Sorry to keep harping about the "Daphne Fat" storyline but it's still going on where I'm watching (Daphne Returns - Jane Leeves is skinny again, but the fat jokes continue). Another reason I dislike it is because the show so obviously dumbed itself down to make it work. All the cracks about Daphne's weight just make the show take a nosedive in intellect. People also just went way out of character starting around now, like Martin. He became sort of jerk-ish. And does anyone believe Frasier in any other season would get the Refrigerator Pig for Daphne? I can see that Niles was idealizing Daphne, clearly, but................... it doesn't really seem fair to blame Niles for Daphne's weight gain. People should be accepted and loved as they are. If anything, Niles's love for Daphne should have made her feel more confident instead of less. They're acting like Niles's love for her was emotionally abusive. I wonder what real psychiatrists think about this storyline.

Pearl Jam's Yellow Ledbetter is in my notes. I assume that's the finale song, but honestly, I don't remember it because I probably have seen the finale once, maybe twice.

Just something random, I used a lot of Worchestershire sauce in a recipe and had a very bad reaction the next day. I think it's the anchovies. Thankfully there are a million substitutes that I can use instead. I threw the sauce out. I have random food intolerances (like raisins, sauerkraut, something about fermentation that I don't understand.)

I totally get what you're saying. I really wanted to like Ty at first, and Claudia probably did too. But she seems sooooo much more mature than him. He's a dick.

This just aired in Canada! So they only air 4 days later than you guys! That makes me so happy, I actually know what's going on. I really love David, but Those scratch off episodes really annoyed me! It took me forever to figure out that they're episodes I had already seen!

I think there's another show I know about like that, but of course my memory is terrible.

Wendie Malick looks pretty good. The laugh track is so overkill, just presenting the "Welcoming Committee" thing or whatever with placards is not funny, but they dial the laugh track up to 11 like it's fall over hysterical. Kinda clever that the show stole the Ocean's 11 soundtrack, I guess. Why did Jesse suddenly not like the woman he was dating?

Another set of two of the same kind of Frasier episode: Two episodes involving Niles and Basketball. The Reggie Macklemore episode, "Head Game", and Hooping Cranes where Niles gets the half court shot. I always wondered whether the rapper Macklemore, who is from Seattle , named himself after Reggie Macklemore. Watching Frasier and Roz break up with this French guy in "Hooping Cranes" is hysterical!

And yet she was so judgemental about Sam's sex life ! 😄

Back in the day, these people used the phrase "politically correct" or "affirmative action" to mean anything where it wasn't all white faces in the media. Now it's turned to "woke" and "diversity hiring". It's all the same thing. It's all just racist dog whistles. You're absolutely right.

TV and science fiction in particular were always ahead of the game. Star Trek, and then shows like LOST much later on. These are very successful shows within their landscapes. Reality shows are pretty diverse, I always bring up something like Project Runway which unfortunately barely exists today. The show seems to cast not even bothering to care whether somebody is from America or has English as their first language, and I always loved that. For a long time there were people arguing that a white face was needed to sell an American movie, but that has been proven again and again to be not the case, so I don't even know what people's argument is anymore.
