  1. I disagree. To me, the biggest copout was the change from LUKE RAPES LAURA to LUKE SEDUCES LAURA. To me, they can't further frig up that story. I'd appreciate this retcon.
  2. I feel exactly the opposite. I dreaded Samtrick, but since I've seen them together, I think they generate a lot of heat. I don't like their storyline. That is, I'd rather they'd have had a romance written for them, than this OH IT'S A FRIENDSHIP/NO, IT'S HOT SEX thing, but I still think they have great chemistry, and JT hasn't looked this alive in years.
  3. This story is a disservice to both Kassie D and Melissa R. I know people dislike MR because of her um socially conservative stances, but she's a good soap actress. Nobody wins in this scenario. They need to give both actresses storylines in which they're not overly involved in their adult kids' sex lives.
  4. I can't even. I understand that people who are familiar with Melissa Archer's work are hoping she has a storyline. I'm not, so I'm hoping she has a deathline. AWFUL.
  5. Melissa Archer has sucked like a Hoover on Days. Granted, I've never seen her on another soap, and the DOOL writers never wrote her anything worth acting. That said, she STILL sucked. Please don't import her, Ron.
  6. OMG, Boes. You made me choke on my own spit.
  7. I get that "Lumi" is Lucas/Sami, but what the hell is Lumily? Also, who the hell is toothy (I mean, what soap actor isn't toothy)?
  8. I'm sorry for being dumb, but who is VA? I know FH is Finola Hughes and DZ is Domenic Zwhatever, but VA is totally escaping me.
  9. I couldn't disagree with this, more. Sabrina and Nathan would be SO boring together. They both need to be with live-wires/spitfires. Okay, I don't disagree with the "mute if they got annoying" part that much, except I'm pretty sure they'd leave me comatose before I could find the mute button. I don't even dislike Ryan and/or his acting. But these two characters as a couple, to me, epitomize boredom.
  10. Are you sure? In the preview, the actress looked African American or mixed race (and not like RB).
  11. I kind of always figure Joe and John have told production that they'll work a few days a month, and so production does what it can with them. That, though, is totally my surmise. I like Maggie (I remember being a little kid, when she was brought on, so some of my fondness can be blamed on that) and I like Maggie and Victor as an unconventional couple. That said, I like Maggie, because when the writers turn her into an unbearable scold, I blame it on writer error, and don't hold the character at fault (and yes, this means I'm cheating).
  12. I think this possible. I figure Kristen must need Theresa's blood to swap in for her own and "prove" that she (Kristen) is the bio mother of Brady's spawn.
  13. Oh, right. Thank you, Tiger. It's a damn shame DOOL killed off that hottie in favor of Clyde's hairy henchman.
  14. I would normally be right with you, because I agree that DOOL refuses to write good stories for women. That said, I hate Foghorn Leghorn, um, I mean, I mean Clyde so much, that I'd be fine if aliens invaded and carted his ass out of Salem. I'm assuming Victor is getting Stefano on the hook, so that he can get him to eliminate Clyde for killing EJ (and hurting Sonny), so I'm their cheering squad. Plus, I love these old dudes. They get so much more about soaps than the current writers on any show will ever get.
  15. So Carly killed Steve Hardy. She IS the reason we can't have nice things. (Seriously, I'm loving all these old clips of SJB in the role. That's my Carly.)
  16. Oh, so that's where Faison went. Edited to add: jinx
  17. I agree. What I have to do is hand-wave it. Everyone on GH sucks, even the good guys. So as a viewer, I have no problem with Sabrina watching that baby, because she is Sabrina, and she would never hurt the baby. And if Luke didn't go to jail for raping Laura, and Sonny gets pardoned, because he saved an extra, and Jason, Carly, Maxie, Spin, Bobbi and everyone else has gotten away with everything they've gotten away with, over the years, well, Sabrina's crime hardly rates. She felt really bad about it (said in a Spike from BtVS voice, a la Pangs) and she called Jordan and put a stop to it. Compared to the rest of these morons, psychopaths and mental defectives, Sabrina is still a sparkly princess. My issue as a viewer is with Michael. Since he knows what Sabrina did, he shouldn't be hiring her. Full stop. It was way icky. What I keep telling myself is that Michael had a meeting at the MC restaurant. He had Sabrina meet him there to pick up the baby. He had that encounter with Duke and decided he needed to move away from him. The guy he was meeting with wasn't there, yet, so he moved to the bar area of the restaurant, just to get away from Duke. I have a question. Someone, or maybe multiple people (I forget who) write Duke's name as "Dewq." Why? It's the same number of letters. It makes the same sound. What is the backstory?
  18. I love watching moderators Hokey Pokey their way back on topic. Well played, WendyCR72. I have faith that Stephen Nichol's GH Stefan and DOOL Steve can vanquish both squads. I'm glad he's going to DOOL right now, though, because his Sweetness is there.
  19. Who is Damon? Matt Ashford's Jack is probably my favorite male soap character of all time, but DOOL ruined him for me, when they sent him on that Australian walkabout, and he didn't even contact Jennifer when Alice died. He just blogged. Granted, they later retconned all that, into Jack spending a year (or however long) in an Afghanistan cave, but by then, I'd hated Jack too long (and had been through too many of Jack's other flake episodes). I want nothing more than for the Show to let Jack rest in peace. If they bring him back, they'll just damage him, some more. I mean, I'd rather have more Jordan than more Jack at this point, and Jordan's last day on this show was my happiest day watching this show since probably Jack dressed up like a fireman and kidnapped Jennifer from her asinine wedding to Emilio.
  20. Did you always hate Victor, Marigold, or did it happen over time? I hated him in the pre-Stefano days, because he was the big bad. I've liked his journey, though, and I appreciate that he says the things a lot of us are thinking, now. Also, I'm in awe of both John Aniston and Joe Mascolo, because they're still turning in great performances at their age. DiamondErica1979, a few times, I thought they were going to put Brady and Jennifer together (probably the last time was when they helped each other with their grief after Madison and Jack died in the explosion). I think that could have been interesting. And while Jennifer is a little older than Brady, it's not decades. I suffer serious squick with Eve and JJ, probably because I have a kid about his age, and I'm younger than Kassie D. I don't mind a May/December romance (or even affair), but Eve/JJ turns my stomach. That's probably not an unpopular opinion, so I'll shut up, now.
  21. She should absolutely have the same feelings against Sonny (and worse, really) that she has against Sabrina. She should not want Sonny to raise baby AJ. She should be grateful to Michael. I can't imagine how she can reconcile her feelings by anything other than, "It's in the script."
  22. Oh, come on. There's a difference. I've seen Sabrina's private moments of regret. I watch her frantically trying to get in touch with Jordan, to stop Ava from taking the meds. Kiki heard Sabrina express her regret. There's a difference. And again, as I said in the larger post, it wouldn't matter to me how regretful she was. If Sabrina had done that to my mother, I'd never want her serving as nanny for my baby sister, or any other baby I knew. Now, I'm not trying to say Kiki's support of Sonny makes any damn sense in light of the Sabrina situation. I was only talking about understanding why Kiki is upset that Sabrina is the baby's nanny. Kiki is delusional for letting Sonny take Avery from her, without a fight.
  23. I hate myself for what I'm about to say, but this is one place where I empathize with Kiki's actions. To me, she doesn't have to equate what Sabrina did with what Sonny has done (and spent months threatening to do). If I were Kiki, I would not want the nurse, who tried to cause my mother to miscarry my little sister, being brought on as the nanny for my little sister (or for any baby I ever laid eyes on). I, as a TV viewer, know Sabrina is remorseful. If this were happening in my real life, I wouldn't care about remorse. I think bringing Sabrina on as Avery's nanny was a big mistake by Michael. He should be taking care to be perfect about everything having to do with Avery.
