings. Although I might sleep in the same bed as Kary if that would get me an invite to vacation at that amazing house!
  11. I didn't realize she had been a writer. That makes casting her as a producer not seem like stunt casting or too much of a coincidence. Emily Valentine did make an impression in her short time on screen. And I do like the character, but I don't personally care for Christine Elise as an actress. She has a very flat affect and her voice and/or delivery are monotone. That could explain it. But Ian's not playing Steve, he's playing himself. Maybe he really is cold toward the other cast members. If it does turn out to be her who sent the dolls and they do either a crazy like Emily or a simply having fun with the cast storyline, it could be pretty awesome. I'm really enjoying it too. I wish there were going to be more than 6 episodes.
  12. I don't understand the Christine Elise thing. She's an executive at Fox? Why?
  13. And was it really Rachael's choice who got invited or was it the production company's choice and Rachael just passed along the invite?
  14. I have no idea how much any of them makes. My point was that this show is a job for each of them. Whether it's their sole support or a second job, it's still a job. People arrange for childcare in order to go to their jobs. They're not out at these events purely for fun. They are earning a living.
  15. This show is their job. They arrange for some kind of childcare just like other working mothers.
  16. I remember as a teenager seeing the name Bronwyn in a Judith Krantz novel in the 1970s and liked it so well I put in on my list of names for future kids. Maybe one of Braunwyn's parents is German and the other Welsh. Maybe they need the dues.
  17. I can't find the dates published anywhere, but it had to have been Mardi Gras of 2017. The Mardi Gras episode in season 1 aired on April 15, 2018. Mardi Gras was February 13, 2018. They would have never been able to have the series premiere ready to air in only 2 months. I did find the filming dates for season 2. It was filmed from October 13 to December 17, 2018.
  18. I don't think they twisted her arm. She has a great gig that it looks like she enjoys. She's obviously got a good support system in place to care for her child when she's not there.
  19. This show is a job. Lots of women and men travel for their jobs.
  20. It's not a lie if you believe it. - George Costanza
  21. Whitney is an attractive man. Until he starts acting like a diva. Thomas is unfortunate looking, isn't he?
  22. Unless Whitney has cataracts, he needs to stop wearing sunglasses inside. Such a pretentious asshole. I really want to like Craig, but he makes it so hard. Is this show circling the drain yet? Please say yes.
