  1. Katelyn is picking up some bad habits from CamMat. She really needs to stop that crossing her hands over her heart thing immediately. It's bad enough on him, we don't need both of them doing it. So, is there a pool on how long it takes Lois to spill?
  2. After Gregory's death Chase was the one who held everything together. That took strength. He doesn't look the other way when it comes to the law either. At least not for more than a minute or two. For now, he's a Mac in training. You're right about Ned, of course. But he's done so little scheming outside of the ELQ/CEO thing and he's rock solid for his family. He's aged well, for a Quartermaine. I never considered adding Dante. He's a good dad but honestly, Sonny ruins everything.
  3. I never watched Passions but loved Port Charles. I had wondered if they were the last new soaps.
  4. It is sad, especially with so many people looking forward to his return. But in a way, it feels truthful. Lucky returned to a PC that has moved on from him. If he stays, he has to make amends and a new start. So running away is his default. I would add Ned and Chase to the good guy list. Ned is a bit more gray but he's there for his kids now.
  5. The first time we heard about it, she was panicking because she couldn't get in touch with the guy. But there were a couple of things she said that made it sound like it was due or almost due. It was confusing. A college athletic story hasn't been done in a while, has it? The writers usually gloss over the college years, show classes here and there then the characters graduate in record time. (Or they're offscreen forever.) I'm a bit surprised that Joss and Trina are still in school. Though if they're drinking legally Joss should be close to graduating.
  6. I see what you mean. But Gio as a romantic character has been a dud. And you can't predict chemistry. TA has had a hard time and she didn't deserve that. But it isn't the new kid's fault. Whatever the show's reasons, he deserves the same chance NAC got.
  7. 🙂 It's been a long while since I was a student but as someone who graduated with a good GPA, I get it. By not contributing he was messing with her GRADES! Hell hath no fury like a girl about to lose her 4.0 GPA.
  8. For the newer viewers, Bryan was Scotty's friend from law school and Claudia was a friend of Laura's. (Wasn't Claudia's father well-off and on the hospital board?) The writers incorporated them naturally from what I remember. True, they didnt last a terribly long time but they had a few storylines as young marrieds. I liked them and certainly never viewed them as token diversity characters. But they were among the many victims of Luke and Laura taking the show in a different direction. So adding new characters from the students the younger ones meet in high school and college is a normal thing. Most of them don't stick (like Adam, thankfully). The funniest part of the scene today was how Joss raved about the new guy and his football skills. It was her most animated dialog in ages. If the character of Kai takes off, I'm sure he'll be found to have a PC connection at some point. Until then, I just think it will be nice to have a couple of fresh faces. But I don't understand why it's insulting to Trina to have the new cute guy be a PoC. As an Ashford, she's not in danger of disappearing. And as Joss's friend and Spencer's grieving love interest, she isn't being siloed. And we know Spencer will be recast at some point. Eta: no character can be front and center all the time. Unless you're Carly, of course. Not long after Joss and Trina moved in to their apartment, Joss was upset about something and Gio stuck around to keep her company. There was an awkward moment when it looked like he was about to kiss her but Joss was oblivious. At that point Joss and Dex were kind of on and off. And Gio seemed eager to console Joss. 🤷‍♀️ I have nothing against Gio (in theory) but he has always seemed younger than Trina and Joss.
  9. I agree with you. Gio's boring character is all on the writers. But after writing him as crushing on Joss, I didn't want him for Trina at all. She deserves better.
  10. I was hoping it would debut a little closer to the first of the year. No complaints though, just getting a new soap is incredible.
  11. If this is Robert's exit, it was rushed and done on the cheap and yet, they kinda, sorta attempted to honor his history. At least he got to walk off into the fog and start his last chapter with Holly. It's not what I would have done but considering how frail he looked a few months back, I'll take it.
  12. I don't know... Gio is pretty blah. I wouldn’t wish him on anyone. She got a meet cute with a new guy who seems to have an actual personality. And it's nice to see spunky Trina make an appearance. Though the art major bumping into the star quarterback is clichéd, I can't quibble too much. There's a reason those stories are popular.
  13. I do hope we get some clips soon.
  14. I mostly agree with that assessment but I'll take pathetic closure over none at all at this point.
  15. Anna acting like a jealous girlfriend is not a good look. Oh, Robert. Holly is not inevitable. But if this is your HEA, I guess I can accept it. TR deserves a proper send-off. After losing so many vets, the writers need to be more proactive. And Drew is still gross. Humphrey Bogart he is not.
  16. I was surprised to read that it was a full hour. I kinda thought it would be a companion to The Bold & the Beautiful, which is a half hour.
  17. Leo probably doesn't have any memories of Julian - he was very young when he died. Between that and Ned adopting him, it's not surprising most viewers forget too.
  18. This episode was a letdown. I know we needed a break from the wall-to-wall grieving but Alexis was still the best part. Curtis and Portia were once okay characters but are now approaching Carly and [fill in the blank] levels of obnoxious, both separately and together. (Curtis still has a tiny bit of chemistry with Laura and Nina left.) I don't much like this Lucas either. He doesn't fit with Brad. The recast looks more like Carly's biological sibling than Sam's. Also, way too much Carly in general. I will give SM a thumbs up for a more spunky Sasha than we've seen in ages. But I don't really care. And I like Sasha more than most. Eta: Sorry for the negativity. I can't tell if it's just my general state of mind or if the episode was simply that annoying.
  19. I wondered too. Sam might have left an interest in it to Dante but more likely her kids will inherit it thru some kind of trust. There's also the issue of Maxie's family living in Lulu's house. They're renting, right? Or did Dante sell it? I only vaguely remember the angst when Sam and Dante decided to cohabitate but not the details. Finn's apartment is empty. Chase and Brook Lynn need to go back to their own place but it's too small for the family they want to start. Surely someone is going to get a new home set? But will Dante want to stay there without Sam? I agree someone will end up there but we might be in for a round of musical houses by the time Lulu is on her own again.
  20. I am still grossed out by the memory of Michael and Willow sneaking away to have sex during Wiley's birthday party.
  21. Sweeps aren't over yet, so don't get too comfortable. 🙂 On one level I'm also enjoying the trashy soapiness. And DZ and NLG are breaking my heart. Sam's death will reverberate for years, no doubt. What else can you ask for with a daytime drama? At least we still have Carly, providing warmth and wisdom everywhere she goes. /s
  22. Sasha did finally talk (awkwardly) to Willow after agonizing about it and discussing it with Cody. Willow blamed it on getting caught up in the fireworks and assured her that it wasn't a big deal. What I'm not recalling is how Cody knew about Drew and Nina.
  23. Eww. Eww. Eww. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Turned on the TV to catch the preview before I queued up the dvr. Can someone pass the brain bleach?
  24. I thought they also had a brief run-in at the Metro Court.
  25. I'd mostly forgotten this. But that guy had followed Isaiah from Africa. Still seems farfetched for Sidwell's people to go after Lulu and Sam (and leave Jason and Lucky untouched) but whatever. I have a feeling any answer will be equally unsatisfying.
