  1. We lost that Turning Red award early on, LOL, but that's okay I guess...
  2. Yes and I was shocked about Jamie Lee Curtis too. Colin was very good in "Cassandra's Dream".
  3. I loved it too. I love Bedazzled. If you think about it, he played like 7 roles, quite an acting feat. And of course I love Encino Man. I love Blast from the Past and Mrs. Winterbourne too. Just a lot of good movies.
  4. "603A (Auditions)" New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Nashville, Tennessee. Airing Sunday March 12, after the Oscars. I was so scared it was going to be a clip show, but thank goodness it was new contestants. Oh, that's it! Nice and short 1 hour episode. Good!
  5. If the Saturday Night Live editors' strike is resolved by then, then Quinta Brunson is scheduled to host the show April 1. As I'm sure you'd expect, some of us SNL fans have been clamouring for this.
  6. I believe his publicist even said he's going to keep reaching out to constituents and refuses to stop. It's a pretty funny story. Yeah, he is just one big I Don't Get It. A bunch of sexist jokes that are (maybe?) supposed to be satirical, yawn! I used to really dislike him because he'd always trip over his delivery and I thought he would be replaced but I guess not! Colin Jost loves him so I guess Michael's just going to be there forever. I really don't get what is supposed to be great about him and I still think he is not the right person for the job. But now it's been so long I am just used to it and accept it. At least Colin can deliver the lines without constantly messing up, and he doesn't laugh after all of his own punchlines. He's able to do deadpan extremely well.
  7. Some of this didn't do anything for me, but what worked for me, really did. When the show was good, I was genuinely really laughing. But if I didn't care, I just didn't care (The MTV Ridiculousness show. The Game show sketch. Waffle house.) Poltergeist was okay I guess and jingle was okay only because of the breaking. But for me, mediocre. This was an interesting hosting stint because Jenna was more like a really good actor rather than a funny host. That's fine, and the style worked for what it was, I guess. The humour wasn't about her but rather everyone else. She's a 20 year old who looks even younger than that, so I think the writers felt a bit awkward about it and kept putting her in a child role. She's really cute. She was so cute in the jingle sketch, though it didn't really make me laugh. Also, I'm a big Fred Armisen fan, so I'm already cringing in anticipation for the complaints about him, LOL, hope I'm wrong. My favourite parts: I really really liked the cold open because it wasn’t the usual boring political bullshit. For me that was a breath of fresh air. And the Draft Kings betting on the Oscars was so realistic and relevant. It reminded me of a conversation I was having with someone the other day. Fred Armisen / The Parent Trap Sketch Please Don’t Destroy James Austin Johnson’s Short Impressions I hate giving Colin credit for anything, but his surprised laughter at the audience’s reactions and Michael were really cute today. Oh yeah, I forgot Molly as the Governor! That was also good! That was great. Unexpected and he just really delivered. Simple, to the point, and effective.
  8. Oh my god. I don't usually complain about her, but this is such a pet peeve of mine. She says it so often it loses all meaning. No point. I wonder if the producers tell her to do that because it's ALL. OF. THE. TIME. Damn. Maybe you're right. Maybe she insisted on being there which is.... really kind of sad and stage mom-ish.
  9. Holy crap. The show and Adam got me so good. Hahahahhaha. That was something else.
  10. Anyone remember Martin trying to rile up Daphne about Mel so that Daphne will massage him harder? After Martin tries to rile her up, his big grin and look of anticipation on his face for the massage always makes me laugh 😄 LOL, After Niles calls out one of Mel's friends for being a drunk, everyone makes all these comments about Niles having courage. Wife: Thank you for giving me my husband back. 😄
  11. Yeah, we've seen this so many times it's understandable that our patience has run out. Dawn seems to be a big time favourite of the Food Network chefs. She has popped up on other shows, sometimes unable to plate on time, of course. 😄
  12. Ah, Season 8, my least favourite season. You can tell the writing is starting to get very clunky. As if Martin would walk through Frasier's apartment yelling, "Fine, but I'm attending this wedding reception under protest only" and reminding Niles "Don't forget Niles to wear that watch Mel gave you." 🙄 At least this episode has some good lines like Frasier's "I am Wounded" and Niles's "Damn that Mel." I actually find Simon pretty amusing. It's Daphne's mother that I dislike. There's really little entertainment value she provides, except for that episode where she hangs out with the artist in Niles's apartment when Daphne is trying to throw a dinner party.
  13. What were the parameters of that last challenge? I assume it was, make a vegetable forward dish and you must have a protein, yet the judges kept criticizing the dishes over and over by saying "This chef didn't need (the protein they used)." How can both things be true? I couldn't follow that logic. What happened with the water, I couldn't catch that.
  14. Also as soon as the shot rang out, there was pandemonium and Ben Bratt's character was yelling for people to "get Charlie" and "She killed him". Who would he be yelling to if the room was empty?
  15. So far, I am watching every episode. I just saw episode 2. I like how smart Claudia seems. John Michael admitted stuff that blew my mind in a bad way. What was he thinking? Does anyone know what happened with Amal?
  16. Wasn't it a large casino floor? Not a tiny room? I didn't know it was established that it was empty. What about employees, servers, etc.?
  17. Yes that's why we call him Guyliner. 🙂
  18. Simon: Don't worry Roz, I know where I can get my hands on some very nice Armani suits. Martin: Well you could just take one from Frasier's closet. Roz (pissed off): What do you think he was TALKING about?! 😄 I do like the two episodes that deal with Niles's and Daphne's respective weddings, but you can see the writers setting up Jane Leeves's pregnancy with really lowbrow fat and eating jokes. Martin says Daphne's getting fat and needs to stop eating so much, and Roz insults Daphne's baker aunt by talking about how large she is. Does it not seem totally out of character for Martin to say something so nasty to Daphne especially? Donny going from hotel room to hotel room with his foot exposed asking if he has a boil or a blister does not help the gross accusations.
  19. Oh yeah. I forgot. He did "Brick" and "Looper" and JGL was the star of both.
  20. LOL it's so weird how Rhea and Ron Perlman have almost the exact same name. I agree that it is frustrating, but she plays the exact role every single episode. She never ever suspects the person who is super suspicious and instead tells them everything she's thinking. It's so aggravating but unfortunately an immovable mark of the show.
  21. I thought Janine said Ayesha was younger, but not sure now. This article says younger also: https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a42791805/abbott-elementary-season-2-ayo-edebiri-ayesha/
  22. She's dating someone in the NBA so I doubt she's hard up for tickets.
  23. Whether they work, or don't have to, or do, none of that makes it okay in my eyes. That's not Netflix's business.
  24. Personally I don't care what they were told versus not, no cash prize for a reality show feels really exploitative. Netflix gets to use these people's images, names, their histories/resumes from other shows, and gets to use them on their show, gets to use them for ratings, gets to exploit them and their love lives, gets to manipulate them, etc. and there's no cash prize? I don't care, for me it's disgusting either way. The contestants need a motivation and a payday or else it's just free labour. Any one who's entering a competitive reality show in 2023 would expect a cash prize to be involved.
