Thank you so much! That IS an answer LOL ... that I'm not crazy and that they promo'd an episode for a certain date and time that did not, in fact, run ... very much looking forward to that episode when it DOES air, even though it addresses some of my biggest fears (not fearful enough to not be planning a move to Southern Cal in two years, but still ...)

Hoping this is the right place to ask this and apologies if it's something that simply slipped through my memory files (this happens post-stroke/TGAs in the weirdest ways, I just lose "clips" for lack of a better word) ... Was watching this current week's episode of "The Resident" last night and in a "NEXT on FOX!" promo during one of the breaks it teased that night's episode of "9-1-1" with scenes and a storyline I have NO recollection of ... lots of houses on fire and a plane coming in to dump foam. Now, unless I'm crazy, that night's ep was actually "Chimney Begins," right? (9-1-1 is must-see TV for me and I'll always watch the new ep before some other shows) ... Does anyone know when this episode (with the fires) aired, or if it has aired, or what is up with that?

Paradise Hotel (US) - General Discussion
PamelaMaeSnap replied to OnceSane's topic in Paradise Hotel (US)
May 9!!!! Just saw first ad for it ... Game on! How much of the old gang is still here (under new or old names)? Whatever happened to Periwinkle (I think that was the forumite who sent roses to Charla, no???) I vow to behave, Once Sane! (That said, if they ever bring Toddlers and Tiaras back to air, I can't promise the same). -

Apologies if this is not an appropriate post here but I saw an ad last night that stopped me in my tracks ... and I've always associated these two shows since the olden days of TWoP ... Debuting this May: The return/reformation of ... Paradise Hotel! Yahtzee! ETA: Sorry ... Mambo Queen was way ahead of me on this news back in January!- 746 replies

Amen. Love all three but especially Hen. In fact, she may be one of my favorite characters on prime time TV, period.

I was glad they had the pre-show warning ... do they always do that? ... because face lift lady was just flat out gross. So this episode made me laugh, get teary-eyed (parent reunions with the kids), and cheer out loud (bad ass Athena when the train doors opened), and want to puke ... the whole gamut of emotions! Not sure if they're going to continue the storyline about Athena's mom, but did anyone else get vibe they might be in town because her dad is ill? The close-up shot of him had him looking tired and gaunt with stubble ... though maybe just life with mom did that. I love this show so much

I actually squealed "Swaaaaaatch!!!!" When they showed that cutie. And sitting here watching some Wofford NCAA action this weekend couldn't help think their mascot reminds me of Swatch!

My two cents: I confess I was not a big fan of Christian Siriano during his active competitive days but he has 100% won me over these first few weeks in his new role. I think/suspect/hope that since he's seeing pretty much everything between designers that comes down in the workroom etc. he's sharing it with the judges to a much greater degree than Tim did. I have detested Sunshine Rainbow Unicorn since the moment she vomited her aesthetic onscreen but as of this week I hate her pretty much more than any contestant since I started watching back in the day. I look forward to seeing her massively smacked down. Tessa is a reasonably close second re: designers I want to see unceremoniously aufed. No argument with either of the aufs first two weeks. Glad Cavanaugh went first just because her air of superiority deserved the inaugural "you suck." FTR, my favorite design these first two weeks in terms of awesome was definitely Sebastian's gown this week. BUT the one I'd buy in a heartbeat was Kovid's flowy chiffon gown in Week 1.

Bailing Out of Season 2: Who's the Worst?
PamelaMaeSnap replied to Drogo's topic in Love After Lockup
I think different people will define "worst" in their minds in different ways (which is fine). So, say, for me, if I define "worst" as an evil, mean-spirited, conceited, stupid hussy harlot whose opinion of herself is WAY beyond what she really is, then it's Lizzie by a landslide. If I define "worst" as the most pathetic, spineless, clearly soft in the head person who really should for all intents and purposes not even have been allowed to BE on this show, then it's Clint. And lucky me, I got to use both definitions for the two categories. But Scott would have been a close second runner-up to Clint, walking away with a stained shabby banner made from the snippings from that oversized car ribbon and a bouquet of teef. I'm on the very short list that disliked Marcelino pretty much the least of all ... the way he was with Brittany's son scored a lot of points with me. And somehow I missed the famous/infamous plate scene so maybe that's why he doesn't bug me. -
I know it's a tiny quibble but when the same actor is showing up simultaneously in similarly-themed procedurals (even in a one-off part in this case) it throws me off for a minute ... the actor who plays the unnamed baby daddy (MR. Hall on Wiki, "Sir Hall" on IMDB so maybe his name is "Sir"?) has a running guest-star arc on "The Resident" as Micah/Mycah, Okafor's boyfriend (one of my favorite characters) so when he showed up at the hospital all bruised and injured, my reaction was "MICAH!!! SQUEEEE!!!" That said, at this point, I'm not sure there's a union actor anywhere in Hollywood that has NOT appeared on "Grey's" at one point or another.

Can't help but thinking what a great spinoff special season to The Amazing Race this would make ... Of course, given some of the threesomes, we'd have to get a little creative but I'll give the cast a go: Clint and Tracie (drama: finding the 21K rental car) Megan and Sarah (drama: airport holdup when carryon with hair products is over allotted weight) Lizzie and Scott (drama: busted at a border segment as all of her hoohas are searched and eight-year-old cheez whiz falls out of her crack) Jazmyne and Adam (drama: sadsacks falling in love while searching for parental approval then split over their parents' contentious relationship) Caitlin and Matt (drama: more car trouble, plus an unexpected detour when Matt accidentally leaves Caitlin's mom's ashes in an alley while getting a crack fix and they have to go back and get it, and subsequently gives the wrong envelope, the one with the ashes, to the pizza delivery guy) Brittany and Amanda (drama: none because they're Just Friends, y'all!) Marcellino and Michael (drama: alpha male vs omega male who turn out to be long-lost father and son) Angela and Tony (drama: obligatory first elimination because no one remembers them even though they've been on two seasons) I'd totally be down with adding the couples from season one if they're not in jail ...

Perhaps she inspired the great song "Do You Know The Difference Between Big Wood and Brush" (perhaps slightly off-topic but worth a listen ... I think you can find it on YouTube) ... Because, you know, just running over someone's foot isn't REALLY any big whoop. He's got another one. Re: Sarah's "blaccent" ... I find this conversation and theories about it to be really fascinating. I've long wondered how regional accents come about ... I mean, it's not genetic, right? So it must have something to do with the people you are surrounded by ... your family, your teachers, your friends? Trust me, the last thing I want to do is make any excuses for Cabbage Patch Sarah, who I cannot stand. But I could see why it could happen. My parents were odd exceptions which may be why I have virtually NO New York accent (at least I don't think I do). My mom grew up in the Bronx (around World War II) but had virtually NO "NY accent." Both of her parents were Russian-born (Ukraine now but they still called it Russian back then) and retained very strong Russian accents until they died in their late 80s. My dad grew up on Long Island and in NYC, Russian dad and mom who grew up in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and also had zero accent (his dad died young so I have no idea if he still had an accent ... my grandmother definitely didn't). Sorry to babble ... I'm gonna miss these crazy folks on my screen after next week ... just discovered the show and love reading the posts here (how did I live before PTV/TWoP???) ... Special hugs to Drogo ❤️

My theory on Clint and the aforementioned but unexplained "15 years" is that's when his mother accidentally dropped him on his head. Sure, he was probably about 25 at the time but she seems pretty overprotective so it's possible. There are a lot of awful awful awful people on this show, but Clint is just so clearly sad and disturbed that I feel icky just watching his angst and agony. With Lizzie, OTOH, there is no smackdown big enough that it will satisfy my desire to see her squished like a cockroach.

I preface this by saying I did not do any rewinding to rewatch anything specific but the impression I got during the Caitlin in the Hotel Room scene was that it was a timelapse sequence, an editor-monkey's version of the "pages flying off of the wall calendar" or "hands swirling around the clock" ... but in this case it was Caitlin in her black jumpsuit on the bed alone, then on the bed with one pizza box, then on the bed with two pizza boxes and then on the bed with three pizza boxes and more and more of a mess of detritus all while wearing the same stinky black jumpsuit. And it made me want pizza. Am I terrible to admit that the only adult person I actually LIKE on this show right now is Marcellino (who, may I add, looks damned good for 40)?

S07.E09: All Inclusive
PamelaMaeSnap replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Project Runway All Stars
I'm not really surprised that I pretty much detest every single one of the current crop (at least those I saw on their original seasons) ... after all, they had pretty much all of my favorites over the last two seasons. That said, I cannot get Irina or Michelle off my screen soon enough but I suspect as many of you suggest I'm stuck with them for the duration. Always thought Michelle was a hack and Irina such a bitch that I couldn't even TRY to like anything she did. Dmitry is the closest we come to my having someone I actually liked, or more specifically weirdly GREW to really like over time ... but he does not look well at all. He's always had that drawn dour look but until now I found him inexplicably sexy ... now he looks like a vampire on a bender. I was so disappointed with the gender-neutral challenge results. There was so much more they could have done with them ... And not for nothing (and I know he was never a champion so didn't qualify for this) but my all-time favorite Fabio would have ROCKED this challenge. -
I died. Slow-clapped the editors. And knew in my heart someone would post about it here. Also, Save Sparkles. Also also, "scrummage" should totally be added to the dictionary. ETA: Apparently it IS a word. My bad. I thought he was mixing up "scrum" and "scrimmage" which pretty much is what it means. Sorry, Sad Sam. Didn't mean to assume you didn't know what you were talking about.

Temptation Island (2019) - General Discussion
PamelaMaeSnap replied to OnceSane's topic in Temptation Island (2019)
Because my taste is a little strange, I will say that while Javen is unbelievably hot -- or, more specifically, unbelievably handsome (I don't get a lot of animal sex appeal, maybe because of the "don't touch me and I won't touch you" vibe) and indeed IMHO the handsomest guy there, if I had to pick one guy on this show to be stranded on a desert island with, it would definitely be Jack. While I am too old now to really have a type (other than Mr. Snappy, as we come up on 35 years of marriage), when I was young and wild and DID have a "type" (and a pulse), Jack is pretty much its epitome (and did I imagine this or is he also a nice Jewish boy? Bonus points if so). And I like his personality from what we're finally seeing of it. -
But "You're The One That I Want" was not in the stage musical, only the movie! I believe it technically "replaced" the "All Choked Up" number from the stage show. Several songs were replaced from show to film ("Raining On Prom Night" was replaced by "Hopelessly Devoted To You," for example). "Grease" (the song) was not in the show either. Coincidentally or not (I suspect not), NONE of the "singles" released from the film were in the show itself.

As long as we're talking anachronisms how about dance routine to You're The One That I Want taking place 7 years before movie was released?

Criminal Minds Analysis: Profile The Show
PamelaMaeSnap replied to mstaken's topic in Criminal Minds
I've been bingewatching a lot of the earlyish seasons (that's what's on ION and the other networks) and yes, I JUST watched that episode "The Black Queen"). It wasn't complaining per se about Garcia ... it was a "workplace harassment" seminar for the BAU with the examples specifically being banter phrases between Garcia and Morgan ... Did we the viewers ever find out what "flarpy blunderguff" was? THAT is the one question I hope they answer in the series finale. -

If Javen and Shari don't make it through, he needs to be the next Bachelor. -
GEICO has an ad campaign going on currently where viewers vote for their favorite GEICO ad from years past ... Larry the Camel is one of them (and I believe it's leading the polls). They've been showing a few of them. I confess I actually voted (for Maxwell the Pig with the pinwheel ... I actually use the soundbite for that to alert me when Mr. Snappy or Little Snappy text me ... since neither texts often I haven't gotten sick of it yet).

AMAZED this has not happened more often. Loved it. And ... for now, at least ... I have to admit I'm kinda Team Marcellino. I know he's been one of the most hated guys but, at least in this episode, I felt like he was really trying, in his set-in-his-ways kind of way, to get to the bottom of a fishy situation. I get the feeling he has probably had some anger management counseling and isn't an A-plus student yet. Also, I can't figure out how much addled Clint is acting the part vs how much he actually thinks Tracie is the most beautiful woman in the world. She is by far the fugliest of this group and that's saying a lot. I think we can also deduct from Clint's parents' house (or, as the graphic read, parent's house) that he's not the one paying for all the bills on his credit and debit cards with his no-tell motel clerk wages. Enablers-R-Us. I can't even with Lizzie and Jazzmyne. Lizzie really is the most delusional of all of these delusional creatures. And by the way, that was NOT "Here Comes the Bride" she was singing badly. It was "Hail to the Chief" which probably fits her dominatrix personality better anyway. Save Adam.

I'm almost stunned to stumble onto an awesome shit-show that's only in its second season so not SO much to catch up on ... But ... am I the only one who thinks Scott actually looked better (comparatively) before his so-called makeover? And am I also the only one who is rubbed every possible wrong way by Jazmyne? slinks away ...

I can TOTALLY see that now that you mention it. Brian's just ... odd (whereas, of course, Coltee is completely normal). I'm gonna chalk up his really obnoxious behavior this week somewhat to overwhelming exhaustion but pretty much everyone could use the same excuse. Eddie was apparently so afraid of making enemies that he blew his advantage by a completely random team selection (the first four people he saw?) ... not that I minded, since I have a completely irrational dislike of him because he weirdly reminds me (physically, not personality-wise) of an ex-coworker who was the most evil POS I've ever worked "with" (I'm not even sure why, because he doesn't really look like him, it's just a vibe he gives off). I'll meet you halfway for the Puppy Chow, just name the date/time/place (Little Italy always welcome but I'd be happy to hit one of the markets and we can stalk blondie and her D).
