The Duggars are big on parables. Josh's story is that of the Prodigal Son, the only difference being he is the 1st born, not the 2nd. Whatever we think of RU and the Duggar parents, I think that JB & M believe the treatment will be helpful. They are probably at their wits end both as parents and as "The Duggars". With that said, many people who act out with drugs, sex, or whatever, often have an undiagnosed mental health issue, or at the very least become pathologically depressed and/or anxious when faced with confronting their problems. And if that is the case with Josh, then he is shit out of luck, because unfortunately, while someone's faith can be helpful on their journey to wellness, no one has yet to pray mental illness away. My hope is that this shit storm allows the entire family to take their blinders off, take Gothard out of the picture, and revisit their beliefs in a healthier way.

I believe you're right. But if JB & M had any sense they would realize it might not be the big bad world that is messing with their kids' futures. They might want to look in the mirror.

No debating here either. But neither Jessa nor Jill said child molestation is no big deal, they shared their feelings on their situation. I have worked with, and continue to work with many survivors that have lived through horrendous traumas, and I feel very protective of all survivors, even ones who spout judgmental bible quotes.

I totally agree. Is this bullying by proxy? Jessa did not molest anyone nor hypocritically break her marriage vows. And even if one doesn't agree with her perception of events it is her story. It is unfair to take Josh's actions out on her, as well as to invalidate any survivor of molestation.

Like Jelly beans said she is still nursing, and likely to nurse longer if they stay in Central America. Not that nursing is foolproof, but it does lower the odds.

Jessa acted pleased when they were showing her misdeeds during the All About Jessa episode. There was even a clip of her face planting one of her little brothers when he came into the camera shot when they were younger. She smiled through it all.

Which is most likely the reason none of the Duggar 19 have used it. BC for any reason is probably a no-no.
