Good Humor toasted almond bars and the coconut bars too (coconut covered vanilla ice cream). Are Creamsicles still around? I haven't seen them in years.

Hmmm...for that first TS, I said dalit or sweepers. Forgot about untouchables, but I think they're all the same. Wonder if I'd have been given credit for dalit. I cannot believe they didn't hear me screaming "sponge" over and over ad nauseum. This was a very strange game.

Here's another "rule" (or rude thing to do): not staying to the right on the escalator. If you're not on the very right side, people can't dash up the escalator's steps. Dashing up an escalator's steps is very dangerous--not only to oneself but also to others.

After I jotted down White Sox, I thought of the Black Sox. Wasn't there a scandal with that team?

Adios, Josh. I was just beginning to like ya. Thank goodness Brooke won tonight. I could not have endured Megan a minute more. Got FJ...was thinking of Argentinian steaks on the grill. Some of the TS 's were stunning: noblesse oblige, Cher, John Hinkley? Especially Cher & Hinkley!

For some reason, this never bothered me. Maybe because Ashley wasn't just skating from one element to the next; she was telling a story, skating as the character (sort of like Sale/Pelletier making the theme from Love Story interesting so it wasn't annoying--to me-- when they used it again in '02). But I do recall groaning when Butryskia hauled out Otonal for another miserable year of listening to that wobbly recording.

Didn't these euphemisms start with the fantastic "pre-owned" car ads? How many years ago was that? It still bugs me!

Whenever H/D are skating, I remind my surprised self that they're one of the USA teams. I never feel like they're fellow Americans. Sure hope it's C/B on the team (in the team event). DD & his partner can go practice on a private rink during that special team competition (again!)

I finally got to see some of season 4. But it came after several earlier season shows (including dear old Lance). I think I've put my finger on the change. I know it's early in the "year" as S4 begins, but a lot of the commradery is missing. It seems to be all business. No making chowdah (by Dixie). No taking a break on the shore of the lake to grill & eat hot dogs. It will be interesting to see if these heartwarming scenes appear later in the season.

One of these days, US figure skating will finally see the light re: the Kneirems (it's always something).

I wrote poet laureate for FJ...and thought that it was correct. Wasn't it? Sad to see Travis go. Such a nice & fun contestant. I've noticed lately that Jeopardy has become more viewer friendly. Shots of the audience, little comments from the contestants (after they miss an answer), Travis's son shown a few times, etc. Thinking back, it used to be much more serious and formal. I like the change.

He was dirty re: the 2002 O's scandal, was suspended, and then (foolishly) let back in.

Has there ever been such a low amount that a champ has won over the years? Tonight's game was strange, IMO.

Schlitz! Now I remember those ads, with the tall "V" shaped glass filled with beer, topped with foam. And a male voice would say, "Schlitz--the beer that made Milwaukee famous". Who knew that an old TV ad would some day help me name a state during Jeopardy. Thanks, proserpina65☺️

I think Jake Tapper was a TS because these contestants are most likely working when his show is on.

Yay, Travis! I was pulling for him cause he was at 0 for so long. I was sure the ER dr was going to be the new champ (I'm sure it was nerves but his swaying was makin' me seasick!). Did anyone else get FJ? I never heard of this designated place for animals...thought it was created during the Vietnam war. I did ok in Jeopardy, better than dbl Jeopardy. Loved pulling up onomotopeia out of my brain + recalling the ad, "the beer that made Milwaukee famous" (no idea if that was Pabst, though!)

Oh, Lawdy... runny eggs. I recall an episode on Barefoot Contessa in which she cooked, then served rather wet scrambled eggs. I love her shows & recipes but have never forgotten those runny eggs. Mine are always fluffy...never wet.

I never think of serving angel food cake...until I have it with whipped cream and fresh fruit. It truly is Heavenly!

I dunno...at Chris's age, he might be nodding off by 11:00 (I know I am!) But hasn't Hardball been taken over by group discussions only during the impeachment trial? I didn't see it as others sort of auditioning for his job. Maybe I haven't been paying close attention, though. Hmmmm.

Heck...so we're a trophy lovin' country. I'm just glad this team keeps rising so quickly (unlike the days when his parents had to wait their turn behind the unappealing, IMO, B&B).

I totally took that question as a joke. (that's probably what I might have said). It was funny & very unusual for this show. The champ seemed calmer tonight (not irritating, at least to me).
