  1. Me too. Also, they cast thoughtfully, which a lot of movies and shows don't bother to do. For example, Katie could realistically have been the child of the people cast as her parents.
  2. I didn't even know that and I watched the whole show twice. That's an awesome fact, thank you. (Frankly it isn't our business. Which adds to the many reasons why I was annoyed this show made it our business so unmistakeably.) I'm a big fan of the show The Exes, and they made this kind of comment about Patricia Heaton because their own actor was super pregnant at the time. I kind of hate that type of joke, but whatever. I assume "The Nanny"'s joke came off as more clever. I kind of think shows shouldn't look down on their audiences so much. If people notice a bigger stomach, so what? We see them on male actors all of the time! If it's the actress's choice that's one thing but if it's because producers and directors are just so TERRIFIED of a female actor having extra pounds on her body or her face that they feel the need for an insane explanation for it, that's what pisses me off.
  3. Most of the people I grew up with are Asian and I don't find it common at all.
  4. If this is true this is absolutely disgusting of Netflix.
  5. Thank you! And I know there are more examples, but it's hard for me to come up with them, because the showrunners did such a good job. On King of Queens, Leah Remini gave birth to a child in the last few seasons of the show. On Sex and the City, SJP did as well. They shortened one season for that purpose. The season wasn't great, but at least they didn't claim that she had a weight problem. There's a show called Happy Together where the main actress was pregnant like immediately, like just a few episodes in. Unfortunately the show was cancelled after 1 season, but it shows you how much things have changed since the 90s. I don't think that dating your coworker is the most casual situation. If it doesn't work out, it could be bad professionally. My opinion. At the very least, it is a distraction from your job and not the easiest minefield to get into.
  6. I have a hard time understanding how people will watch Abbott Elementary and get so upset about the "Will they Won't they" dynamic on that show, say it's taking too long, just "Decide already", etc. It feels like just yesterday that show started. To me it feels like nothing. With Frasier people had to wait 7 years. I had no stakes in the Daphne/Niles drama so I don't think I cared. I certainly don't remember caring. What I do remember feeling passionate about is not liking how they wrote Daphne once Jane Leeves got pregnant. It felt so hypocritical; Jane Leeves was a size zero and she was treated as this goddess on the show. So it's like when Jane gained some weight the writers thought, we have no idea how to write a woman like this. And they went insane. It's just another display of how badly this show wrote women in my opinion. That whole subplot just ruined the whole Niles and Daphne FINALLY getting together thing. Elaine Benes did not have this problem on Seinfeld and Julia Louis Dreyfus was pregnant on the show TWICE. It just makes me upset.
  7. LOL @Annber03that is so funny! Honestly though I felt bad that he didn't go through.
  8. That's one of my favourite songs so I don't criticize the song but she could have chosen anything. The way she sang the song bore no resemblance towards it. She would have sang any song that particular way. Yeah I have to watch it a bit late so I can fast forward or else it's like being held hostage by these stories.
  9. Is Byrd the one that said "This is country with a K" what the heck did that mean? Soli........... Olivia Soli? That's someone who felt suspiciously good. She has an IMDB page and has performed in a movie.
  10. Episode aired Mar 5, 2023. Next week, Idol airs after the Oscars. The Oscars always run late. Adjust your DVRs accordingly.
  11. I think in theory I like the idea of satirizing a handsome white straight guy like that. I get what she's going for. But....... I don't know. I don't think she's managed to keep it fresh. It gets way too absurd. For example, I definitely think there were or are shows where women have to weigh in. Remember the 90s, when almost every star of a 90s show was practically anorexic. So I like the idea of satirizing that. But I don't know if she's making it work.
  12. Quinta had a long relationship with them.
  13. Oh maybe that was it. I thought we had actually seen it before but I guess not.
  14. What?! I thought there was a cash prize that was referenced on the show many times, no?!
  15. Omg, thanks. Usually these are blocked for Canadians but not this time!
  16. Yeah I expected zero but Travis was surprisingly good at this. The writing was ok. Not as horrible as I expected.
  17. Sarah Sherman doing her news thing feels like a totally different era now. It's been so long since she's done this. Does anyone find it funny that she implies Colin roofies her? I mean... come on. It was funny to have James Austin Johnson's character sing like Michael McDonald. LOL. Talking about how they have sex results in their kids being different races is really familiar so apparently I've seen a version of this sketch before. That Stewie Griffin sketch was so weird lol. The actors were all clearly reading cue cards and yet it was kind of funny.
  18. My TV cut out for one second and went to a blue screen during the PDD sketch, when the old lady had the gun. Almost like a weird censorship thing?! Okay, here's the full thing. She just said "You wanna play a game?" LOL so that couldn't have been censored.
  19. The actor who plays Mo is a rapper named Vince Staples. I had no idea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_Staples Vincent Jamal Staples (born July 2, 1993) is an American rapper and singer. Staples was once a close associate of Odd Future, Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt in particular. He is currently signed to Motown and Blacksmith Records.
  20. He's so funny and cute. Thank you for the laugh again And for anyone here talking about Bone Town 😄
  21. Looks like next week's episode (not tomorrow's but next week) is after the Oscars. So, it will probably run very late. If you care you might want to adjust your DVR.
  22. He starred as the CEO of Uber in "Super Pumped". But I didn't much for the pilot and didn't continue the show after that. I assume Poker Face will be treated as a limited series and then indeed they will probably get all of the awards especially if White Lotus is not competing the same year. I found it unfair that WL was treated as a limited series when it's already shooting Season 3 and yet they get to dominate all the Limited Series awards. I can see Poker Face being treated the same way.
  23. I forgot all of that myself. This is a pretty lengthy summary: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Man's_Hand_(Poker_Face)
  24. I swear I had a feeling somebody would quote that line 😁
