It is filler and a plot heavy way to reposition the players like pieces on a chessboard. It it all set up an frustrating set up really.

Morgan isn't wrong though. They knew nothing about that guy and Rick was ready to shoot him in the back.

Ok, I really need to go see That Key & Peele Keanu movie. I am not even ashamed.

Glen just wants to go home. Why not listen to Glen? Everybody is being dumb. I just can't stand plotting based on dumb decisions.

Priorities!

Wait all that gunfire and not a single walker? They usually appear out of thin air right about now.

I can just picture Negan back in his headquarters when he finds out a few more of his people have been killed pacing furiously going, "Like, seriously? What does it take to get good help these days!"

Carol's car is a new Post ZA model. The Ford Porcupine.

Really Abraham? I did not need to know your ass was freckled.

I thought it was getting a little porny there with Glen & Maggie for a hot minute. LOL.

Oh man, I remember first seeing Andrew Lincoln in a British comedy called Teachers (on Hulu now) years ago. He was the main character, younger and with his native accent. I didn't realize til years later this same guy was our Rick. I think it was during a ComiCon early in the TWD run when I heard him speak in his real accent that it clicked for me who he was. Th character couldn't be more different from Rick.

Not Like Ships In The Night: Shippers
DearEvette replied to Enigma X's topic in Actor/Character-Related Talk
Not only has it actually happened in Hollywood, but studios, agents and even the actors themselves have been complicit in participating in faux relationships. Sometimes it was done in order to hide gay actors/actresses sexual orientation. But most often it was employed as publicity to use the off-screen "real life" romance to create more interest and investment in the on-screen pairing a la Lina Lamont/Don Lockwood in Singing in the Rain. For a more IRL example there has always been speculation that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's real life relationship wasn't completely authentic considering they supposedly never verbally confirmed it and they broke up just before the final movie premiered. -
But ...but... Riggs' did what Amelia should have been doing in that case, which was teaching the resident and allowing them to do a procedure on a service they should be learning. Amelia is so much in her feels about Penny/Derek that she was not doing her due diligence as a doctor in a teaching hospital. If anything, Riggs was being the professional in that case. Also, I don't thinks Riggs' assessment of Owen was out of line. It isn't because Owen healthily accepted his sister's death. It is because Owen keeps insisting that Riggs is the one that "killed" his sister and is holding onto a rather unhealthy rage at Riggs because of it. If Owen insists on being mad at anyone, he should be mad at his maybe-not-really-dead sister because she insisted on getting on the plane to see her patient. I presume she was a grown ass woman so she had some agency there. And honestly it may be a case of misplaced anger. He really is angry at his sister, but Riggs is the one who is conveniently around and is the only one he can unleash his anger out on. That doesn't mean I co-sign on Owen. I think he's a dick, really. Speaking of dicks... I thought Jackson's heaving anger just seemed so OOC. I felt like I was being manipulated to feel more sympathetic toward April. And I hated it because it was unnecessary. There was no need to show Jackson and grabbing her to sway opinion against him. In my opinion both April and Jackson are just the absolute worst. Separate, they are fine characters, together as Japril, they form one super annoying entity that makes me just want to nut punch them (thanks DeLuca!). One thing that their episode from a few weeks ago did was make it clear that they simply don't know each other and they can not communicate with each other. This episode crystallized that further. I am 100% behind April's refusal to use her child to hang onto a husband that didn't want her. I am also 100% behind her assertion that her body-her choice. But her refusal to proceed with her pregnancy with all available information about her child's health is just dumb. What is she not going to do any prenatal testing? Ultra-sound? Blood test to check for neural tube defects? Down syndrome? There are a bunch of simple routine tests that every doctor recommends for pregnant women. Not knowing about the possible health issues of your child in utero doesn't mean they aren't going to happen and doesn't mean you have to abort, but it does mean that you can make some psychological preparations. I sincerely hope they don;t get back together. Stick a fork in them.

Yeah, I think Rick is sexy because he gives off a major alpha male vibe. But also, Andy Lincoln has a great walk.

I am gonna actually say something nice about Betsy. I know, I know... someone hold me. But outside of the terrible v.o. Betsy was well integrated in the flashback and worked really well for the mythology. Plus... she wasn't all tits out. I am no prude, but he show got waaaay off on the wrong foot by making her this supposed bad-ass spy who could infiltrate enemy lines wearing nothing but a bustier & a smirk. In last night's show she had a credibility that she was lacking in the earlier episodes.

I liked this episode ... except for one thing... but we'll get to that later. First, I liked the use of history in this episode. It felt very much grounded in reality but with the Sleepy Hollow twist. The history stuff with the flag and the threads and the music notes all felt clever. Second, nice shout out to Hamilton. Of course Crane would have Opinions about the Real Hamilton's singing voice! I bet he'd totally love the musical tho. Third, Pandora's scenes with the THO were strong. And, as usual, Shannyn Sossamon really brung it. Also, I must say Peter Mensah has some really, really nice arms! Also she is an Ichabbie shipper! Of course they love each other! Fourth, Ichabod was giving some really strong side eye in the car when Abbie was explaining stuff to Danny and I am her for it. He seemed too through. LOL. Okay now, ugh, really show? Abbie wanting to start something with Danny? Why now? Why not six or seven episodes ago? My only consolation is I think it is the spur that is going to make Ichabod confess how he really feels. Also, I get the feeling Danny is not the type who would be ok with Abbie & Ichabod's bond and would force Abbie to choose.

Spoilers and Speculation
DearEvette replied to Pete Martell's topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
Rick and Co. have managed to devastate entire communities simply by interacting with them. But everytime they move on, they manage to hang onto at least one member from said devastated community, with the possible exception of the original Prison crew, they're all dead. Maggie is the last survivor from the Farm, Sasha could theoretically be considered the last Woodbury person since she was a resident there when Rick & Co. had their confrontation with the Gov. Tara is the last survivor from the Gov's second community. Although he wasn't part of Terminus, Gabriel is part of that story line so he could arguably be considered the last remnant of that narrative. There are still a handful of Alexandrians left. We just lost Denise and the entire Jessie Family, so I figure a few more of them are still safe. Maybe Aaron will end up being the most visible Alexandria survivor since he's had the most character development of them all. Arguably the only group that Rick & Co. have encountered that is still intact is Abraham's army. So in my nonscientific shuffling of the character board, I figure one of them is a goner. Maybe not Lucilled, but will not survive the finale. Good money is on either Abraham or Rosita. I am giving the slight edge to Rosita since it seems counter-intuitive for Denise to have subbed for Abraham's death in the comics only to have him die so soon after anyway. And I wonder if him losing her necklace is supposed to be more symbolic than of just him choosing Sasha. But I am still going with Glenn as the big death. Doing my own math, of all the main characters left he is the one I'd be least angry about dying at this point. -
Or Drunk History. Tracee Ellis Ross would totally kill in an episode of Drunk History! She's so expressive.

If that is true, then Dwight can't shoot for shit. -
Regina Hall is a fricking national treasure! She's in a cute indie move called People, Places, Things (On Netflix maybe or Amazon prime?) anyway she plays Jessica Williams' mother in that one. Crazy! I also wanted to add how much I enjoyed that last conversation between Vivian, Dre and Bow. it was nice to have them talk real talk. I liked Dre's frankness in explaining how he wants to feel comfortable in his own house but I also liked Vivian coming back with the "in the spirit of professionalism" she needed him to stop calling her Black Nanny. It was great scene by all of them. Have to admit I am not hating Wanda Sykes like I thought I would. I am actually enjoying how in her own way she is just as totally inappropriate as Stevens is. Their bonding about the trustworthiness of Trinidadians vs. Tobagoan nannies was funny. So she fits right in.

"Oye Como Va...something something" that is totally my understanding of the lyrics of that song... Also loved the Dre's voice coming out of Bow's mouth and the same gag later with Bow's voice coming out of Dre's mouth.

Ah, ok. I stopped reading the i09 reviews about...maybe the 4th ep of S3. Had none of the sense of fun of before and it was clear she was no longer enjoying the show. So the reviews no longer became must read for me.

Yeah, that is what I mean though. It could be completely innocent and mean absolutely nothing. But what if it isn't?!?!? So of course you have to blow it up and examine it under a microscope with an Encyclopedia Brown like thoroughness. Why is she touching him? Where are his hands? What does the expression on her face mean? What does the expression on his face mean? What does this all even mean? LOL. The thirst is real y'all. The funny thing is I was just a half ass Ichabbie shipper. Loved their actorly chemistry, wouldn't mind if they got together eventually but wasn't pushing for it really. Until this season and then somehow I climbed on board and brought my cooler, snacks, deck chair and life preserver with me.

I have to agree with this. For the most part I think the critics can be summed up as "Not the show we fell in love with in S1, but solid episodes that deliver some entertainment." Praise for Mison and Beharie remain universally high, even amongst the most critical critics. I will always have a super soft spot for the i09 reviews especially those from S1. They are hands down some of the best and funniest reviews of the show I have ever read. But my feeling is that reviewer falls into the "this is not the show I fell in love with" group. And i get the sense that people in that group will never like anything but a return to S1 storytelling, no matter how interesting (in a different way) the show may have become. I agree that S3 is a much quieter less dazzling season than S1 and I kinda hate the MOW format, but the overall arc is interesting, there have been stellar stand out episodes and the individual performances have been great. On a different note, I just have to say I love how totally thirsty the Ichabbie fandom is. Pix from the final ep of the season have been released (nothing too spoilery) and this particular one is giving everyone palpitations. I can't lie, I am totally up there with the "What does this even mean?" group.
