It's not exactly an era of non-suckitude but the streaming GH channel on my Roku is interesting since I missed the whole Dawn of Day era. Cult stories aren't my thing yet there on my screen is Billy Miller, Leslie Charleson and original Molly and Kristina. Chase and Willow are together and even kind of hot. Joss and Oscar aren't even annoying, though the fact he's at deaths door helps.

Drew has finally proven he's a real Quartermaine though. He threw Willow under the bus just to foil Ned over ELQ. Edward would be so proud.

Technically, maybe. But it was an innocent mistake - she was captivated by Cody's vision of a horse farm and animal rescue. She was in love and let her enthusiasm overrule her good sense. Michael handled it well but coming after Tracy's nastiness over the brunch debacle her reaction just seemed really personal. Maybe it's just my dislike of Sasha being the Q's live-in cook. I've come to enjoy the kinder, gentler Tracy. Acerbic Tracy slipping out may be okay once in awhile but I don't miss autocratic Tracy.

This felt like a Friday episode in a lot of ways. Temp Michael didn't matter to me - I'll never miss CD's slack-jawed reactions to anything. Tracy is a hypocrite though. It was fine for stablehand Cody to slug a Q family member in public but Sasha feeling out Michael for a loan is getting above her station? (Should we take bets if Sasha quits right before Thanksgiving so that the now miserable Q pizza tradition can go on?) The scenes with Sam and Dante were sweet.

If it was short notice, like a trip to the doctor or dentist, it would cost them money to cancel a block, since the crew and other cast is already lined up and they wouldn't have enough time to set up something else. (I'm assuming union rules would mean everyone would still get paid if they cancel within a certain time period.) Meeting their tight budget seems to be the main reason GH is still on the air. They do have some decent subs on call.

I thought she and Sasha talked about it but could be misremembering. I doubt she knows Sasha confided in Cody. Also, Willow doesn't know that Nina and Drew are friends with benefits. That's probably going to come back and bite Nina. Ned might be losing his leverage with Drew though. At this rate, it will end up on the front page and I'm ready with the popcorn.

I'm glad they played the flashback because I'd forgotten that Sasha told him. But Cody slugging Drew made my day. 🙂

I don't blame you and the story details are so bad they might as well have just put up a title card saying "Yes it doesn't make any sense and we don't care." But. They kinda wrote themselves into a corner redeeming Sasha and Cody. They're not offensive - together or separately (I like them both) but no one really cares if they dropped off the face of the earth either. Making them Scorpios is lazy writing but on the bright side the Scorpios aren't the most prolific clan. Robin coming back doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon. Maxie and Spinelli are filler these days and her kids aren't quite old enough yet to be interesting. Sasha will give Robert a bit more screen time, at least. Cody will be available to delay the inevitable Lante reunion. 🤷♀️ Personally I would have rather had more Wards or AJ kids but I understand the choices. Eta: I'm usually a glass half-empty kind of person so I'm a little surprised not to really care that Sasha is a Scorpio.

Robin Mattson could be a steely b!tch but she also had a softer, vulnerable side that I never see with AM's Heather. And tbh, I couldn't see her as Franco or Esme's mother either. But... I can see her as this Steven's mother. Too bad Curtis's dumb plan won't work.
-
That was a very odd way to bring Steven Lars back. Curtis is almost as dumb as Portia when it comes to Trina. Trina is more mature than either/both of her parents.
-
We agree on that. If the writers want to keep Sasha in the kitchen, they need to move her to a restaurant or a startup for some kind of specialty food. (Not relish!)

OTOH, Michael isn't her employer just because he's a Q. I doubt he signs her paycheck. She doesn't have to curtsy to every member of the family and the mansion isn't Buckingham Palace. That whole scene with Tracy bugged me, obviously. 🙂 Michael, Willow, Chase and Sasha are friends. Or were, for years. Was it awkward? Yes, especially since Cody only had just come up with the idea and didn't have a business plan or anything concrete. Michael handled it well* and didn't seem to be offended, though I suppose he's had years of practice. I do sympathize with people who get hit up by everyone if they're wealthy or connected in a popular industry. * I'm just shocked to have anything nice to say about Michael.

That would perhaps explain the upcoming Steven Lars visit. I'm not sure how I feel about the possibility. I wouldn't miss Ally Mills but I would feel a pang for Heather and the link to the past. I still remember Diana and Peter, Heather and Alice, the LSD and all that stuff. Sigh.

I wasn't watching regularly back then so I trust your memory. But once they screwed up Luke and Laura's backstory, we shouldn't be surprised they would do it again with Robert and Anna. The only true thing about any of this is that both Luke and Robert were in love with Holly at some point. I suppose for these writers that's enough. 😒
-
Tbh, trying to figure out who was where, who was presumed dead and who was on-screen gives me a massive headache. It was over 30 years ago and while I may not like it, I'll reluctantly roll with it. (Unless it's a massive retcon like Luke cheating on Laura. Still ticked off about that.) The retcons that annoy me more are things we just saw in the last couple of years. This show likes to gaslight us.
-
I'm pretty sure the WSB already has Luke's dna on file. But yeah, the other way that could happen is if Holly was confronted with the results and then belatedly realized the other potential candidate. They've ruined the Luke/Holly relationship anyway with Ethan so why not Sasha too? 🤷♀️ The main reason I'm still considering Luke is that I've enjoyed Robert's reaction to Sasha potentially being his daughter and that's usually a blinking red sign not to get too invested. 🙂
-
It would be fun if Sasha stole them from Holly to buy Serenity for Cody.
-
I hope not. While it isn't quite "Harold and Maude" levels of weird, it would hurt both of their characters. One of Tracy's biggest strengths is her steadfast friendships with select individuals. Cody's, too. My fear is they've set up this paternity reveal to show that Sasha isn't Robert's but instead Luke's daughter so Tracy can be ashamed of treating Sasha like crap.

I like the character of Lulu but agree that she really isn't needed other than to fill out the almost non-existent Spencer family. (And no matter what Carly calls herself, she doesn't really count.) Of course, if Cody and Sasha are cousins, what are the odds we may be headed to a Cody/Lulu/Dante triangle? Eta: not that this triangle might not be watchable but the late 20s to early 40s age group is really stagnant on GH.

OLTL Outside Llanview: The Cast In Other Roles
tessaray replied to Chairperson Meow's topic in One Life To Live
It was so close to the end they didn't really have time to do much with it. But they were cute as siblings. It's funny how AS and JK have no chemistry now on GH. -
I just assumed she looked at PC as a safe place to stay while she arranged to unload Sidwell's diamonds.** She didn't know until catching up with Felicia that Cody was a Scorpio or that Sasha was working for the Qs. I did think it was amusing that Holly seemed thrown by the idea of Sasha doing dishes. ** By stealing the diamonds, Holly has already gotten the pilot who flew them from Africa killed, so this is the tail end of the con she was running on Sidwell. As far as we know there isn't a new one started but with Holly, you never know.
-
I must have misinterpreted the writers intent because I thought making Sasha a Scorpio was their attempt to make her relevant. 🙂 Totally agree that Sasha as Nina's daughter would have been so much better.
-
I wondered about that too. They implied that the first respirator was inexplicably defective and now the second one might be off? I wouldn't object to an angel of death story but they're not very good at juggling multiple major storylines. I've read too many historical novels to be upset about Cody and Sasha. They can just move to California and live happily ever after.
-
Connecting Sasha was going to happen eventually, since tptb like her but making her a Scorpio is even more contrived than usual. It seems unbelievable that Holly would have kept a kid from Robert. Luke either, for that matter considering she already did that with Ethan. But I'm a little intrigued. It's been ages since I've actually looked forward to the next episode.

At least Danny and Scout are Monica's grandkids. I love Laura but am still shaking my head at Ace being there.
