  1. There was a (mostly) nice NYT article today. Gift article - hopefully it works. I get the feeling a lot of people think a new soap is a Quixotic venture. I hope they're wrong.
  2. That was the standout for me. Lois's clothes usually amuse me but her look today hurt my eyes.
  3. That's a pretty low bar. I think it might be more fun to watch if I thought they could be an endgame pairing or that it might actually lead to Willow embracing her crazy Reeves side. (And a recast for Drew might help me personally.)
  4. Some of the wigs and poses were so dead on. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Thanks for sharing @jsbt. I needed the laugh.
  5. I thought that was only if Trump disputed his fitness that Congress got involved. If he can't/doesn't, then Vance is president. Congress does have to approve a new vice-president. It's all moot though. As long as Trump is breathing, I doubt anyone would dare.
  6. After delaying it so Biden wouldn't get credit, so maybe only half a point credit. I'd give Trump credit for taking a stab at criminal justice reform as well as Operation Warpspeed for the Covid vaccine. It's ironic that his major achievement (other than tax cuts for the wealthy) got booed at his rallies. It was shocking to me how deranged Trump sounded at that press conference. Doesn't this man have anyone who is worried about his mental health? Or is everyone just averting their eyes until the day they can safely hustle him offstage and invoke the 25th amendment?
  7. Worse than Kevin Costner in Robin Hood? Wow. It was one of those filler days again, what with the mopping up at the MC. Though I must have missed why Carly went straight to the hospital and Lucas after her big scene. She really has no one to talk to, does she? Lucky, Elizabeth helped stash a not-so-dead corpse for her last guy. You still have a lot to catch up on. Joss actually came up with a credible story when caught at Cyrus's place. Of course she should become a spy. πŸ™‚
  8. In retrospect, it appears that the writers did an excellent job gradually ruining Drew - starting from right before he met McConkey. I can't believe I was half shipping him with Nina and now... everything about him is gross.
  9. I'm just flaked out watching Major Crimes on StartTv and here is our nuBrennan as the owner of a chain of sleazy-ish sports restaurants that fires its waitresses when they hit 30. πŸ™‚
  10. I think nuBrennan could use more of an edge but I'm not going to judge on his first day. We'll see. Doesn't Deception have a conference room? So stupid to have a big business meeting right in the middle of the MC dining room. But it is an efficient way to get all the gossip aired out. Tracy was having a good time anyway. Remember the old days when we thought Drew going to Congress meant we'd see him less?
  11. The first post is from Nov 5th. I'm not sure if it's still the case but back in the day mods sometimes created topics from older, existing posts (some created and banked for just that purpose). They did this because the forum software wouldn't let you move an existing post into a newer topic created after that post. It doesn't mean this topic wasn't just sitting around unused until it was needed. Just that there might be an alternative explanation for the dates. πŸ™‚
  12. Chris looks really good and I'd be happy to have him if he has even a tiny spark of chemistry with LW. No offense to CMe (who is way too good for GH) but that's the only reason I care about Brennan. He makes Carly almost bearable.
  13. Me, too. I even remember liberal Republicans.
  14. The problem is that no matter what term is used, it won't stay neutral or unbiased for long. Once people online or on mainstream shows start using it with a sneer, its value is compromised. It's never-ending. Then well-intentioned folks get turned on for this kind of stuff and it's a win for the other side. I'm more than happy to use whatever terms the people in question themselves prefer. But as I get older, it can be be hard to keep up.
  15. TIL, export tariffs are a real thing in many countries. Except for the US, where they are prohibited in the Constitution.
  16. Me, too. As much as I complained about Rick and Maya taking over the show, it was never a criticism of her personally. She looks great in the clips. Just a smidgen over 3 weeks to go!
  17. I didn't even notice but I guess his scene with Portia was fresh enough in my mind that it still made sense. (I'd rather have filler with Brad than scenes with at least half of the rest of the cast.)
  18. If it was my custody case, I'd want the judge to know just how much time Avery was spending with the nanny and ex-stepmother - who isn't even in the freaking country. How is Ava worse than that? Sigh. I did have to laugh at Brad though. He was the best part of the episode for me.
  19. I felt a little bit sorry for Chase, the boy was absolutely crushed. But that's about it. The rest was pretty lame. And the only mystery is how long before the Gio reveal... is February a sweeps month?
  20. Back in the day, the Q's had at least Cook and Alice (the wrestling lady?) and a gardener. Maybe a driver? Sasha is cooking multiple meals a day for at least 8 adults*, 2 nannies, a couple of teens and a varying number of kids. That's a full-time job. I'm not a fan of employees telling their boss something isn't their job but Tracy acts like it's Sasha's job to be at her beck and call. It's obnoxious. * Tracy, Ned, Olivia, Lois, BrookLyn, Chase, Dante, Gio, maybe Cody.
  21. Ned sounds like the voice of reason imo. If I had a family member going through a messy breakup, I'd stay out of it unless the kids were in real danger. Michael and Willow were actually kind of behaving like adults until everyone else jumped into the fray. (Starting with Nina, which pains me to say. Not that she ended up being wrong.) Tracy has been written as a one note shrew with Sasha. That's a side of Tracy’s character I liked them leaving behind and I don't welcome it back.
  22. When I use MyChart, it sends me a text message which opens the app and I can open the pdf file in seconds, so that scene seemed fine to me. ** Especially compared to the other legal, medical and geographical nonsense they inflict on us. Today felt like a Friday, with the reveals. But sheesh, talk about the most painful way to get there. Someone needs to tell Tracy that Sasha is not the housekeeper or a maid. When I like Portia more in an episode, there's something wrong. πŸ™‚ ** tbf, sometimes doctors don't allow test results to be visible until they review them, others are automatically available. So I can see how that might seem unrealistic to some.
  23. I hate to defend these writers even a little but a-fib can occur alongside other serious cardiac issues. (Did Sonny ever get a full workup?) If they wanted me to care about Sonny unconscious on the floor, they failed. I might have cared about SMike, though even that would have been iffy after Cates.
  24. Same. While there are a few stories I'm still interested in, I'm also pretty fatalistic about the upcoming Gio reveal. Though if it freed up Chase I might reconsider. That neither Anna or Brennan is aware of Sidwell buying Windermere is really disappointing. While I was originally okay with Sidwell popping in occasionally to create chaos, this isn't what I envisioned. (Or what @statsgirl said.)
  25. It was definitely both, as @methodwriter85 says above. (At one point he spent a lot of time boxing at his gym.)
