  1. Batman has the longer... belt.
  2. Not seeing the first Cloverfield movie might have been a smart move for myself. I went into this movie with very little expectations and was pleasantly surprised.
  3. Let's get something off my chest. I still think season 1 is still the BEST GRIMM season. It was shot like a fairy tale, everything was so colorful, I mean just look at the visuals of the first two episodes and the scene at night of Juliette vising Nick in the trailer while he is going over the Grimm books. Beautiful. The episodes were still mostly inspired by fairy tales with the Wesen, instead of the generic crime of the weeks nowadays. Nick was still a rookie Grimm and learning things as he went along, which made his mistakes and screwups more forgivable. Not anymore. It made the best use of Silas Weir Mitchell, since the rest of the cast didn't know what they were doing, he really took over the Monroe role. We had the most Nick and Monroe teamups, frankly I think the show lost something the more and more people around Nick discovered he was a Grimm. I think if the entire show had just centered on Nick solving cases with his wacky Wesen sidekick and less on Nick's personal life, that would still be as awesome. It has been stated countless times before, but Renard was just better as the shady character instead of Nick's current boring always on the phone ally. Adalind was still a badass, a screw up but still an entertaining badass. There were still no babies in her life, thank god. The show truely jumped the shark when the writers decided to make her pregnant a second time. Did they purposely ignore how much the first pregnancy was hated by such a large number of Grimm fans? Juliette was still the girlfriend in a rightfully supporting role, instead of taking over the entire show. They character assassinated the character in S4 by making her do terrible things like burning the trailer and setting up Nick's mother for death, and maybe didn't expect it to get so out of hand, so they were forced bring BT back as a new character in a storyline that doesn't even make any sense and wildly unGrimm. This Black Claw mess feels like that failure Initiative storyline from S4 of Buffy. Most of all, the show in S1 felt like an underdog with the writers knowing that they could be canceled at any moment, so they were fighting to prove themselves. Now? It feels like the writers throwing anything at a wall hoping something will stick, how else can we explain the Nadalind and Eve mess?
  4. I loved this movie! Mary Elizabeth Winstead was the main reason I went to see this. She did some great stuff with the role of a freaked out girl that's trapped in a bunker, and is one of the few actresses that I find both talented and hot. Went in expecting horror got a great thriller instead. John Goodman stole the show. The "aliens" at the end turned out to be the least interesting part of the movie. The only thing that bugged me was that containment suit was BS, and would have never worked in the first place. I never saw the first Colverfield, since I hate found footage movies! Should I bother with that? Excellent, A, Awesome, for 10 Cloverfield Lane.
  5. Great episode. My favorite part was the Nick and Monroe adventure. Adalind getting her powers back is only going to make her storyline more interesting. I'm not feeling the Renard storyline, what direction are they going to take that exactly? So we finally know what the treasure is that the keys led to. How does it work and can only Grimms use its power?
  6. Anyone else shocked this show has managed to reach 100 episodes? I'm pretty sure even NBC had written it off when it first premiered by putting it on Friday nights. No matter if Grimm gets another season or not, hitting 100 is a huge win since many shows can't even get a second season.
  7. Will Scarlett has the be the biggest example of dropped character on this show. I will never understand why they made him a main and gave him nothing to do. Just terrible planning. The showrunners were too distracted by Frozen and the Queens of Darkness. A two parter with Will Scarlett would have been better.

  11. The whole Nick/Adalind romance feels like a Nadlind fangirl muscled her way into the writing room and forced the showrunners to accept her badly written fan fiction romance. It's like watching a slow car crash that you can't look away from. It is too bizarre for me to take seriously, so I'm treating as parody of a cheap supermarket paperback romance, which is the only way I can handle it at this point.
  12. To be fair, DG had to watch Juliette pretend bang Renard first and then Kenneth (Ewwww!). Anyway, all these "sex" scenes on network television are laughably tame compared to stuff like HBO's Game of Thrones sex scenes.
  13. 1.0! The last Grimm episode adjusted up in the Final ratings. YESSSSSS! Now that's what I'm talking about! NOT fractional! I can see NBC bringing back Grimm since everything else is so low on Friday. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2016/03/07/friday-final-ratings-march-4-2016/
  14. This year's season (series?) finale should end with Nick waking up in bed and going to find his still alive mother stepping out of the shower. "Mom, I've just had the strangest dream."
  15. Holy crap! Best episode since the Monroe got kidnapped by the hate group from season 4. I was getting some serious season one goodness vibes with Nick and Monroe teaming up to go on an adventure in a forest, the main plot being about the keys, and S1 flashback of the best version of Adalind, and even the flashback from S2 with Nick's mom. Remember how much more colorful the look of the entire show was like something out of a fairy tale? When Monroe was the only one in on the Grimm secret and Nick's wacky Wesen partner? Remember when Juliette was the clueless girlfriend, Adalind the tormentor with no babies, Renard the shady boss? Damn... I really need to rewatch Season 1 before the upcoming season (series?) finale. The stuff with the shooter was pretty average, but Renard might finally be going somewhere with that plot. Ehhh at Nick sleeping with Adalind, the writers clearly want us to know Nick has forgiven her, so I decided to not care about it anymore since he doesn't. The 100th episode is next week!

    Zootopia (2016)

Disney's newest animated movie has been getting spectacular reviews so far.
  17. No ending! No resolution! Chris Carter strikes again! DAMMIT!
  18. I honestly don't care about this character anyone. I just want to know which dumb writer decided to neuter Adalind and change her from the screwup villain into the boring housewife? Claire Coffee deserves better. I miss the hell out of season one Adalind.
  19. I loved this episode. It has been so long since we last had an episode focused on Monroe. Also minimum Adalind and RoboJuliette/Eve which I consider a win these days. Finally, the writers remember the keys still exist. The characters finding those 20 Grimm books was obviously the writers trying to fix some of the damage they did to the show after burning down the trailer, but I don't mind. I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I imagine that plot point might have been a "suggestion" from NBC to get back some of that successful season one vibe.
  20. I was bored to tears while watching this episode. It felt too much like a backdoor pilot for those two new agents. Don't do it, FOX! I'm going to rewatch the first X-Files movie tonight to wash the bad taste of this episode out of my mouth.
  21. Grimm just has to "outrun the other guy" to avoid cancellation. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/09/15/outrunning-the-cancellation-bear-why-relative-ratings-matter-for-your-favorite-tv-shows-3/ No way I see the current NBC 8PM comedies getting new seasons. But we have another Sci Fi/Fantasy show on Friday. Fringe was like 3 years ago, and those sitcoms airing right before Grimm are an entirely different genre.. Constantine wasn't doing much better last year, but that show wasn't owned by NBC. Sleepy Hollow and Grimm face the same problems right now, both dramas with lower ratings owned by networks on Fridays, so I'll be interesting to do how SH does in the next few weeks compared to Grimm.
  22. FOX moving Sleepy Hollow to Fridays turned out to be a VERY smart move. 0.9 rating is just down a little bit from the season 3 premiere (1.0 on a Thursday), AND lower ratings are more tolerated on Fridays. Looks like SH and Grimm actually helped each other last night with both being on Fridays. FOX might have just saved the show with the move.

  24. Claire Coffee wasn't actually pregnant in season 2 and 3. All the blame should be on the Grimm writers for that dragged out boring Adalind in Europe mess. Just like this current baby mama storyline should be blamed entirely on the writers for writing Coffee's real life pregnancy into the show in season 4. Writing real life pregnancies into a show is something I think only lazy soap opera writers do. When Bree Turner got pregnant in season 2, the writers just reduced her role in several episodes and literally put Rosalee on a bus to take care of her sick aunt for the middle of the season 2, because Rosalee having a baby wasn't the story the writers wanted to tell. Adalind getting pregnant for the second time was a real shark jumping moment, because of how hated the first pregnancy storyline was. It was like the writers completely ignored all the negative fan reactions when it happened the first time. The writers really should have just hidden that fact that Coffee was having a baby and not written that into the show, and given her a few episodes off like they did with Bree.
  25. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2016/02/06/tv-ratings-friday-feb-5-2016/ Something in favor of a Grimm season 6 renewal.... Sleepy Hollow finally aired on a Friday last night for the first time with a new episode, and it also got a 0.9 rating like Grimm. So a 0.9 might be the best rating a Fantasy crime drama can get on Friday nights right now. Grimm now has that going for it. As long as ratings remain steady at 0.9, or do better than Sleepy Hollow, even if they aren't on the same time (SH is at 8PM), I think the chances for a season 6 of Grimm is pretty good.
