  1. Diamonddoll I am right there with you on Juliette and the baby. This woman who does not even have a pet despite being a vet, has never exhibited any maternal attitudes at all, suddenly knows exactly what a baby needs better than the mother. I can see Adalind not wanting to ask for a dry blanket from these people, but it doesn't mean she didn't know her baby needed one. Honestly Adalind has demonstrated adequate concern and care for her child that it was not necessary for Juliette to be all uppity. It is clearly a set up for Juliette and Nick to become the guardians of the baby of destiny ala Ma and Pa Kent. As for the wedding dress, thanks for the explanation of why it had to cover so much of Rosalee. But that doesn't mean it had to look so hideous. There are plenty of long sleeved, high necked dressed that are quite beautiful. This was not one of them.
  2. Any episode with Ensign Ro in it on Star Trek the Next Generation. But especially the alternate universe one where she and Riker were married. Just ugh. My least liked character married to my most liked one. Honestly, I can see they wanted to add to the cast and maybe have someone be less than the perfect. But did they have to make her so darn unlikeable?
  3. Knowing this show Willie is some sort of Wesen that is known for its singing.
  4. Holy Schnikies was this the "tie up loose threads" episode or what? What happened to the ring and the proposal? Check. Still waiting while they adjust. How do they know Nick is a Grimm? Check. Eyes of infinite darkness. It is apparently quite unsettling. But sunglasses solve the problem. Does Juliette know Adalind was the one responsible for her come? Check. That would be a hell yes. Does Adalind know Nick's mom kiled her mom? Check. Apparently not. The Royals storyline seems so disconnected from the Portland action. Check. Oh look everyone is heading to Portland. Why is this baby so important? Check. Child of destiny. The coins? Not checked, but wanna bet they have something to do with the child of destiny? Because sometimes people just follow someone no one knows why. Why did millions follow an uneducated Austrian corporal who had weak lungs from being gassed in WWI? Because he had the coins. Please though, don't let the final showdown ruin Monroe and Rosalee's wedding. They deserve some nice quiet time before they have to help Nick save the world. And WTF is it with costume designers and fugly wedding dresses. I know it was her grandmother's but that dress was NOT flattering to Rosalee. She is a tiny woman, she was lost in that dress. Not as bad as the Castle dress but not stop and gasp gorgeous as implied either.
  5. It's scenes like that why I think the wedding will never happen. He found out that his dream girl has no there, there. That his AList friends will shun her. She found out that pregnancy is not as much as it looks on tv. But even after the baby was born, she thought she and Kanye would play house together. Instead she is essentially a single mom where the dad shows up for a walk every so often then disappears. Granted a single mom with a nanny and assistants, but she thought it would be her and Kanye having photo ops with Kompass then both of them handing the baby off to a nanny. Both are very disillusioned and trying to figure a way out that won't hurt their respective images more.
  6. I hope it ends the way Eureka ends. Just another day in a really weird town, and life will go on, we just don't get to check in on them almost destroying civilization anymore. I want to believe that the Warehouse will continue with Pete, Myka, Claudia and Artie doing their job rounding up dangerous (and not so dangerous) artificats.
  7. Yeah last week the Machine is so precise it can send Root to the exact moment she needs to be there, but this week can't get Reese and Shaw to the first Number in even time to keep her from getting into the cab. In other words, the Machine is as precise as the writers need it to be that episode.
  8. Just argh. A few weeks back we had Chumlee as the king of practical jokes. Cory couldn't get him no matter what. Chum was just too good. Now for April Fool's day (which you know was filmed months ago) Chum is suddenly so stupid he doesn't even know that April Fool's pranks are only for April Fool's day. And the best he can come up with is to tell the intern she can have the day off. Oh hahahahahha, My sides are busting from laughing so hard. NOT. Just stick to the stuff being pawned. Leave out the "family" storylines. I want to see the cool stuff that no other pawn shop in Vegas handles and hear the history of it.
  9. As we say over on the Little House thread "And these are family shows."
  10. I can't believe CBS didn't pull this episode after what happened at Ft. Hood today. But seriously, LVPD doesn't have metal detectors? Or the cops wearing vests. Most law enforcement are required to wear them on duty -- even in the police station. And good grief, the writers are really running out of ideas if they can come up with is yet another CSI in peril storyline.
  11. Are you kidding me? Rudolph: Santa is narrow minded idiot who encourages others to be as narrow minded as he is. Little Drummer Boy: His parents are murdered by soldiers. The lamb dies (he gets better) Nestor the Long Haired Christmas Donkey: Nestor's mamma dies saving him from freezing to death (she does not get better). One of my all time favorites. The First Christmas Snow: Little Boy is blinded by a lightening strike (he gets better) Jack Frost: Kubla Khan keeps everyone so poor they need to use "ice money." Then Jack Frost falls for a mortal woman, and loses her to a golden knight (pronounced Night) after killing Kubla Khan and his K-nigits. The Year Without a Santa Claus: Santa wants a break until a little girl writes him a very sad letter (with an amazing crayon that writes two letters at once) Here Comes Santa Claus: The baby Claus is taken out to the woods to be left to die (obviously doesn't happen), then is arrested by the Burgomeister Meisterburger and has to become a fugitive. Oh and the soliders burn the Kringle/Winter Warlock home. Peter Rabbit: Irontail takes over Easter and it is not a good thing. That's all the ones I can think of right away.
  12. May We Bake Them Brown is one of my favorite alternate titles. Don't forget "Ma Cuts Off Her Leg."
  13. Root wouldn't think to call. People are broken code to her. She doesn't care what happens to them. She uses them to achieve her ends. Remember the guy she busted out jail just to use him as a lookalike to get a package? Very little thought to the consequences of that. Same here. If anything, the Machine realized she hadn't warned her buddies and made her call. Would have preferred Reese go to the reunion with Zoe. They work well together. She is just a badass as he is, but is more civilized about her profession. She knows how to use full sentences unlike Shaw.
  14. Not Portia (obvioulsy) It's from Jack Frost. Kubla Khan and his main Knight (pronounced Kanigit) are checking out the hot chick from his castle. ABCFamily tends to play that one at 7a.m. on a Saturday during their 25 Days of Christmas. My favorite song from that one is "It's just what I always wanted."
  15. Rankin Bass means holidays to me. Not just Christmas either. I would kill to get the Easter one narrated by Danny Kaye. What I hate is how they release them on DVD. The popular ones are released with one obscure one. THen to get another obscure one, you have to buy the new release of the popular one. So you wind up with 40 Rudolphs just to get one Little Drummer Boy part II.
  16. The Grissom/Sara divorce was bad. Why bother to have them married at all? Or once they went there, they should have just stuck with the long distance relationship even after Peterson made it clear he would not do anymore guest appearances. I almost dropped the show with the Super Ray years. Then they saved it with the introduction of DB. Then they ruined that character with his granddaughter being kidnapped. That, plus SuperShue and WonderMorgan are just too much. Now that Brass is leaving, I have to wonder if Nick and Greg are enough to keep me going. And considering TPTB have always dumped on Greg Eads, I don't figure he will be long for the show either.
  17. All I want to know is what is the Vegas line on the Wedding actually happening? I honestly don't believe they will make it down the aisle. Kanye has discovered that getting the woman of his "dreams" is not all it is cracked up to be. Kim is just going along with whatever she is told to do but is probably not happy that the father of her child prefers to be in another country most of the time. Nor did he jump to her defense when she was called a whore after Vienna. (P.S. Still trying to get the word FameStrumpet accepted as a descriptor of this family).
  18. I was in Atlanta this weekend visiting family. We went to the Atlanta history center. They had a genuine Civil War supply wagon. The guide said most of the wagons were then sold by the government after the war to the settlers who used them to settle the west. The guide mentioned the Little House books and Laura specifically. I, of course, immediately thought of all you all. I looked at the size of that wagon, turned to my dad and said "Can you imagine traveling for months with your entire family and all your wordly goods in one of those things? Those suckers are SMALL. Like compact car small when all is said and done. In my Little House on the Prairie Quilt Book, the author said she had visited the Plum Creek Museum and seen the sod house where they all lived. She said it was the size of a freight elevator. Imagine, Uptight Ma, Pa and his beard, Prisspot Mary, Laura and Carrie all living in a space that size. No wonder you heard stories of folks just going nuts of offing people.
  19. Whew, I made it. Had to walk 100 miles to do it, but didn't have to blow up an chinese people.
