I Once Took A Donkey And Some Honeycomb Into... : Jokes!

I don’t know how to use TikTok. But I can write in cursive, do long division, & tell time on clocks with hands… so, there’s that. -
Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"

Yup. I had to be careful (and still do!) re: the shows I watched as a kid involving animals. Let's just face it, fellow teary-eyed folks: we're good people and love (and want to protect) animals. -
Once in a great while, I'll stop by McDonald's and get the original burger, small fries & small Coke. It's my culinary nostalgia trip, back to my teens.

Amen! They earn their pay.

Yup. Jeff, Sunny & Katie can be a bit much when together, especially Jeff & Sunny. A little too much personality for one studio kitchen.

I'll miss the home shows & doubt I'll be able to endure the studio version. The few studio shows I've watched always seem to have her screaming at least once & it always makes me jump out of my skin. Wish they'd give her a show and replace her with a somewhat quieter chef or cook. I'll miss the home shows & doubt I'll be able to endure the studio version. I was watching a rerun of The Kitchen today. Bobby Flay was the special guest. Someone asked him about his new book (I think this was in 2017?) and he started to talk about it being about his fitness routine, how chef's have to be careful, etc. Katie Lee suddenly pipe up, recalling Bobby coming to her gym, turning red in the face after just a few exercises and leaving early. I guess it's a good thing they're old friends. He looked mortified (something you don't see often, if at all, when it comes to His Eminence!) There used to be a recurring skit on the first year or two of SNL, called The Loud Family. Everyone--Mom, Dad, the kids--all talked casually, using incredibly loud voices. Now that was hilarious. The Kitchen's loudness sure isn't. Yikes.

I bet every creature on this planet gets nervous when she/he/it encounters a police dog. Those are *serious* canines (but I've always loved looking at them...so beautiful). -

Sometimes, someone unexpected comes into your life out of nowhere, makes your heart race, and changes you forever. We call those people...cops. I threw a boomerang many years ago. I now live in constant fear. -
He's cuttin' & pastin' the PV video as we post.

I'm tellin' ya...some of the frames people select are so awful. Dr Gupta (the MSNBC Gupta) looks so strange whenever he wears his specs. I guess I'm weird cause I can't look at him when he's wearing them. I've noticed several other TV news folks, usually women, wearing *enormous* frames. They look like cartoons wearing exaggerated glasses for comic effect.

Thanks! Pasta w/ Asiago & butter sounds quite tasty to me. We picked up the meal (no extra fee from grub hub & the food was still hot). I hope your stomach's mood improves.

Lots of variety in programs during the free dance. The Ukrainians were so acrobatic & entertaining--if they never medal at international events, I bet they'll still have a future in shows. By the time Sinitsina/Katsalapov began their program, I was ready for non-angsty music & dance. NK is my favorite ice dancer but I see that he's dropped all the OTT drama (it was time). To the people wearing masks below their schnozzolas...you don't get any points. I found that really irritating. Your nose is the source of potential viral droplets.

Last night we celebrated our anniversary by getting dinner from Coastal Flats, a favorite restaurant nearby. I had Crispy Two Noodle With Shrimp Salad, and MrP914 had a crab sandwich plus their chopped salad with buttermilk dressing. Love their food!

Olympic Channel at 4:30 PM today, the Free Dance from Cup of Russia.

Jeff's stromboli looked good and it was nice to see his taste testers (neighbors). Katie's casserole looked good too. So, what did the baby shirt say?

It's funny how the two canned versions of cranberry mean so much to people. At an old recipe site I used to frequent, posters discussed that they had to have several cranberry dishes available (starting with the jellied version!)or a war would start.

Well, I didn't see it mentioned at any time before, during, or after Skate America. Something like a concussion would've normally been babbled about endlessly during SA.
-
So, something *did* affect their training. That excuse they gave for not entering Skate America (something about how they just needed to train more) IMO, seemed weak, coming from the US champs. I'm so glad Madison is ok, and has been back on the ice. Can't wait to see their new programs.

Actually, I started to say he's so *earnest* but couldn't remember how to spell the word so that it wasn't a man's name. Sheesh...is it Christmas yet?
-
Awww...love this guy! He's so "for real".

I frequently order chicken curry from our nearby Chinese restaurant...now I've got a hankering for it!!!

We had Giada's Lemon Spaghetti with Shrimp and it was really good. I've made it before. Love frying the capers (10-15 seconds)...makes me feel like a chef for some reason. Next time I think I'll cut back a teence with the lemon juice.

Homemade chicken soup...used up carrots, celery, onion, and a rotisserie chicken.

I don't know much about him as I couldn't watch the show (except a few times--so loud!) until they started the new format. He seemed to be an ok guy, but I was surprised to hear him refer to the ham as an "Iron Chef ham". That was pompous, for sure.
